What is your favourite "Flashy" powerset combo?

Hopefully I worded that title right.

Basically, I'd like to know what your personal favourite choice of powersets (or even just singular powers) is in terms of what you think looks the most impressive visually. What do you think looks the most impressive, the "Flashiest"? Performance doesn't have to matter - it's all about how it awesome it looks!

As for myself, I don't have the greatest experience with the ranged ATs, but the few I have had have always felt more impressive to me than the melee characters. My favourite character just to watch was my Fire/Energy Blaster, (both coloured green) simply for all the beams and explosions of colour everywhere throughout the fights once I got to the mid-levels.

It's sometimes been recommended to me that I play something like an FF/Energy Defender, since I love explosions, and sending things flying so much!

How about you?

so far, I have 2 I enjoy for their flashiness:

Martial Arts scrapper with Ninja Run. When you figure out how to jump low and smooth, fighting becomes a dance form. No more stagnant fighting positions. Dive over that cluster of villains and sweep them from behind in one fluid motion!

Just for raw power "Flashy" I'll go for my Illusion/Storm controller. Stand at a choke point and whip out the awesome lightning storm, freezing rain, group flash, fear abilities, and a small army of phantoms and decoys. Add in the ion Judgement chain lightning attack, and you are looking like a very serious threat.

I don't have many sets that I find look cool, but there are a few choice powers that are really cool looking.

From a purely visual viewpoint, I would say peacebringers look pretty awesome. It stinks that they don't perform all that well. Their nuke looks very flashy imo.

Carrion Creepers also looks good, as it's like summoning a jungle in a single move.

Lightning Rod and Power Surge also rank pretty high up there.

Blazing Bolt is by far my favorite snipe power, as the beam is really cool.

And radiation emission in general is pretty cool looking, especially fallout and EMP.

Plant Control, with the Carrion Creepers flailing everywhere, is a pretty visually awesome set. Pair it with Storm Summoning and you've got a chaotic, loud, flashy powerhouse.

I love the effects of Invulnerability. Very pretty. I also like Static Shield from Elec Armor for some reason.

But yeah... actually, Storm is probably the flashiest set I can think of other than playing a PB. Warshades very freakin' cool too.

DP also has crazy, flashy animations. Full Auto from AR is also one of my favorite powers in the game.

Wild Streak - Lv. 50(+3) Beast Mastery/Sonic Resonance Mastermind, Amnesty - Lv. 50 Staff Fighting/Dark Armor Stalker

Carrion creepers, Lightning Rod and, uh, Psychic Wail (bonus points if Psychic Scream is used before/after).

Oh, and I almost forgot. The one and only power that makes me love my Night Widow so much: Slash. It looks cool. It deals tremendous damage. There's nothing more I could want from it... okay maybe less recharge time.

Illusion/Storm/Ice controller. Just insane amounts of crazy stuff going on when you pop out all your pets and pseudopets.

just the one power - "Propel" from Gravity control

I always love the opening combo I sometimes pull off on my Sonic/En/En Blaster.

Boost Range > Repulsion Bomb = spawn hits the floor...

Screech takes out the mezzer or buffer...

Build Up > Shout > Run in & Total Focus on the boss > Bone Smasher > Power Thrust...

Mop up spawn at leisure.

It feels powerful and being able to stun foes and knock them about is great fun especially the Bone Smasher/Power Thrust combo. It's like saying "Take that, now get out of my face!"

Earth/Storm Controller. Huge piles of stone, earth-shaking rumbles and booms, clouds hurling lightning, tornadoes.

But if you want knockback, go Illusion/Storm.

Fire/fire/fire dominator. EVRYTHING IS ON FIRE! Show me another set that has a giant fire aura, can enshroud huge groups in walls of fire, rain fire, set giant bonfires, lob fireballs, breath fire, set flashfires...you get the idea. AT full tilt, it's tougher to find stuff that's not burning.

Fire/rad controller.

Illusion/empath controller, everything blood red.

Peacbringers.

That is the absolute worst and most useless power for a tri-form warshade, and yet my MFing Warshade still picked it because it's that MFing gorgeous.

Haha, I totally agree. It serves its' purpose when I'm standing around waiting for a trial to start.

I use it during Rikti Invasions to do damage to enemies I can't see.

My Fire/Fire Blaster is quite flashy, especially since all of her attacks are brightly colored (and different colors for each attack). Rad/Fire Blasters can also put out so much shiny that you'll want to turn down your monitor's brightness. But I have to agree with Plant/Storm as the overall winner. The sheer amount of visual (and actual) chaos you can create with vines lashing around everywhere while tornadoes and thunderclouds smash things while freezing rain and snow are blowing around in hurricane winds... you just have to see it to believe it.

