Are Judgement Powers epic looking enough?
I think they're fine. Try zooming out some to see void.
Cryonic is a bit meh, but I love the visuals on Void.
"Hmm, I guess I'm not as omniscient as I thought" -Gavin Runeblade.
I can be found, outside of paragon city here.
Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.
They should add some dramatic music right when you click the power that reaches the peak of tension after things fall over dead

for some reason I was expecting Cryonic to use the same kind of function as Throw Spines...
I think what you are suggesting would cause a bit too much lag, especially if you have multiple people on the team doing it. I have to say though, cryo really needs some better animation. Not even half as cool as pyro or ion.

Pyronic is awesome but same animation of fireball is meh.
Ionic is my favourite animation.
Cryonic is cool but powers like Water spout are more visually impressive.

i think ionic is fine
void i think would look more epic if your character did the ground punch animation or a similar animation to statesmans zeus lightning bolt (just the animation his character does not the rest of the graphics)
pryonic is really good, but using the same animation as fire ball or blaze is not very tasteful, just rehashing very boring animations
cryonic is alright, its prolly the least epic of the other ones, honestly i think it would make a world of difference if it was changed to use a "throw spines" animation

I think all of them look very nice except for Cryonic. I love the crystals that form on your arms, but the cone is just sort of hard to see.
Blue
American Steele: 50 BS/Inv
Nightfall: 50 DDD
Sable Slayer: 50 DM/Rgn
Fortune's Shadow: 50 Dark/Psi
WinterStrike: 47 Ice/Dev
Quantum Well: 43 Inv/EM
Twilit Destiny: 43 MA/DA
Red
Shadowslip: 50 DDC
Final Rest: 50 MA/Rgn
Abyssal Frost: 50 Ice/Dark
Golden Ember: 50 SM/FA
Void looks like I took an epic fart. Does that count?

That blue thing running around saying "Cookies are sometimes food" is Praetorian Cookie Monster!
Shoot on sight, please.
I think it's funny that Pyronic gets picked on for recycling animations when none of them actually have a new one.
Ionic is the beach ball of doom (Neutron Bomb, Bonfire, Repulsion Bomb), Void is the typical Nuke (Nova, Blackstar, Quasar etc) and Cryonic is just Fossilize/Strangler.
I suppose Pyronic is the only one that reuses a common animation from it's thematically matching sets though. (Void also does, but how often do you use Blackstar compared to Fireball/blaze?)
Ultimately I think they're fine, except Cryonic which seems to be universally viewed as Underwhelming.

Cryonic is actually my favorite visually. Once you get to tier 4 it's really a great power.

Perhaps something like this
Pyronic is awesome, the lightning one could use a little more flash though. It's over so fast you barely see it.
Heroes : Angrem (50 Stone tank), Exo Inferis (50 Fire blaster), Exo Proteus (50 ill/emp), IceVengance (50 cold defender)
Villains : AtomBomb (50 Rad/Kin corruptor), Aleks (50 SS/Inv brute), StoneLethal (50 EM/Stone brute), Davroz (50 Bots/Dark mastermind)
Pyronic actually DOES do something new. The VFX is textured so as to help it look more like real fire. I can't recall if the colorable versions are also textured (we were told this during the I20 pre-beta, so it's been a while), but I know for a fact the default version is.
Furthermore, ALL the Judgement powers use unique VFX. For a while in beta they were all using placeholder effects and the difference is night and day.
Positron: "There are no bugs [in City of Heroes], just varying degrees of features."
You know what would be epic? If they put "JUDGED!" big orange text over the heads of every critter you hit with Judgement.

Main Character: Ice/Storm/Ice Controller (Justice, 1340 badges)
I don't think so, their dmg with any musc enhancement is perfect imo but their animations aren't doing it for me.
I'm a void user so my suggestions are strictly about power from the Void. I'd love to see animations play where my toon exerts no visible effort other than getting into cool/swaggerly/arrogant pose:
-Negative energy spills out of the ground around him, first in multiple thin beams that eventually becomes 1 huge beam erupting from the floor.
-I'd also like like an opposite option huge 2d portal opens up in the sky that looks like a creepy eye that blasts a huge beam of negative energy (the toon might look up at the sky before being basked in negative energy.)
-Several portals opening up all around the toon shooting out tentacles would be awesome
Nothing about the power or animation time changes this is just a aesthetic tastes thing
I remember reading a criticism about pyronic using the same animation as fireball so i know others have ideas too please share them
