Your mode of transport
Hmm. Most of mine, if they're nto using travel powers, would be perfectly fine in a car (or minivan) or just using the tram. Only have one with a specific mode of transport - my Fire/Kin Corr with her "baby."
Oh how I wish the devs would expand on the travel powers.
Crimson Suzerain, Scarlett Quarrel: Hoverbike/Motorbike
Vedanthi/Urdth/Tskalt, Operative Tzaki: Arachnos Shuttle
Serva Obscura: Hi-tech micro-tank
Carousel Trance: Clockwork Pony
Obfuscera, Obfuscera Inferna: White and Gold Lamborghini
Platinum Skull, Zombie Adjunct: Undead Palanquin
Union Knight, Near Umbra, Penumbris, Volo Aduro, Ultra Lucis: Normal Travel Powers
But I'd like to be able to customise the temp transport powers as well.
E.G. any of the zone teleport powers (Base, BM/WW, mission) could have a shuttle sweep in with it hatch open then fly off (Tech exists to detect if a chartacter is "out in the open" from the Rikti invasion)
Mmmmm, customised travel powers.
I wanted a Unicorn Travel Power. Ooooh...Or a Pegacorn!
For Nylonus - (fire/fire/fire blaster) it would be a motorcycle. I ride one in real life, they are fun and everyone looks better in leather.
Although he does have to turn off fire aura before getting on his ride. Fire aura + a gas tank at the crotch =
Hyperstrike [ss/inv]: He's a little too...um...big to actually drive anything (Being 8' tall, 5 feet wide, and 2 feet deep has some drawbacks in a world where the average height is around 6 feet). The hands the size of hub caps with fingers as big around as a closet rod of tends put the kibosh on fine manipulation as well. He abuses the SG teleporters for long trips, uses superjumps for local transit, and hover for finer vertical movement (though he steers like a pregnant whale).
Vortex Core [fire/rad]: Spent BIG BUCKS on that Paragon Transit unlimited pass. Tends to run everywhere, and occasionally makes use of the SG teleporters (but she's leery about "getting her atoms scattered"). So she tends to hoof it. Though her compatriots (and her mother) accuse her of watching WAY too much anime and think that her posture is positively atrocious.
Eclipse Phase [pb]: Tends to fly everywhere (and has a cloaking device built into his suit). Gets his kicks from popping out of nowhere as he transforms into dwarf form and scare the living bejesus out of bad guys (and anyone else in the area). He's your typical mean and ornery old coot (though if you call him that he'll tell you to get off his lawn and rip your face off for being there in the first place).
Montgomery Burns [Mercs/Dark]: He doesn't really go anywhere. He has his minions go for him.
Their travel powers. Unless they had to travel cross-continent or something, in which case most of them would either use suggested but not usually implemented magical or technological means of translocation, like magic gates or spacial portals. Most of their backstories means they have the means to achieve things like this, at least by the time they're in the level 30+ range.
Only one of my characters has a secret identity. He would either own a car or use Paragon's public transport. He's also a honest to goodness PPD, and so probably has access to a department car. In hero gear, though, he would use his powered armor to get around, again via travel power.
Another one of my characters is an extremely wealthy inventor and socialite, a-la Tony Stark. He doubtless owns a fine stable of cars and motorcycles. He wouldn't normally ride into battle on one, though. He has inventions for that stuff - rocket boots, anti-grav belts, stuff like that. If he needs to get somewhere distant, he probably owns a jet.
All the rest of my characters live in what I'll call "hero life", where super science and metaphysics are basically a part of everyday interactions. They don't really have "civilian" existences (for both better and worse), and tend not to have the usual trappings of ordinary life. If they really need a car or something like that, they can probably get one on loan from authorities (if heroes) or just walk up and ... appropriate it (if villains).

Hanging from a big missile/rocket that flies off and explodes when no longer required.
Branching Paragon Police Department Epic Archetype, please!
Actually this.
I've always imagined them being dropped off at emergencies by personnel from one the the different organizations they supposedly become members of during play (Vanguard, Midnighters, Freedom Corps, tc.), either on a helicopter or a transport truck.
Available here and also here. Turns out Rory is an Amy/Amy 'shipper.

A magic carpet and a helicopter
Xylric would probably use wormholes.
Game Theory would most likely use his hand-built car.
Leaping over buildings works for me.
Hmmm interesting topic...
Captain Den'Rath has his own fortress airship being kept aloft by vacum power. It's about the same size as the SDF-1.
Rivona would just fly everywhere, although she can fly at hypersonic speeds.
Crab Spider Webguard would just borrow a black helicopter.
Victoria Von Heilwig drives a LGS Fennek. As one of my few natural villains its a little concept breaking to have her super-jumping everywhere.
Valkyrie's Executor just flys every where or uses public transportation.
GyStg. Steppenwolf would drive a M1117 ASV
Oougel: With her aversion to touch, gecko climbing ability, and power to be ignored whenever attention would inconvenience her, I'm gonna say public transportation - on the outside of the vehicle.
Power Balladeer: A totally rockin' 80s-mobile convertible. Hot pink.
The Hour Thief: Again, public transport, but in the conventional way rather than clinging to the roof of a bus or the back of a train. Slow? Maybe, but he has all the time in the world.
Illumineer: Would probably prefer a jetpack to the rocket boots she uses now.

Knight would be using something simular to Samus Arans Gun Ship.
My Lego Models http://www.flickr.com/photos/30369639@N07/ lemur lad: God you can't be that stupid... I'm on at the same time as you for once, and not 20 minutes into it you give me something worth petitioning?
Lady-Dee: Hey my fat keeps me warm in the winter and shady in the summer.
