Hi, everyone.

I've entered myself in a cosplay contest hoping to win a chance to attend GenCon2011. If anyone has a few moments to spare and would be kind enough to drop me a vote, I would really, really appreciate it!

The character in the pictures is Star Sapphire from the Green Lantern Comics, aka Carol Ferris and yes, that is really me in all that pink.

You can vote once a day every day until June 3rd and I am begging for help. So pretty, pretty please.

Thank you in advance.

I hope for your sake there's no "jumping jacks" requirement.
Looks really good regardless. Good luck to you.

Voted... Where were you gamer girls at before I got married 15 years ago???? I love my wife tremendously but she is NOT a gamer...

There were gamer girls 15 years ago, but I don't remember them looking like this!

I forgot to vote yesterday, but I threw you another one today.

Ironik: its spandex held on with Spirit Gum, although when I wore it at San Diego Comic Con I sweated through the Spirit Gum and had to haul *** back to the hotel room before it fell off me!

In hindsight, perhaps I should have made it out of pink duct tape hehehe.

CaptainFoamerang: I actually have White Lantern Wonder Woman on my costume to do list, as well as a couple haute couture versions put out by Tonner Dolls.

Powerstream: I, personally, was in Australia, and 12.... LOL

Thank you, everyone, for the votes. I really appreciate it!

You can vote once every 24 hours too, so feel free to double and triple vote

Gee thanks for making me feel old AND creepy at the same time.

Voted Again...

Voted twice. The costume looks great.

Also, that Biff guy leaving all the comments is creepy.

I voted, nicely done costume.

Thank you, everyone!! Appreciate it muchly.

Yes, Biff is a little.... over enthusiastic.... I've met him around the convention circuit so I know he is harmless but he is the quintessential stereotypical socially inept nerd who doesn't understand that sometimes how he phrases things isn't exactly the done thing.

Being that way myself I'm a lot more tolerant of that type of a personality than some of my fellow female cosplayers. I was bullied growing up and for many years my best friends were comic books to so I get it.

A lot of the female cosplayers got into it just for the attention, or their boyfriends put them up to it so if a guy says 1 thing wrong they get all "Oh mi gawd, pervert!!" and freak out without ever considering that perhaps he didn't mean it that way.

I always mean it "that way"....What?

Voted.

according to images of the character, the neck piece should be bigger and the star should be smaller, closer to the naval and have a set of 4 holes around it to give the look of a circle. Also the boots should have a point rather than flat...

It seems that you should figure a way to make th spandex more shiny and the boots tighter...

other than that... i see no problems. I'd be happy to keep lookin though

I have a sneaking suspicion that the only way that outfit would be any "tighter" and more comic-accurate would be if she'd used shiny latex body paint instead of fabric... and what she's wearing in the photo is already risky enough for walking around at a con, wouldn't you say? (Unless she wanted to go Silver Age instead of the modern design.)

Seriously, awesome work pulling this one off! Voted multiple times already.

Not the whole thing. The main costume needs to be shinier imo.

The boots are wrinkly and to me it doesn't look good. If you made the boots from the same material as the rest of the costume it would look so much better, especially when you factor in that the way it is now the body spandex and the boots don't look like they are from the same costume.

edit: also the leg holes in the pictures of star sapphire are at a more acute angle, and higher on the hips, but without direct reference I don't think anyone would ever pick up on that ^.^

I've been voting as often as I can as well. Looks like you moved up a spot. Problem, and I'm sad to say it, most of the ones in front of you are either bustier or showing more skin (or are wearing a corset surrounded by games). You'll still get our votes but not sure from how many others.

Hang in there, lots of days left to vote.

It happens. If I win, I'd rather it be for the strength of my cosplaying skills, not the size of my boobs.

You just said, "I'd rather win based on how I look rather than how I look."

But joking aside, costume wise and look wise I'd say your the best looking of the other people i saw.

Some of those costumes... a neon colored wig is a "costume"? Seriously?

And at least one girl's costume was someone else's hands, strategically placed.
