Where Do You Respec?

Maybe it's just me but I like to be in a secluded spot when I respec a character. I feel like the character is vulnerable while he or she is just standing there, no powers, no enhancements. I've used the third floor in the back of the University. Or the back wall of a vault.

So is it just me?

BTW. I am THRILLED that thugs don't commit suicide anymore when dismissed. That is just SO cool.

Clearly we need working phone booths.

Freespec in my base.

Otherwise Port Oakes Arbiter Sawyer or Galaxy Jack Wolf.

I'll duck into the base more often than not, but I will also frequently do a respect right in front of the Trainer, so I can be ready to switch builds, or gain a level if I just earned one before I decided to do the respec.

I don't like standing somewhere were someone can bump into me, but otherwise I just make sure it's unlikely there will be any threats coming around. If I'm in a conversation with someone in a channel or my SG I'll usually also let them know I'll be out of communication for a while, but that's pretty rare.

I didn't notice that, but yes, it's about time that got fixed.

In my bedroom when I'm at my computer and logged on to City of Heroes.

Yeah, respecing in general gives me a vulnerable, "naked" kind of feeling. I can only imagine how my character must feel.

I usually go to one of the WW or Black Markets that doesn't get used much like KR or Sharkhead. That way when I get done I can craft or sell depending on what I did with the respec.

For the 2 I did last night.

One flew up and did /e yoga on top of the Talos statue in Talos just because I happened to be close and it was secluded with a view.

The other happened to be in Grandville so I just peered over one of the ledges of Recluses tower.

Yeah, I feel vulnerable too, so I usually include the /afk message
'In deep meditation'

Often the base. I tend to go quiet places too. Uni at the back. Midnight club. Away from where I could be hearing auras or the like left on auto.
Unless my connection is wonky that day, whhere I'll respec in my day job location so I can ragequite after disconnects.

I'd guess that if it took you long enough the AFK tag would re-apply. I just recall the time that I was AFK and came back to some idiot trying to bump me off of the top of the ferry in PD. I waited until he went for the next run and flew up. He was pissed that he ended up in the water himself.

You know it might, I never really noticed as the respec screen pops up so quick. Oh well, it's more so anyone passing by knows I'm blind.

I like somewhere more private. I've gone into side rooms in the Vanguard base.

I did a lot of respecs yesterday for my various level 50s. I did one in front of WW in Talos on the grass across the street and I felt very exposed through out the process. I had been tempted to go to one of the islands north of Talos city but didn't want to take the time to travel there.

My MM was on top of the pyramid in St. Martial's and I heard the Rikti attacking my character. After awhile the attacking noises stopped. After the respec I was lying on the ground, but revived automatically.

Normally, I go to the quiet room in the AE. Yesterday I had too many to bother. I ended repseccing in the Shadow Shard, the Cap Au Diable Univeristy, a quiet spot in the Vanguard base, etc. I'm careful to be someplace where I won't be attacked and won't be in anyone's way while I'm busy, but other than that it was mostly just wherever I happened to have logged out.

I go on 100% hide and in a place somebody wont come across me and talk in local/PM so they dont think im rude

Usually in the zone where I log but always inside a building in case of an invasion.

Usually "wherever I am" or, if I happened to log out/get DC'd somewhere that may not be safe, the nearest ledge/building/sg base.

Only one that bugs me is Arbiter whatsisface (lupin?) in Nerva. Mobs really need to be re-pathed around that.
