I was there(tm).
Mood Bubbles, my main on Freedom, took part in vanquishing many many Praetorians. Their defeats were slow, and agonizingly painful.
Much like the game is when 4000 people are on at the same time. 
It was fun to figure how when things were gonna fire off. And I only crashed once! Yay and such.
I'm glad we beat the heck outta the servers. Mad props to everyone who was there, the devs, and the poor server guys who hadda keep things running, I'm sure.

I don't know what you people's problem was. I didn't experience any lag at all. Did you turn your settings down? Have you considered that maybe it was your computer?*
*Please note: This is an inside joke from another thread. Yes, I experienced major lag tonight just like everyone else. I think the point of the test was not to have zero lag, but to see how the server performed under extreme load and probably to collect performance metrics as a high-end baseline for future performance tuning reference.
We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.

I admit, I kinda cheated. I had to be at work while the invasion was going on, so I just logged in and picked up a random AE arc to stay logged in. But I contributed to the 4000ish! (Twice, since I did it for both my accounts.)
Alternately - I didn't even have to do anything, just stand and glare at Cole's invasion forces, and they decided they'd better withdraw.
Tech support IRL, CLR/DRU/MED/WHM/PRI/DEF. Hmm, I sense a pattern...

I fought the Praetorians in Cap au Diable tonight. It was very fun and the lag was not as bad as a regular Rikti invasion on the Virtue server.

I went to the Shadow Shard and experienced no lag as I completed the intro story arc and got my Mole Point access. I briefly thought about farming for Kora Fruit, but decided to pass on it since my bare bones Base in Freedom doesn't have any storage bins yet. I went back to Infinity and joined a WTF villain respec team there.
Teams are the number one killer of soloists.

Did not have too much lag.... wait wrong story.
I had created my little namesake on Freedom and only had 2 levels. So yes I was standing in Atlas park and waiting for trouble to arrive.
The unionites gathered into a nice little league (I wonder how many instances of Atlas park it became in the end).
Having 3-5 powers (vet powers as well) was well not that fun with the power lag that issued.
BUT what was great was War Witch and Emperor Marcus Cole's speeches. I really wish they would have given those speeches on every Surge.
I did not have much movement lag, i can only imagine what kind of lag I would have had, if I'd been in a higher level zone. With more costume parts, more auras and more power animations etc.
I wish I'd have been able to join you in Pocket D afterwards, but 4am (my time) is a tad late for me
Did get the badge and I think I was amongst the first that shouted "Badge" in broadcast.
They manually awarded the badge...

Thanks everyone who showed up and lagged, as I totally forgot to set one of my characters up in an Ouroboros arc before I went to work.
And devs, I hope you take the word "lag" in every other post in this thread as a hint: just because you can push the servers to these limits, doesn't mean you should.

I was one of the people in P.I. 2 during the invasion (Inferna Inanis), and I have to say, what lag I had was to be expected. I, additionally, turned all my gfx down to the absolute minimum. Only problem with that was I couldn't see the war walkers 2 feet away from the one I targeted.
Also, Anti-Matter, sorry for chasing you around. I didn't exactly realize you weren't an AI, until I saw Neuron and Dominatrix.

I was one of those people in Atlas1 from 9pmBST until just gone midnight with a few other Union players and i had a blast!
Sometimes its fun just to get together and chat!
@Damz Find me on the global channel Union Chat. One of the best "chat channels" ingame!
I was there with the 20 or so Unionites League dancing at City Hall, but my poor old abacus could only take 40 mins of surge before shutting down in a sulk. still was good fun...got a few blasts in at Bobcat, Battle Maiden and Black Swan ( the 'B' villains obviously). Lag wise, powers were frustratingly slow but framerate remained high and was able to hover around quite freely.

A Tutorial Glitch, dumped me into a full Atlas Park 1 rather than a less busy one, was ok for me as a semi vet, but this will need fixing for new players.
Lag, based on my normal game settings:
Movement: Reasonable
Powers: Intermittent
Collision Detection: Intermittent
Blueside Tram/Train: 2 Minute delay to board the train (From a FULL Atlas Park 1)
I'm using an old P4 XP PC with 3GB Ram and Sapphire 4650 HD AGP 1GB graphics card.
And yes my normal game settings are Maximum Detail and High Ultramode.
(Wanted a load lag comparison to normal under the same settings )

I logged into the lag fest from my hotel room. was able to switch to all 3 accounts and badge them all up.. woot.. my friends were like "you did what for a badge" good stuff

Gamma Force from Defiant were there in force almost 2 full teams. We were in Steel and the lag was interesting
I only had a level 5 (started the night as a lvl2 but we did some missions before the event) unslotted now that was "fun"
I gave up at 12:40am BST. But I'm glad I was there.
