Anti-Matter's Clockwork

I was on a team the other day, and something crossed my mind, why the HELL does a Vacuum or Scrub Bot have Flame Thrower installed on their wrist? Even at that, why do Repair and Hauler Bots have Plasma Cannons on their backs? I suppose if a a water spot doesn't want to go away, a Scrub bot can just flame Throw it. Just a thought.

because clockwork are designed to be impromptu militia as well as janitors/manual laborers.

They are also designed to be a defence force too. Calling one a Scrub Bot (its primary purpose) is better PR than calling it Flame Thrower Bot.

I don't care about the weapons. I'm absolutely fine. I personally would be thrilled if my vacuum cleaner had a flame thrower.

I want to know who decided that these machines needed breasts. I'm not saying all the robots should be male. I'm saying that the robots shouldn't have gender.

Fuel/cleaner tanks. Externally mounted for easier loading.

Antimatter is lonely because of Neuron hogging all the fame and attention. Neuron is lonely because he thinks way faster than Bobcat.

I've seen cardboard cutouts that think faster than Bobcat.

Actually, this is covered in the groups description: they're supposed to look human to make people feel more at ease with a familiar sight, and humans have genders, right?
Unfortunately, what happens instead is that anyone who's not a Praetorian native (see: the players) get smacked in the face and fall down finding themselves in uncanny valley, populated by these eerie mock-ups of people.

There's a better reason for female clockwork. Clockwork were designed to be usable as player costume pieces, and if they went to all the trouble to make female clockwork they might as well use them, right?

Same reason Vanguard is the only group that has people with the Huge skeleton as totally normal, unremarkable members of the group.

Issue 16 made me feel like this.

I thought Lost had some huge guys too, aside from the Warwolves or Ancestor spirits for instance. Would be nice if that means we'll get the TV-helmet, though.

Anti-matter is a deeply sad and desperate guy, and Neuron is just a freak

I thought they were supposed to be mirror opposites of their Primal Earth counterparts....

It's been mentioned in some descriptions that the mid-sized Clockwork (the ones with the arc cannon on their backs) use that apparatus for welding, sterilization and electric maintenance.

The Dismantler/Lifter Clockwork (the big ones) use the cannon in their chest for demolition purposes.

You can use a Jackhammer as a weapon, and an arc welder just the same.

And as stated, they're designed to have defensive features as a protective measure. Otherwise the Resistance/any miscreants would find little opposition outside of the PPD, who aren't exactly a morally expendable resource.

My guides:Dark Melee/Dark Armor/Soul Mastery, Illusion Control/Kinetics/Primal Forces Mastery, Electric Armor
"Dark Armor is a complete waste as a tanking set."

The huge guys in the lost start out as Lt.s, if I recall correctly, which is why Vanden put the caveat "as totally normal, unremarkable members of the group."
And as far as I understand, the Warwolves use the "Monstrous" model, like white and black dwarfs, rather then the huge model.

I'd assume its for the same reason that the US constitution has the second amendment, "to preserve a well armed militia."
And lets face it its a lot less dangerous arming trained and professional robots rather than citizens which might be idiots. :P
