A thought occurs: there isn't anything beyond tier nine.
This is the "end" of the Veteran Rewards program?
Sure, they say "new items," but there aren't any further tiers to the table.
There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.

Just curious but do we keep all the rewards we've currently got unlocked OR under this new system do we have to go through and pick everything again...because that's just a pain in the backside if we have to do that.
Badge Earned: Wing Clipper
A real showstopper!

Wow, now maybe we'll stop seeing a "fix the vet rewards" thread in the S&I forum every few weeks.

Further question (that I realize may not be able to be answered), I have a shedload of free respecs accrued on my account. Can I not buy certain vet rewards and still advance to the next tier? The...ah...shrub...currently looks like you have to complete each tier in its entirety before advancing to the next.

You get more actually, and then you will get stuff faster.
66 months vet is 27 tokens. 27 tokens under the actual system makes you a 81 months vet. So if Freedom would go live presently, you would make a big jump in the veteran rewards. And after that, you go up the veteran rewards tree each month, not every 3 months. So you will get to the tier9 sooner than you think. |

By the way, did anyone else hear the new music they used for the video intros?
Like this one uses a revamped Atlas fanfare: http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/16130308 It sounds "fuller" than the current one, and then moves into something totally new with strings. |
Tier 9 items can be redeemed for multiple times.

$15.00 = 1 point... takes 34 to unlock tier 9...
... I could wait 7 months since I get a token a month... |
Positron said that existing Vets will have what they got auto-filled in the program.
Triumph: White Succubus: 50 Ill/Emp/PF Snow Globe: 50 Ice/FF/Ice Strobe: 50 PB Shi Otomi: 50 Ninja/Ninjistu/GW Stalker My other characters
Thanks, as always, for the transcript, Von Krieger!!
While some of this is definitely cool...
I have to say that it feels like they're burying awesome additions even farther away now.
Oh, but you can spend money to get them now... I'm currently not thrilled with this glimpse into the new age of F2Play where they add more stuff that you can additional fees for.
Now, I know this is just Vet Rewards and that you can earn these rewards by being subscribed (So... 7 years later for a new player).
We'll see how the store looks when it comes out. Will there be more than our free points can provide? And will it consistently be more of an expense than our regular sub plus a couple of boosters' worth?
I'm just not thrilled to see fancy costume options being locked behind 7 years of vet status. That's my complaint. Now we can buy our way there... Okay, I guess that's an improvement, but it's not a great first insight to the future, as far as I am concerned.
and round up everyone that knows more than they do"-Dylan
You are forgetting the 400 free Paragon Points/Month. So you seem to get 4 Reward Tokens every 3 months, and 17 Reward Tokens every year (12 months + 1 per year + 4,800 Paragon Points, if used).

Also, while I appreciate the part about refilling my Tier 9 stuff...that's it: there is nothing beyond Tier 9. I'm going to have to start summoning Statesman at parties for the fun of it.

So we now get to summon signature heroes/villains to do our bidding because I paid an extra $105.00 USD to get to T9?

They've said repeatedly that current subscribers will keep access to any content that they've already unlocked. I see no reason why that would apply differently to vet rewards.
I'm pleased that free players get to "earn" the right to use gated game systems just by hanging around and being good citizens. If they don't want to wait that long, they can always speed it up by purchasing access to higher tiers.
As far as the "cost" of buying your way into the higher tiers - Technically speaking, it doesn't cost anything.
The slide says "One [reward token] for every 1200 cumulative points purchased in the store".
The way I read this is that you spend $15 on points, and you are rewarded with a token. The token is a free bonus; a "but wait, there's more!" thing. If you buy 3600 Paragon Points, then you'll receive three tokens but you will STILL have 3600 Paragon Points in your "wallet".
In essence, if you are stupidly wealthy and you spend 36 x $15 = 14,400 Paragon Points ($540) all at once, then you'll have the reward tokens to unlock tier 9 but you'll also still have the 14,400 Paragon Points to spend on goodies in the store. In essence, you're making a non-refundable pre-payment deposit on store goods and being rewarded for it.
Some people will be really thrilled with that idea. At the least, it means that if you're pretty sure you'd spend that much money anyway that you can choose to do it up front and get extra rewards for doing it.
About the maximum 29 tokens in the screenshot, I think they forgot to count the 1 token per year. 29 tokens is indeed 87 months which is the maximum you can have presently. but 87 months vet would also get 7 more tokens for 7 years of sub, for a total of 36 Veteran Tokens.

So 13, per year, as opposed to 4.
So around 2 years, if they don't buy any points.
Also, FPARN!

But we can still buy our way to Tier 9 in one go, with no cooldown on purchasing Paragon Points?
