Either buff Swift or nerf Hurdle

This is just dumb. Now that everybody has all the Fitness powers, that means everyone jumps faster than they run. Anyone who wants to move faster just has to jump everywhere and they'll get where they're going more than half again as fast as just running.

Seriously, how does it make sense that the horizontal movement buff of the ostensibly vertical movement passive is four times as strong as the buff from the actual horizontal movement passive?

Um... and this wasn't a problem when fitness wasn't inherent why?

Then why are you just now complaining about it?

Okay then.

Honestly, it might be a big encouragement in PvP but I never see it happening in my regular play sessions. Sure you can make a button toggle jump on and off but I think most people are just turning on Sprint, Ninja Run, or whatever else they've got and taking a straight path to their destination. And no, Super Jumping is not Bunny Hopping.

These days I don't even get travel powers for my characters unless for theme or IO bonuses. Ninja Run/Beast Run + Sprint is much faster running than it is Jumping with Inherent Fitness in the mix.

No.

The drawback of using hurdle to move is you look stupid skipping (since you don't jump that high with hurdle).

At least combined with combat jumping it looks like a cheap knockoff of super jump with the added height as well as the direction control.

My skipping Fire Tank would like to have a word with you.

No. I do not agree with nerfing anything except maybe my ExGF.

Sprint needs no buff, but I wouldn't mind that part of your suggestion.

But jumping with Ninja Run is still faster than running with Ninja Run and Sprint if Hurdle, Sprint, and Swift is 1-slotted.

Players asking for a nerf makes kittens cry.

Having greater speed on jumping allows us to choose whether we want to move fast or not. A nerf on Hurdle or a buff on Swift would remove choice from the equation. So, no.

How about "Leave it be!" with a side order of "Oh hells no!!!"?

Honestly, what a perfect pack to add in another Ninja Run clone. I am very happy they thought so too! Wewt!

We should get a low-End inherent power, then, that makes us Run faster, as if we were sprinting.

Honestly, all the rhetoric about "choice at any cost" and "never nerf things ever" is really narrow-minded, not to mention tiresome.

Oh boo hoo. So is your suggestion. The powers are just fine. And if you didn't get the clue from the previous poster, and I doubt you did, turn on Sprint and you'll go faster. You do not have a free power to activate to jump higher.

Indeed. It takes a special kind of... well, special, to start a topic that is essentially "nerf this because it annoys me personally" and then complain about everyone else being narrowminded.

Not to mention there's no cost in having the choice right now. Everyone has access to the powers. Nerfing Hurdle to Swift level would just mean people would be slower. Buffing Swift to Hurdle level would mean people would go at the same speed as before.

Sprint provides more of a vertical jumping boost than Hurdle does (0.1 JumpHeight vs 0.06, specifically).

So yes, you do have a free power to activate to jump higher.
