Titan Network Presents: Titan Sentinel
If you could pull that rabbit outta your hat, I would laud you copiously for days on end. Personally, tracking my merits would be more handy than influence, levels, powers, (pretty much everything combined with the exception of badges, but badges are still second place).

Tigra Swipe (BS/SR/Dark Scrapper)
Galena Storm (Emp/Ele/Ele Defender)
Master Tolarin (Psi/Fire/Force Blaster)
Dare I even imagine...could this eventually be expanded to include salvage?

so wait can you track same things(defeats, drops etc.) as herostats and export builds?
|
HeroStats doesn't have the Mids' export feature, Day Job calculator, and doesn't detect alignment or (I think) zone, but can detect all of the other things Sentinel can. (Exception: HeroStats relies on messages that appear in your chat tabs to track badges, so it still requires /settitle binds for tracking large numbers of badges. Sentinel will grab all of your badges in one shot if you open your personal info window.)
Sentinel was designed with a small footprint in mind, so it only tracks what can be recorded (or will soon be able to be recorded) on CIT to keep resource consumption to a minimum. HeroStats, on the other hand is more of a statistical analysis tool and is able to track a lot of additional things like prestige earned, enemies defeated, average damage output for each power, total damage output/hour per power, XP/hour, average power accuracy, number of times you've activated each power, recharge times, damage received per hour, etc. In order to do all of that, HeroStats requires a couple orders of magnitude more memory and a bit more processing power.
Long story short (too late):
Sentinel: compact, bare bones, very good for character tracking without eating system resources, not recommended for in-depth analysis of character performance, has the Export button
HeroStats: much bigger, detects/displays a much larger set of information, recommended for in-depth analysis, still needed if you want to track on BadgeHunter, probably not your best bet if you're only interested in tracking characters on CIT or concerned with resource consumption, no Export button

I've been using Titan Sentinel for the past couple of days and I love it.
I still use Hero Stats to track timers and other things, but Sentinel works wonderfully as a badge tracker.
Thanks for the excellent work!
Thank you very much! This is pretty much my first time messing with such things, so its all pretty cool to me!
I haven't tried this one as yet since the servers are down. But thank you all for all of your hard work.

I've tried it, and I like!
Exporting my current build to mids with the unofficial I-19 patch is going to make my life so much easier.
Once again, THANK YOU!

Congrats! This is a massive improvement over anything we've had so far!
I do have 2 questions tho. Any possibility of adding Badge Hunter reporting? And also...based on what you're now able to track, is there a possibility you'd ever be able to track things like salvage, recipes, etc?
Eliminating the need to "toon hop" to see what toon a particular salvage/recipe is on would be GREAT!
If you can't, that's perfectly fine too. Just a wishful suggestion.
I've been playing around with it this morning, and on the main site it isn't tracking some of the villain secondaries. I've logged in a pain dom and a sonic resonance toon this morning, but in the 'account overview' stats, neither PD or SR is listed under the secondary tally. But if I go to the character's main page, it does show.
Its throwing me off a little bit because some secondary sets just aren't listing.
Edit - Its also not showing shield defense. May want to fix that so it keeps an accurate track.

My Characters
This is great.
The Mid's export feature alone is fried in win and dipped in awesomesauce.
Thanks Titan Network!

Looks pretty spiffy. Unfortunately, since I primarily use Badge Hunter to track my badges, I don't have much of a reason to get this. Looks neat, though.
The build export button isn't reason enough, Xaphan?
If you consider it to be "unfortunate" that you track your badges with Badge Hunter, maybe you should switch. Haha. I enjoy the way people word things.

Any chance that's why you don't see the Pain Domination and Shield Defense sets?

Are there any plans to add primary and secondary powersets to the public info page.

This looks very good
I was a bit sad when Glycerine/CiT was getting out-of-date badge wise for my main (EI). Right now on live he has 972 badges and...according to CiT I only have 863 (?) badges....
Hooray I'll have up-to-date badges now...and now I know what badges I actually need again

Even when I was with Titan, I still tracked badges on BH. BH does some stuff better than CIT/Titan, and CIT/Titan does some things better than BH. Nobody likes a monopoly. Learn to accept friendly competition, and know that in the end, this is all done for the community.

Maybe I should rephrase: I enjoy poking fun at the fact that the way people word things can be taken in ways they didn't intend. :P
This irks me. For years, there have been issues between CIT/Titan, and BH. Why not accept the fact that neither are going anywhere and be glad that there are options for the community?

I'm not usually one for sharing any kind of information online, but this is honestly pretty darn slick. Good job.
Have you ever looked into seeing how the game keeps track of your history plaques? At this point there's really no way to know which ones you're missing. If you have a lot of them, the only way is to either use vidmaps and wiki to make a run for all the plaques you're missing for a badge, or to run grab all plaques on a map, and do it for every map. Both are tedious. Something tells me this may be even beyond you guys, but as I'm not really a programmer I can't say.
In the future I think it'd be cool if TitainSentail showed the photo and displayed the name of the last toon I played when I start it up.

Any thought into including, or is it even possible to include, merits?

I'll definitely be looking into this, but of course I can't make any promises at this time.
WINE is supposed to implement those Windows-specific system calls for Linux, so if things aren't working, it means either WINE isn't programmed right, or Windows is letting you get away with things it shouldn't.
|
Making this work under Linux isn't a big priority (and don't get me wrong: I looove Linux), if only because of the concept of jumping through hoops to get the program to work on something that's only pretending to be the supported platform.
Looks pretty spiffy. Unfortunately, since I primarily use Badge Hunter to track my badges, I don't have much of a reason to get this. Looks neat, though.

Only the game servers know which plaques you've clicked, I'm afraid. There's nothing I can do about it.
