Holy crap, the tutorial looks awesome! Look at that giant Shivan boss!

Honestly? Nothing that really blows my mind. It's pretty much just a bit of motion attached to the pictures we've mostly already seen. Minidon was kinda neat, I s'pose.
But it still wasn't as neat as the Steampunk Pack trailer.
I love it! I got a better understanding of the scope of what's coming. It's great and all but it's missing something...*cough*CG*cough*, I just can't put my finger on it.

First Ward looks cool. Are the mobs in black with the runes and guns also Carnival of Light?
Shivan in the Underground Trial? Praetorian Devouring Earth look like Primal which is a shame.
New tutorial looks chaotic.
Not entirely sure I like the visuals of Time Manipulation. Just looks a bit generic to me.
Defence set looks generic, IDF will be useful.
Finally get to see First Ward in video form. That place is looking killer!

Avatar of Hamidon. There are some differences; they're supposed to look more sinister and corrupt than Primal DE, if you can believe it. I can't seem to find the design article on that, though. What's 'generic'? |

And isn't the Defense set composed of IDF pieces? Anyway, love the trailer, but I want those Carnival of Light costume pieces. Also, you think those hooded guys are holding would could be the model for beam weapons?

For Defence set: It'll make a good base for things, kind of like how the Stealth set can. It kind of makes me think of the "Sport" set. I like these kinds of things though.
I need the see the effect of time manipulation before I make a verdict.

Look at the IDF costume sets. No back pieces! Not even chest details that wrap around like the IDF have! I'm serious now. Why do they insist on keeping the backs of our characters so bland? We spend most of our play time looking at the backs of our characters, they should look as good as the front!
Issue 16 made me feel like this.

It was all right, I preferred the issue 20 trailer though, it had a bit more coherence to it than "Look at this, and this, and this, and this." And the Time Manipulation spot told me nothing of the set other than 'Swirly line effects occur!'
Just watched it with the sound off and it was much better.
Some scenes were ambiguous as to whether they were play or cutscene (giant monsters doing various things). If they were play scenes, then it looks great.
They could also follow one scene for more than 1/10 of a second. It would make it coherent.

I'm hoping we'll get the IDF chest detail too, it's one of the pieces I wanted most from that set. The defense set looks like something I might use under other pieces of armor, more for mix and matching than being used on its own.
Other than those quibbles, issue 21 looks awesome, can't wait to play with it.
