My favorite was last year when some of the Winter Lord spawn points were right in front of the Ouro exit points for talos (the hill) and in founders.

So exit Ouro to talos.... instagib for squishies!

The people who leave behind spawned presents don't really bother me...

The "helpful" person who was spamming Speed Boost on everything that moved whether they requested it or not at the start line of the chute run bothered me...

... but not as much as the twit who was camping the finish line with all his Robot minions trying to tackle people just before they finished.

My mind wanders so often you've probably seen its picture on milk cartons. - Me... the first person version of the third person Steelclaw

So recently I did a mission where I killed a man I held hostage for money because his daughter had the nerve to try to save him.

The first present I opened afterwards? "You've been nice!"

Last night, I Was running around Talos on my level 21 scrapper. I had forgotten how they spawned, and thought it was player-level. In the yellow areas, I was getting level 20-22 spawns. When I opened a few in the red areas, I was getting level 27 every time.

It was the same in Peregrine. By the docks, I was getting 42-ish spawns. Nearer to Portal Court, they were 49 and 50.
That's probably true. Some neighborhoods do have a good 5 or so level spread in what can spawn there.

Not to mention misguided, since Inertial Reduction is FAR more useful on the Advanced Run than Speed Boost is.

Now that's just a prime example of the Universal Maxim (TM, Pat. Pending) in action, to wit - 'People are Idiots'.

Also a prime candidate for a petition for griefing, but that's another matter.

I can't help it. The image of some young hero, Speed Boosted and ready, sailing down the slopes, making every turn just right, coming down that final curve only to get bumrushed by a posse of robot 'friends' is cracking. Me. The. Heck. Up. LMAO

Some people are in a hurry to collect a large number of candy canes, and taking time to clean up the spawns adds up, in addition to all that travel time. Minimizing the grind is perfectly understandable.

It doesn't bother me at all if people leave the snowmen behind. I think it adds flavor for the Winter Event.

I too don't mind when people leave the spawns alone.

While I tend to leave the spawns behind when present-hunting I am aware of the potential impact it can have on some players, would generally restrict my hunting to out-of-the-way areas such as the far south of Skyway where lowbies rarely traveled. With the zone revamp of Faultline and especially the open tram system its not quite as isolated as it used to be, might work up a new flightpath this year.

This.

It needs to be fixed.

A level 30 popping open level 39s isn't going to clean up anything.

total kick to the gut

Agreed. And they despawn when a new present pops up, so they're only really an obstacle if... well, I can't think of many reasonable situations where they are an obstacle. Maybe if some top-level ones spawn by a mission door a lowbie needs, but I can't think of any present spots near mission doors.
