So test has part/all of I19.5 on it, although it doesn't appear that a WTF will be announced until tuesday. Here's some screens of the Nerve rare, very rare, a new breakdown screen and every soloers favortie favor of the well.

I figured yall might be to busy with 2xp to head over to test this weekend.

The official test server thread can be found here
http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=251115

I suggest visiting it soon, it seems like its on the verge of going MASSICWDOOMRAGE

Cool costume.

There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.

So...is it possible to use shards to craft a Notice of the Well, then?

Cool pics, thanks Ward =]

Unless something has changed in the design, no you won't be able to use shards to craft a Notice for I19.5.

Though, I expect that in time.

No, it is not possible at this time.

You will be able to *break down* a Notice of the Well into shards if you happen to have more Notices than you need. But you can't craft a Notice.

Once the Targeted Strikes start, completing one of those Targets will be the only source for Notices until that changes, if ever. (With a once-a-week limit on collection of Notices.)

They'll probably be forced to allow something like that to appease those of the "diehard soloer" persuasion.

No, you can only get them via the WST, and the issue 20 trials (which are soloable).

Favours are crafted, needs 2 notices and 32 shards.

I really should do something about this signature.

Do you mind linking the info that shows the trials to be soloable?

At best we think the Devs are aware of the situation and, hopefully, realize how many people would be upset if there is NOT soloable incarnate content in I20. Unfortunately I don't think we can say, as of today, that the Devs have in fact GUARANTEED that's going to happen yet.

That's why I was asking that poster for more info as to why they believe the trials are soloable. Just trying to curtail rumors which is probably a futile effort.

See, that makes very little sense to me. Why allow the things to be broken down, and yet not crafted the same way?

Don't get me wrong, I'm no die hard. I'll tag along for the TFs the same as most folks and probably have a good time alongside.
I just still thing it's damned silly design, and it would also give a soloable option.

In I19, the devs added some new tech for the Praetorian zone events that can track how much someone has contributed to an event, and then give them reward choices based on it - it's quite possible they'll use somthing similar for the Incarnate Trials, so people can join in even if they're not on a team, and still get something from it.
They've said, for example, that the BAF raid needs 12-24 players - they've not said that those 12-24 players have to be on teams - just like the Mothership and Winter Realm Raids support solo play.

I hope not, given that I've had 'issues' with that tech a good few times.

Like on my Elec/Sonic controller who didn't get offered the badge for the Neutropolis zone event, even though I was throwing controls left right and centre, buffing the team and debuffing ghouls when I had any spare endurance.

Or my Bots/Traps who's failed to be offered the badge a couple of times on different zone events because apparently my pets and traps don't count as me doing anything...

I guess it's a means to encourage players to participate in the SF or TF of the week. Why bother to do the SF or TF of the week when you can craft the incarnate reward by amassing a stockpile of shards from other SFs or TFs.

If I counted correctly..
Common: 12 Shards
Uncommon: 8 To Craft+12 shards for 3 common parts
------------
32

Rare:4+4+Unc
40

Very Rare= Favor(32)+40(rare1)+40(rare2)+4(common piece)+12()uncommon piece)
128

A month is pretty reasonable - it's not like there's a time limit on accessing the content - it'll still be there, no matter how long someone takes

Given that only level 50 give shards, breaking them down is also a way to get shard for doing non-50 content, as long as its the TF of the week.

Seems like a good idea.

I know how to break down a scanning tunneling microscope. Doesn't mean I can make one.

Before you say, "but somebody can make one!": the Well can make Notice of the Wells

For those stockpiling: 64 Shards +2 Uncommons should be all you need other than the 4 Notices to get your Very Rare.

And what if they can't participate in TFs often? I know of people who find that to be the case. Are they gated from ever getting the Rare/Very Rare slots by some arbitrary limit trying to encourage them to do something that they probably would anyway were they able to do so?

Very funny, clever clogs. I see you are not a McGuyver though

That aside, see the previous comment; it's all about allowing options for everyone.

Until i20, yes

And even then, that's only a guess by people. There is, as of yet, no confirmed solo-able content coming in I20 that can allow for that.

If a Dev was to pop up and say 'Yeah, wait till I20, then you can solo. Just be patient.' this whole debate wouldn't even be happening.
As it is? Well, that's peoples opinions, and they are allowed them.

Black Scorpion did mention that he was looking into solo options for players to get the components for the Rare/Very Rare Incarnate slots.

Devs specifically said that in i20 R/VR can be crafted from components from Incarnate Trials they didn't say what that entailed.
