Harry Potter 7.2

Sooo the movie. It all ends, and I can't believe it! I've grown up with Harry, and I'm excited and sad to see his saga end. When the book came out in 2007, I said well at least there are the movies...but now it's really done.

I'm going to the midnight premiere, and am very excited.

Anyone see it yet?

Rotten Tomatoes approves so far.

Probably see it Friday, since I'm off that day. I remember my introduction into the Potter series. They had the 1st 2 books at my college bookstore. Bought the 1st one, got hooked, and then went back and bought the 2nd one, and then buying 'em for each release.

I believe I'll end up seeing it Saturday. It certainly looks good from the previews, but that doesn't mean much.

Then again, they have been pretty solid so far, so I expect good things. The Battle for Hogwarts, if done well, should be epic.

Too many alts to list.

Can't wait! Going to see 7.1 in the theater again, right before catching the midnight showing of 7.2 \o/

I checked the multiplex I would go to for a midnight showing and they are showing in in every theater. 4 in 3D, 1 in IMAX 3D, 1 as a double feature with Part 1 (starting at 9) and 10 others in 2D. And all but one was sold out last I checked.

None of the other summertime block buster had more than 3 or 4 counting IMAX 3D. Either it's going to have the biggest weekend of all time followed by one of the biggest drops the next or this breaks Avatar's stateside record.

Watched it.

In fact, I watched HP 7.1 and then 7.2 in 3D (just because I wanted the HP 3D glasses) and I quite enjoyed it.

Some parts I wish they left in and didn't see why they didn't, but overall, it was quite well done, and for what was left out, they added some nice things in.

the theater was packed, and the crowd was clapping, cheering, whooing...everything. I didn't hear one negative complaint about it from anyone in the theater, everyone seemed to be coming out of it, quite enjoyed talking with strangers about it.

I saw it at the midnite showing. I rather enjoyed it, and I'm not that much of a HP fan. Here's my early review: ****SPOILER ALERT****

Magic.

(I really wouldn't ruin it for people. That would be so wrong!)

I think i'll wait a week or three before seeing it. Let the crowds drop to low numbers before heading out to see it.

That was pretty much my experience, too. I went to the four-day "they show all the movies" event my theatres did, just because they're right across the street, it was relatively cheap as movies around here go, and I hadn't seen parts 5-7. Last night was the two parts of seven. It was the busiest I'd ever seen my movie theatres, even though it was the middle of the night, as well as the most enthusiastic audience I'd seen in a long time. It was mostly teenagers, and I found it strange to think that particularly the younger ones can't even remember before Harry Potter.

The movie itself was quite entertaining, particularly in comparison with the first half of Deathly Hallows, which suffered from an hour-long hole where nothing happened worthy of Antonioni.

Really loved it! I want to see it again.

I was really satisfied with the ending, and this is coming from someone who only sort of liked the ending to the books.

I'm really glad the series went out with a bang.

Go see it!

Voldemort stole the show multiple times for me.

Come give your uncle Voldy a hug, Draco.

Well, after finding out Voldermort was actually his father, can you blame him?

My friend has a theory that Voldemort is the way he is due to so much pent up sexual tension. So maybe Harry wanted to release it for him to weaken him in the coming battle?

Never read the books, but really? JK Rowling ripped off Star Wars?

Saw it and enjoyed it. A well done finale for the series as is. They took out a kit of exposition and some sequences I would have left in, such as dumbledores explantion of why Harry instead of nevelle was the chosen one and so forth.

On the whole a satisfying ending.

So you mean you'll put down your rock, and I'll put down my sword; and we'll try and kill each other like civilized people?

Pretty good overall. My gripe, ***Spoilers***

is the deaths. In the books you were there for each of them and the characters had their moment to shine where as here they're just corpses on gurneys.

While Part 1 sort of dragged in parts, Part 2 felt way to quick IMO.

And the giggle of girls sitting in front of me felt the movie catered to the boys because of the front and center Hermione cleavage shot but didn't have a naked Harry, if only for a moment, during the afterlife scene.

Oh and who else thought the HP inspired 3D glasses were a cute touch?

Saw it, loved it. And if there's a God, Alan Rickman should take home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor.

I loved the glasses! Glad I decided to go to the 7.1 viewing just to get them. Had no idea what they were going to be...I figured normal glasses with Harry Potter written on them...and was glad I went to both showings for them.

I dont require them really getting into Fred's death (or was it George...I forgot) in the books to much, other than his family mourning him and they saying who did it.
