Not the point. I just want what I paid for, which is what comes with the GR box. Including the extra slots. And I don't intend to go premium, so this really has nothing to do with my post.

@CaptSammy:

Thank you.

I think you just cost me another $4 (or $6), curse you. (Or rather, kiss your feet.) I'll have to try that on one of my old accounts.

Edit: Tried it, and looks like it's only possible to apply it to a trial account. At least when I chose to use the code I was only offered trial accounts to apply it to.

Sorry for the misinformation. But thanks posting the correct info.

Q. Just wondering Posi, where are the new dance emotes we were told would come with GR?
A. Positron: Whoops, my bad.

1387 badges, and counting

You got my hopes up for a second, but they did say it was only for new accounts.

I don't want to find myself having to deal with NCSoft collections:

I was gonna make that joke!

Any retail code, including this $2 deal, grants Tier 2.

Here's what might count as an odd question:

Can I purchase this in the NCsoft store, write down the code, and give that code to a friend for him to apply to HIS (now lapsed) trial account, without having to do any shady "account information sharing"?

I'd really like to buy this as a gift, but don't have a convenient way to give him 2 dollars and tell him "Spend this on COH :P" because he's half-across the continent from me.

I don't remember if the code was shown fully.

I thought about buying another code, but the store doesn't let me. I guess I was lucky the first time.

Don't think so. I've bought Perk packs before and I don't recall them giving you the full code prior to the application. Once it's been applied, an email is sent (or at least I've gotten them) with the full code. But by then it's too late since the code itself is only useful for account verifications and whatnot.

What you could do is make a new Master account, buy the game, then give him the login info and necessary info to change stuff to his likings. If his trial account has lapsed, he might not remember the stuff to get past NCSoft's new account verification measures (if that applied to trials). Or does that fall afoul of anything? Not sure so take with a grain of salt.

It would be nice if they could have such a sale on Steam or D2D. It would allow more people around the globe to buy this as well as gift it more easily.

Welp, I have a fairly risk free way of finding out! If I fail, I'll have a new Alt-account for SG inviting. And if I succeed, I'll have a buddy in game a month or two early!

I've been contemplating a secondary account for some time, and this is a perfect opportunity to follow through on that. I think I can construe this as win/win/win because I'll be able to tell YOU all wether or not my mad attempts worked!

Be careful though. If you do it wrong, the second account becomes attached to your master NCSoft account (two accounts that can be accessed with your master account). Meaning that your friend would need your master login infos to change anything.

Send him funds through Paypal?

I found the easiest way to buy the game for a friend is toget a throw way Visa Card. Just give them the card or email them the numbers on the card. Let them use that to pay for the game.

Hi Freitag,

Is there any chance this offer will be repeated prior to the launch of Freedom?

Missed this offer the first time (was over before i spotted it), and a second chance at this would be great.

Cheers.

I think it would be nice to offer this on an external service such as Steam. This will get more exposure, bypass the often non-functioning NC store (whose tight security prevents many people from buying stuff) and also allow gifting.
