Post your character's bio

My apologies if a similar thread exists, but a quick search yielded no results. I thought I would create a thread for folks to post their faviorite character bios. One of my favorite things to do in-game is run around and read the interesting/terrible/offensive/funny/unoriginal/epic bios that people come up with for their characters. I try to write an interesting, or at least entertaining, bio for each of my toons. My favorite by far is my WM/Invuln Praetorian brute. A redneck from Alabama by the name of Roscoe Forest.

"Me and my brother Cletus was watchin the race and drinkin beer and we got real drunk and passed out. When we woke up we was in some yankee city I ain’t never seen before with a buncha robots and such walkin’ around. Everybody was talkin’ bout some Cole fella done took over the world and nobody didn’t know nothin bout America and they was all a buncha darn commies and I told Cletus, “We ain’t in ‘Bama no more man, we gotta get home before Talladega or im goin’ be madder n' a snake man.” Cletus found hisself a rifle and I got me a baseball bat and we went to bashin commies till we can get back to Alabama. Skynyrd RULES!"

Miles Church was raised within Humanities last foothold on a devastated Earth, The Enclave. The Enclave was surrounded by an impenetrable force field developed by the Crey Conglomeration in conjunction with High level Tsoo-Thorn Alliance Sorcerers. The Shield was the first successful use of “MysTec” the Unification of High Level Magic and Quantum Science. Thousands of Heroes and Tsoo-Thorn Alliance lost their lives buying the time needed for the Shield to come on line. The Rikti were stopped at the Shield, Humanity was Safe. Using the new Technology armor was created for an all out offensive. The Golden War began. Captain Church earned the title Ace on earth, and Golden Ace on the Rikti home world. The Rikti facing total annihilation sent an elite squadron back in time to correct the first Rikti Invasion. Miles followed them back in time and stopped them, but was stranded with his armor powered down and no way to recharge it. Miles is now striving to prevent his future from happening.

At first glance, you see an unassuming businessman who appears to be around 40 years old. As you watch closely, you begin to notice singular habits that set him apart from the norm.

Most obvious, his eyes dart back and forth, constantly examining the world around him. There is no fear in his gaze, merely a vigilant awareness.

It doesn't happen often, but when the light catches his hands right, you see a glint of metallic texture mixed with his skin. His hat is carefully positioned to keep as much light off his face as possible to hide the same property.

Dead Eyes Open
or
It's Not Easy Being a Little Dead Girl

When she started to wake up it was a lot like the fever dreams she'd been having when she fell asleep. Everything was blurry and unreal, it was hard to think. She was in some sort of room with stone walls and men in funny robes and scary glowing eyes were standing around her saying stuff in a sing-song she couldn't make out. One of the the things they kept repeating sounded sort of like "Su Vem Be". She lay there terrified, feeling cold and unable to move as the bad men did the sing-song.

Then a bunch grownups in strange and brightly-colored clothing burst in and started beating up the bad men. When the nice people asked her name she couldn't remember anyone's name, not even mom or dad's. She remembered the flame dancing in her room's gaslamp before she fell asleep, but that's all.

(Here we are, here we stand, trapped inside this wonderland. Moving in circles, falling around; they go up, but we fall down.)

Troimille Ile:
Bitten by a radioactive nuclear generator, Troimille gained all the powers of a nuclear generator, namely, producing radiation and electricity. Also, she enjoys a good cup of coffee, but that might not be a power possessed by a nuclear generator.

Admiral Whiskers:
The beloved pet of Dr. Senileolman, Admiral Whiskers was the only being that he trusted not to betray him. As such, he formed Whiskers into a body guard. Unfortunately, Admiral Whiskers is easily distracted by shiny fast moving objects and Dr. Senileolman was killed by an assilant with a supply of laser pointers.

Anbaric Amber - Lvl 50 Mutant Blaster ELEC/FIRE with Alpha Cardio

Amber is not of this world. Trapped here when the doors between this universe and her own were permanently closed, she has swore to make a life in a world familiar and yet strange. Amber's powers manifested themselves earlier than most, beginning as a powerful static charge. This soon progressed to powerful waves of electricity that began to do damage to her surroundings. She was then admitted to a school for mutants where she learned to control her powers. Since then she has demonstrated a control over fire and now has fire mastery. She is currently unable to maintain a secret identify because of her powerful aura that cannot be disguised or contained. She lives as Anbaric Amber full time and must be extremely cautious visiting friends.

Praetorian Ako - Lvl 34 Natural Brute SS/INV

Ako is a teenaged hero on the run from the authorities from her home world, Praetoria. Her catch phrase, "AKO SMASH!!!" can be heard either immediately preceding a large explosion or immediately after. She lives to fight and when she fights she only gets stronger and stronger until the fight is over. Her main frustration in life is injustice and corruption, something she willingly fights with her fists. In her secret identity, she struggles to fit in at school while maintaining her identity. She is quick to anger, violent, and can be dangerous. However, she is a powerful asset to Anbaric Amber's Women of Justice and Snacks Guild.

