i agree with u on assault riffle. i dont play it because ehh, the animations are so blah. i really hope the DEVs given alternate animation to this set because i just cant play it, its so boring. that being said, dark melee, claws and enery melee need better lookin animations because again with those is so plain. especially with claws, its pretty much spines u know?
enery blast is another good point u made, shooting it somewhere else other than ur hands would be kool i think too but the sets animations just looks so ugly. i heard before the game went into beta the set was going to be a water attack set but they made it energy since it didnt look good as water. either way, the set colors / animations looks just thrown together and sloopy. dont get me wrong, i like the arm movements and such but the actually shootin power parts looks bad.
i love this game and the DEVs only have so much time and resources and like other games theres always room for improvements. i think eventually theyll get around to some base and older power set love but for now, i think the main thing is trying to get new people into the game and i know they havent forgotten about us vets cause damn, theyve made some epic improvements lately and if they keep this up ill be throwin my money at them for years to come

And now, a serious answer:
Weapon Customization and Power Customization are mutually exclusive. You can't have both at the same time. So if the bullets and muzzle flashes could be colored, you'd be stuck with the Super Soaker.
Honestly, I'm hoping this is something that can be fixed/resolved some day.

Unless you want to be doing backflips and tossing your gun in the air when you attack, I'd say it covers how you would use an ASSAULT RIFLE pretty well.
So many people complain about things they want like they are trivial to do. They aren't.
You are demanding things that will take the dev team YEARS to do, and then you get bent out of shape at being told as much. The game isn't a freakin' Etch a Sketch, programming things in it take time, which you are apparently unwilling to spend waiting.
To which my only rational response is: Tough.

I agree a few things could still use adjusting (the "social" rooms that take nothing but decorative are too expensive for what they are, and a generator/control unit between the combo and first tier would be nice) but overall it's MUCH better now. The base editor needs love - including a temporary holding area. That said, the teleporters are created with easily obtained salvage (not base salvage any more.) You don't lose prestige when you sell them - you get it back. Create new ones. This is more of an issue with things like Enhancement and Salvage racks - if you delete them, you lose anything inside. Also, i didn't realize i couldn't color my assault rifle and went and did it anyway. Okay, not the classic original model, but then none of the weapons sets allow you to color the original. However, i have many other assault rifles models to choose from, including a tintable version of the original, so i use those.
Come to think of it, none of the weapons sets allow you to tint the attack/hit effects, if that's what the OP meant (i hope, at a guess), just the weapon itself. Quick, to the Complaint Cave! We'll use the complaint computer to make a list of every single weapon set, locate the Devs, and then complain about the lack of alternate animations and (effects?) coloring for Every. Single. Freaking. Weapon. Set. In. The. Game.
That'll show them! Something or other, i'm not quite sure what.

Incidentally, have you ever noticed that people only say things like "I don't mean to be rude, but..." when they know they're about to say something rude? It's even more common than prefacing a rant with "This is not a rant, but..."
