Nothing says "fun" like having your freedom of choice taken away from you.
They aren't forcing you to waste power slots of enhancement slots on fitness pool. They are giving them to you for free.

It'd be like complaining that the Devs force you to take sprint and brawl.

It's almost funny when someone tries to use Fitness becoming Inherent as some sort of argument crutch. I wonder what they would say if Fitness was inherent from the very beginning, which at least in my mind...would of made plenty sense for it to be.

Anyway, no more threadjacking...back to the COP.
Speaking of which, why not comment on the changes to the "No Nukes" in the CoP?

You've chimed in here for no reason at all, other then the thread jack and still no answers have been presented to us.

I don't care either way, I don't run it for the lack of rewards the trial offers, but it would still be nice to know the reasoning behind the changes.

They DO force us to take Sprint and Brawl; I'd much rather have something more useful in those two slots, especially Brawl which is perhaps the most useless thing ever. Just sayin'.

Uh, what? Inherent powers do not take away any choices. It's not like you could have gotten The I Win Button but the Devs removed it to make room for Sprint. Inherent powers do not limit choices. While you my be "forced" to "take" inherent powers you are not forced to slot or use them, and they do not affect your ability to take other powers.

*shakes head*

Wow, just wow.

We need a facepalm emote in game even more every issue. That post was one of the more epically dumb posts. Almost as impressive as when someone posted how useless Darkest Night was because all it did was aggro enemies.

I like how theyve made it as it should- challenging.
so nukes arent allowed no more. then its down to team work and team building.
why do people moan when something is v hard.
so you cant do it first time or second...well then, learn and retry.
if its doable all the time then people will just moan tht theres nothing challenging.
i say, while it is new and things need to be watched..the ability to no longer have nukes is a good thing.

Castle, have you considered just maybe removing all the damn Engineers off the top of those bridges? And, heck, removing the capes from everything except the Bosses on Cimerorans?
BaBs posted just why we as players would never get more than one cape, and how much capes could impact performace. Why, then, is there an area that is known as a lag killzone, and yet it is literally infested with cape wearing enemies, a very large number of which are never even confronted?

That and the fact that about three ambushes spawn at once, if not more, rather than having them staggered?

I'm pretty sure the lag isn't mainly from the capes but from the shield buffs they are dispersing amongst themselves. Capes would be rendered clientside and wouldn't cause the sort of delays that are/were common in the valley o' lag.

That said yeah if people's PCs are not top shelf the capes might be causing some framerate issues.

Put it this way, given what BaBs said I'm pretty sure it can't be helping

Back to the Topic...

I tend to agree with the sentiment of the OP.
Banning a singular temp power, one that has to be earned from a challenge in game is not ok.
We play this game hard, and I understand that we find ways to break it you never even imagined... that's what happen when you expose something to the geek hivemind.
However, banning a single EARNED power from a single in game challenge is the start of a horrid precedent and trend. Instead, if we are somehow doing something you didn't expect, give us the reward and make the next challenge even better, even harder, without arbitrarily banning an earned in-game accomplishment.
I have not done the CoP yet, and at this rate probably never will simply because I don't want to participate in portions of my favorite game tainted by the heavy handed nerf bat.
This is a similar attitude that lead to Enhancement Diversification, and other controversial changes in our game. The players aren't doing what we expected and intended, which means they must be wrong...
Please... Give us a little credit as the genius we are for finding a hole in the system, let us have our dinky rewards, and let it go. We WILL keep playing, no matter if I can get a toon to 50 in 2 days, 20 days or 2 months, I would keep playing. I adore this game, it's community and story. Finding a strategy that works, should not be punished...
Thanks,