Technically Eva - Lvl 49 Technology Defender EMP/RAD

Eva was born a normal girl to very abnormal parents who were both super scientists and masters of robotics. Despite the danger of doing so - Eva often accompanied her parents on missions around the world. It was on one such mission that Eva was tragically injured. Had it not been for her parents quick action, Eva surely would have died. The extent of Eva's injuries were such that only a head and partial torso could be saved. She is now more machine than human but is neither twisted nor evil. Her good nature and positive attitude despite her limitations serve as serious inspiration for those around her. Additionally, her technologically advanced form gives her the ability to heal and assist those around her. She can also defend herself by using her internal radioactive power source as a weapon. Her positive attitude can be witnessed in her character and appearance as everything about her is pink and sunshine.

Boiler

You know how it is, right? One day some Super Slimeball fresh outa the Zig comes and wipes out your business, your home, and your friends. There isn’t even enough to bury; barely enough to ID the DNA. So you sit at the bottom of the smoking pit that was your life, screaming.

That’s how it was for me. When I finally looked up I was staring at an old boiler. I don’t know who I thought I was gonna take on, but by God I was gonna have the armor to do it in. They were gonna be hit by the only two things they didn’t manage to destroy – that rusted boiler and me. Iron, steel, and Kevlar underneath. It weighed a ton. I could take steroids for years and not have the body to move it.

That’s when I got smart – or really, REALLY dumb. I put every last cent I have into that grey-market stuff they sell in certain shops. Micro-actuators, electro-encephalo sensors, the works. Now I’m broke and may not even have money to eat at the end of the week – but at least one superkiller will be back in special confinement.

Flicker Nik

Young Flicker Nik with a bright, flaming click had surfaced in Paragon City
To light up the night with a good firefight against bad men whom we should all pity.
With a flicker of fire and a flaming desire to skewer them all on a stick
He dove in the fray and then day after day he whittled them down to the quick.
While doing these things he began growing wings to his gleeful delight and surprise
But the bad men took fear as he drew ever near for now he'd attack from the skies!
So cheer for the sprite with the fire and the fight who will save you in just half a tick
Since he grew from the ground he’s always around to help and defend – Flicker Nik.

Screaming Flea

In the village where I grew up nothing seems the same, but you never see the change from day to day. No one notices the customs slip away. Once we were warriors and now we fish and farm.

But deep in the mountains you will find the still-secret places built long ago. There the air is crisp with the edge of the minds sharpened by stone temples. I learned to fish, to farm - and to fight. I honed my skill on the hard mountains, learned from masters even more cruelly-tempered by time. It wears you down - literally. But when you leave, the spirit and the mind expand to fill the physical absence.

Superette

Krysta VanLeowen was working as a checker at the Superette Foods the summer after graduating HS when the store was robbed by a gang of thugs. When the robbery went bad another checker and a customer were shot.

She became very angry and started shrieking at the top of her lungs. The thugs dropped their guns to grab their ears in pain and most were captured. She crouched on the floor next to the customer and her injured friend and in a sudden, dizzy spell that washed over her like a wave, the wounds of both of them were healed.

Several of the thugs managed to flee the scene and she vowed to hunt them down. She took her name from the store and the uniform is none other than her high school band uniform – with a few changes for safety.

Those crooks have long since been captured, and their gang was all but wiped out before the remainder joined other gangs like the Hellions and Skulls. Superette, however, remained committed to bringing others their just deserts.

None of mine really have proper bios, per se... They tend to end up with long quotes or one-sided snippets of conversation that are more about the "voice" and the personality of the character than their history.

Ke'khali (17 year-old DB/WP scrapper), for instance, talks about "texting her peeps" and busting invaiding Rikti heads because they made her drop her phone... Zhen'kei (TA/Archery defender, and something of a steampunk-esque gadgeteer) has her side of an argument with a Nemesis captain, on the subject of a doomsday weapon she built, but won't hand over, because she's convinced the Prussian Prince simply doesn't appreciate fine craftsmanship.

Grey Kestrel (A rogue DB/WP stalker who works more or less exclusively for Scirocco, with an Adept companion she's both very fond of and highly protective about-) has my favorite of the lot. She's pretty much reading the riot act to some generic dim-wit of a hero who's mistaken her for one of Recluse's villains, and so made the monumental Bad Move of taking a shot at Cardinal (her afore-mentioned Adept partner). Something about an angry assassin lecturing some clueless cape, telling him to back off and "Stop trying so hard to make me kill you!" just makes me chuckle. It's... very Kestrel. XD
