Implacation of corss server play.

It's meant that it can be used in the future for other things like TFs and CoPs and Raids *in the same server*.
Of course, that doesn't mean cross server something won't be implemented sometime.... soon.

Don't read too much into that.

I forget the exact answer they gave, but they didn't dismiss the idea or suggest they've given up on it altogether.
So I'm sure they'll just bang it out in no time like they did fixing the CoP and Positron.
.
It can be interpreted however you like, but the mere fact that those four words are there at all speaks volumes.
Read it again, but without the "on the same server."; you find that it still makes sense. There is no reason to include that part of the sentence, unless to imply that this too is in flux.
I should point out that this is NOT a confirmation, nor is it guaranteed. Paragon Studios learned a long time ago the wisdom in withholding announcements until features are concrete, just as they learned to avoid saying "we would like to do X". What we have here is even more insignificant than either of the above.
The conclusion? This is something that Paragon are open to. It may be in development, it may be in research, it may be turn out to be unfeasible. But make no mistake, it was not placed there by accident.
As a side note, over-analysis of this sort is the very reason Paragon are cagey about what they say.
Necrobond - 50 BS/Inv Scrapper made in I1
Rickar - 50 Bots/FF Mastermind
Anti-Muon - 42 Warshade
Ivory Sicarius - 45 Crab Spider
Aber ja, natrlich Hans nass ist, er steht unter einem Wasserfall.

If I say "My sports car can do 180 Mph on the freeway," it doesn't mean that, in the future, it may do so as well on the water or that flight in that car is a possibility being considered.
Yes, there is reason to put it in if they're not planning on actually putting in cross server play. Namely, to stop questions ahead of time about cross server play.

The great thing about the Team Up Teleporter (just kinda rolls off the tongue) is the potential it has for additional implementation opportunities. As was previously mentioned, we're definitely not ruling anything out and will always be looking for ways to use the T.U.T. to improve your gameplay experience.

Sitting in Atlas Park and want an ITF? Queue into it with people from your friends list, allow or disallow PuGers to fill open spots, launch when ready and it teleports everyone next to Imperious, neat and tidy.
Looking for Mothership raid? Queue in and when it reaches critical mass, it teleports everyone to Point du Hoc, nice as you please.
Heck, even allow people to set their own events. Lowbie sewer runs. Giant monster patrol. 2XP Weekend gravy trains. There's lots of possibilities with the TuT.
.
It would be great for it to eventually support the major TFs in the game |
I'd love to, say, start a mission and pick 'Start Team with Team-Up Teleporter' and have it automatically drop new members in who're looking for a team, any team.
Devs,
If you choose to not have this available from the menus, the existing information kiosks would be a GREAT place to drop this functionality.
So you're saying corss server teaming isn't as rough as we think?
Craft your inventions in AE!!
Play "Crafter's Cafe" - Arc #487283. A 1 mission, NON-COMBAT AE arc with workable invention tables!
It'd be great if you could use it for any group.

until you get 6 blasters a level 4 scrapper and FF controller with no shields

I don't play on cross servers, only happy ones.
Where to find me after the end:
The Secret World - Arcadia - Shinzo
Rift - Faeblight - Bloodspeaker
LotRO - Gladden - Aranelion
STO - Holodeck - @Captain_Thiraas
Obviously, I don't care about NCSoft's forum rules, now.

I actually totally misread into that the first day I saw it talked about.. couple months ago? Seems like it. I was even posting how excited I was for cross server teaming! But I was called out on it and reread it and was like oh.. yeah. They didn't REALLY say that. But I think it's likely to happen at some point due to that wording.

So soon we will be using TUTPUG to explain the above team.

That sounds about right. What else do you need?
Loose --> not tight.
Lose --> Did not win, misplace, cannot find, subtract.
One extra 'o' makes a big difference.
