Not in the trailer for some reason, but he's in the show.

Interesting take on the overall mythos. More standard Fantasy w/some mecha/steampunk type stuff thrown in.

It'll be worth watching the pilot and a couple eps at least.

Thank you for the time...

If I were a betting man, I'd bet that the trailer only shows things from the first episode or two and that Panthro would come in later so they don't crowd the intro with everything at once.

Did they have to include Snarf?

Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll turn out to be one of those plucky sidekicks who dies to provide tragic motivation for the hero.

Creator statements were that Snarf will be more of just a pet (who says "snarf" in the way a cat says "meow") and won't be the annoying, talking fuzzball of the original.

King dude: "I only ask that you fight like cats!"

I like how Lion-O doesn't look like a demented Ronald McDonald Cat, but couldn't they have made his hair a bit more.. mane like?

Also, while I have nothing against it.. Why do all these new cartoons have to have a pseudo-anime look? I guess it's just what's in style.

To quote some random youtube dude on a TMNT video "I kinda miss the days when the only sharp edges were on Shredder's armor"

The rest of the world doesn't have the "******* anime in ******* every ******* thing keep animation ******* AMERICAN" thing going on? The anime art style is simple, effective, cheap *important*, and popular. A good combination if you want your show to have a chance internationally.

The irony of the youtube comment quoted being, of course, that TMNT was originally animated in Japan.

Lion-O is still young, so I guess he wouldn't have more of a mane-like hair till he's older.

The animation style, well the times have been changing for a while since DBZ and Sailor Moon were of extreme help to bring anime into the mainstream in the USA. For their time periods...Disney and Warner Bros. style animation were prevalent and easily identifiable, then countless other cartoons in the 80's that were pretty much all done by a single company. These days, a lot of companies are adopting the anime style, because it's known for not following the normal traits of animation, though anime can be just as high budget as anything Disney/WB/Pixar/etc throws out, but on a less consistent basis, since money of course is a factor, most movies and some series being an exception.

No I didn't. Art tastes are too subjective to put in any kind of list. For every person who believes Pokemon is an abomination unto god (*raises hand*) there is someone diligently copying every jagged angle of Pikachu for fan art. That's life.