I definitely agree with this one. Earth/Storm is full of loud booms, screen shaking, lightning flashes, thunder claps, etc. Very visually appealing.

Bots/TA Mastermind--it's basically artillery. Disruption Arrow for a target designator, and then a horde of flaming missiles comes flying in. Cleanup to follow via a disco lightshow.

Fix'd.

And that was glorious wording, by the way.

Flashy? I would suggest:

1. Fire/Trap Corruptor. Man, nothing is more "graphically intense" than big green clouds and colorful fiery rain.

2. Sonic Resonance and Force Field. They are flashy alright.. more like annoying if you choose very bright color.

3. Earth/Storm: Earth is not only flashy, it also produces a lot of noise! Storm? You have Hurrican that blocks people's view and cool Lightning Cloud. :P

4. Plant's Creeper is also very flashy.

What's left is to normalize all Assassin Strikes and improve Stalker's old sets (Claw, MA and EM)! You don't need to bring back the missing PbAoE attack. You just need to make the existing ones better! For example, make Slice a WIDER and LONGER cone.

I really like flashy and as such I don't have a single willpower main yet However, some of my selections were just sooooo right that I geek out sometimes when I play them (in order):

1) arch/fire/mace blaster = standing in a flaming battlefield I slowly point my bow up into the sky to rain a devastating amount of firepower on the squirming enemies that surround me. Right now, the pure style of this sentiment just gets me Just like my old kat/dark and bs/electric scrappers still pull me into the game with their big attacks... arch/fire is just bigger and more WOW!

2) rad/mm/mace blaster = this hovering bubble of doom flies straight to the middle of enemy groups to unleash all sorts of colorful beams/explosions. Bright colors FTW!

3) plant/fire/fire dom = plant it, nurture it, kill with it, burn it down, start over Write a nifty Daft Punk song while you're at it

4) earth/storm/fire troller = people have actually complained about being blinded by all the crazy fun this combo brings.

5) electric melee/shield defense = BOOM! Here comes the BOOM! I only have a couple different elects/ and /shields, but not this combo. However, lightning rod and shield charge together make you a rolling weapon of mass destruction. Who's not going to notice that? You may actually end up being a little annoying, especially to those using toggle debuffs :P

So I don't just go into my favorite combos, I'll just list some big "flashy" sets I've played:
energy blast
dual blades
dark/storm
crab spider
spines
dual pistols
illusion
warshade
peacebringer
traps
fire blast
masterminds
gravity

Probably my favourite character is my Crab Spider, and a large part of that is the aesthetic - when I first hit 24 (which was early on enough that I hadn't seen anyone else's in action), way before I'd IO'd him out to be the tankmage he is now, my reaction would best be described as "glee", purely on how he looked in combat.

I just love having this hulking power-armoured juggernaut of destruction* unloading volleys of AoE death on a spawn before charging in to carve up any survivors with those highly satisfying slashy stabby crab arms. Add to that the spiderbot army, the flashy-if-mediocre Omega Maneuver, and hell even the animation for Serum, and it all just looks so damn cool to me.

*I picked the Huge model, and pushed most of the sliders to or near maximum - I pay for it in confined spaces like cave maps, but it's totally worth it.

Others that I like the visuals of are:
Dual Pistols - a bit over the top and silly, but that's a plus point when looking for "flashy".

Fire Blast/Melee - Especially with the extra particle stuff added since launch, these powers just feel satisfyingly burny and destructive. Very quickly into the fight it's like everyone and everything in the area is on fire.

Energy Blast - bright explosions, bodies sent flying, can't ask for much more (Nova especially).

Radiation Blast - the nuke is an actual nuke! The other powers look pretty flashy too - X-Ray, Proton Volley, Neutron Bomb, Irradiate.

Robotics - can't beat a robot army, and the Assault Bot is suitably intimidating.

There's a bunch of other individual powers that I enjoy (Dart Burst, Crane Kick, Solar Flare, Static Discharge, etc etc), but the above are probably the sets I'd use if I were showing someone the game.

My main: FF/energy. Very visible effects, and I have all the energy blasts colored differently so my attack chain looks pretty

Huh... I just clicked on this to see what powersets were mentioned, out of curiosity...

And, I have to say... I feel compelled to say that Electric/Electric/Electric Blaster feels pretty flashy to me.
I mean, I know I love it for a ton of reasons, but with all the electricity I toss around in my Blasts, Lightning Field, Charged Armor, melee attacks, cages, shocking grasps and bolts and drains...
I can hang in one spot and send bright flashy lightning in each and every direction as foes drop all around.

I don't know if it is the flashiest, but it is flashy! (Plus I love being a Blaptroller!)

Warshade is certainly another choice that came to mind.
