Perpetual night is part of the Halloween Event. As Novapulse said, it ends when the event ends.

"You don't lose levels. You don't have equipment to wear out, repair, or lose, or that anyone can steal from you. About the only thing lighter than debt they could do is have an NPC walk by, point and laugh before you can go to the hospital or base." -Memphis_Bill
We will honor the past, and fight to the last, it will be a good way to die...

According to Paragon Wiki, you may also go to Cimerora (I suppose perpetual night in the present does not effect the past of Ancient Rome ) the Hive, or the Abyss (Hamidon apparently has the power to keep the ghoulies away too) if you want to see a little sunlight during this season.

Neither is the normal rotation of the planet apparently, since it's never night there.

Well, it IS kind of a pocket dimension. (Or at least I consider it that.)

Which is really too bad... I think Cimerora would look great with Roman zombies. Or the banners!

Hate it? I love it!

I'm thinking of slowly making my main more and more pale as the event goes on!

Heh, two years ago on Oct 18th I started playing the trial. That was also the day the Halloween event started. It took me almost a week to realize the perpetual night, broken only by the red sky of zombie invasions, was part of the event and not normal. I didn't see proper daylight and blue skies until the after the two week trial was over and I had bought the game.

Hmmm... I hadn't even noticed the perpetual night until I saw this post.

Then again, I kinda live in perpetual night because I'm normally asleep during the day. That, and I spend a majority of my playtime in the Rogue Isles

It doesn't matter what time of day you play the game. One full day/night cycle normally happens every 30 minutes... even in the Rogue Isles.

But the Rogue Isles is more "dark" and whatnot. Not as much difference to notice between night and day.

Orc&Pie No.53230 There is an orc, and somehow, he got a pie. And you are hungry.
