I agree - these trials are a huge leap in the right direction with rewards for effort. Astral Merits for completing portions of the trial, bonus rewards for badges and helping others get badges within the trials, incarnate xp and threads so you're always progressing even when the trial fails... all great stuff.
Contrast with the Cathedral of Pain, where all the rewards are at the end of the trial and if you fail, you get nothing, good day sir!

Yep, it's a good way to do rewards. Even if you fail the overall task you still get something. I agree it's something they should consider for other parts of the game.

Edit: Although on second thought, it would be nice to get some kind of reward like Astral Merits for, say, wiping out each mito bloom.

Some of us aren't so interested in OMG power, but if it can be made to make things easier/faster or more interesting for lower level characters? That'd be great
As someone from a server that has been succeeding at multiple Hamidon raids a week for years with no need for organization beyond a core of knowledgeable sub-team leaders and an announcer, I would not like to see Hamidon explicitly become a trial. Right now, for servers like Justice, Hamidon can actually be a casual experience, where you show up and participate, and if you know who to follow, you don't even need to be on a team. I'm not terribly interested in that being shoehorned into something with explicit league leadership. If it works, don't fix it.
If the turnstyle system could help people who disconnect keep their spot in a raid, I'd be all for that. Right now, it's not clear to me that this even works this way in the Incarnate Trials, but that's because they are currently somewhat unstable.

I'll add my 2 inf. in and say "thanks" too I like the Astral merits and, I too, will be hoarding them in case something awesome I want comes out
And yes, I'd like the CoP and Hamidon as well as the Rikti MSR added to the turnstile system if possible.
I think CoP should definitely have Astral merits rewarded like the current iTrials do but...Hamidon? Mmm...not sold on that...it'd be nice but then it might get "farmed" too much....*shrugs* who knows.
