Forum issues and resolutions

Hi all,

Some of you have been going through problematic times on the forums and we wanted to let you know that we have been fixing and are continuing to fix many of those issues in the background.

Tomorrow morning, our engineers will implement a further change on the back end and we hope that this will resolve the bulk of the issues encountered on our official City of Heroes forums.

We appreciate that quite a few of you have been putting up with those problems in the bravest of ways and we wanted to thank you all for your patience!

Considering that it took me nearly an hour to open this thread and post to it, I sure hope the fix works.

To reiterate what Avatea said, we've been in regular communication with the Web Dev team trying to sort out the issues affecting the forums. We consider these operational affecting problems and as such are giving them the proper amount of consideration.

Thanks to everyone for being patient with issues such as the slow load times and random log outs. As these forums are a part of our day to day work, we understand that these particular problems can be very frustrating.

I reckon it was a Nemesis plot to swap the forum engine oil for treacle

I know how hard you guys have been working to fix this and it is vastly improved compared to how it has been for me at least - much appreciated.

Actually, things sped up and were almost back to normal starting last night, not this morning.

And today, I've had no unusual slow downs at all.

So far at least today I've had no problems.

Good to hear! We're already hearing a few people getting a better connection to our forums, hopefully this'll be it!

log in from UK is back to normal, at least for me.

I always had near instant access, and that is what I have now got again following the latest fix.

Yes, I had been having problems with forums for awhile and now it's working really well for me, back to before the problems started!

I'll chime in with I have not had any problems accessing the site or forums like others have been having lately.

However, I'm posting here because I was just logged out of the forum for no reason switching between two sections. So if one of the changes made were in hopes of getting that annoyance rid of, it didn't work

I was one of the ones having problems, and it seems to be working now.

Wow. I can actually read the forums for the first time in a week(?), two weeks(?), a year(???).

I dunno, but it's good to be back!

I'd had a few slow loading times for the pages, but that seems to be fixed now.

so far everything loading again for me on forums.

The "lack of the forums (and main site) sending me data" problem does indeed seem completely fixed over the last day or so. (I didn't find this thread until after things had been much better for probably 36 hours.)
