Strike Target problem!

The new strike target tf for Numina is gonna cause havok. Reason is others will be hunting/street sweeping for the npc's that the tf require for you to gather in different zones! I just got called out my name for going after a group in IP, and explained to them I didnt see him/her and that the Tf i'm doing required the group. It got heated...but I apologized to the individual for what I said and explained to him/her again I didnt see them!

Just a heads up when searching for groups to see who's camping out on spawns to search else where to avoid what I went through.

Simplest solution for me will be to avoid doing the WST this week. Not like I haven't been neglecting all my low and mid-level characters lately.

i think the only havoc that will be caused is if there are a lot of poeple causing zone events to happen during the tfs

just what the tf needs is to be delayed another 30 min

I already had and posted the idea (Costume salvage + LGTFs), but Someone said I couldn't ;(.

well doing that stuff occurs in random zones, and with the vast amount of hero zones the chance of it hitting one which will affect tf team is slim

Egads! I can't begin to imagine how populated your server must be if you can't find 10-30 of something to kill across different zones because everyone is busy street sweeping! @.@

On Freedom it's pretty bad. Especially the Vahz in Faultline and the Council in Boomtown.

Had a Nemesis mob appear off the map in the Scout mission then yeah our poor Boomtown hunter couldn't find a final council target (darn you 5th Column boss grenades!) for 5 minutes.

Thank you, City of Heroes, for giving me a superhero social network combined with amazingly smooth game play. Petitions signed with realistic expectations.

The map with the carnies is still filled with map holes. Pretty sloppy to leave it like that for several years of bug reports especially now with the wst.
But hey its all about the FUN(tm) NEW **** and leave old broken **** unfixed. Unless it's heroside, then it will be fixed next patch window.

I don't see why. I just had a very pleasant evening with it and a PUG team on Freedom. Were there other teams out there? Sure. Was it a problem? Seriously, no. We had one or two people in each zone, and staggered the hunts so we were done with all the hunts in under seven minutes.

I think I'll mostly stick to the Ice Mistral Strike Force this week. That pretty much solves all my concerns.

And I'm not sure when you did it Turg, but when I tried it early in the day (think it was a little before noon EST) it was a mess, lol. But yeah I'm just gonna stay away from Numi for this week.

1. Yeah, that movie poster took me back a bit.

2. Did it around 10pm or so EST, which is typically primetime for activity (we were solidly in red, I remember that from my toon shuffling). How was it a "mess", exactly? My team was literally hopscotching the zones; one would work zone A, while others would plant in zones B and C in preparation, so the kills literally went like dominoes. I didn't know these guys from Adam, but I had two buddies with me who're pro material, and the rest matched up just as classy.

I was actually LOOKING on Broadcast and whatnot for stuff, but didn't see a peep, and the one time I was in TV prepping for the Raider kills, someone came to my special spot, stared at me, then shuffled off to the next group. No muss, no fuss...

So what kinda probs did you get? If you wanna PM to take it off boards, that's cool.

Yo Turgman! wassup! hope to team with ya in game to speed through Numi, with ya! I believe [MO] not everyone would experience what I went through...but you may run into that one that says "I spotted em 1st, so"add expletive here". It's an mmo so the chances are moderate to high in that regard. But those that avoided any conflict...very good. keep up the good work!

I did 2 Numis last night, prime time, and didn't really have any problems. Mostly I got what Turg did, people would see me standing in a mob and just mosey on. I did have 1 spawn killed while I was staking it out but I assume the guy didn't see me because when I moved to another spawn, he saw me and the spawn but left the spawn alone. All in all, I have seen pretty polite behavior. (on Freedom no less)

Rawr, bro. Look me up, dial @Turg for a good time.

I think what you're pointing out is a matter of perspective. If I get a chub who gets prickly on me (and they're not being reasonable), one star them, /ignore 'em, then kill their mobs 'til they /e kneel. Or don't - just move on to the next group. Both options result in the same thing (but one is more testosteronically satisfying).

Maybe the daytime players have more of an issue. I dunno. I'm almost tempted to call in today anyway... maybe it'll be an experiment. *cough* Lemme call *cough* my boss..

I ran a PUG Numina last night on Virtue and the only problem we had was one of the zones had a Zombie zone event that made us wait an extra 5 minutes for it to clear. We had no problems getting in the way of anyone else hunting spawns.

For what it's worth when they created Numina 7 years ago there were no zone events so it's not really like the Devs "hate" heroes or anything like that. It was just a silly coincidence. *shrugs*

Just wait till later in week. Since you don't get shards no one will want to do the WST twice with the same toon. By the weekend the furor will die down and people will be complaining they can't get a team.

First day of WST is always bad. It is so bad you can even get on a SF red side. :-O
