Crazy 88's: O & M

I have it on good authority that Granny has made a significant donation, and
that the Crazy 88's have moved into position #9 among Virtue's SGs.

Regards,

PS> @Dreamt: As far as I'm aware, *anyone* can join the Crazy 88's...
Promotions, on the other hand, have Prestige requirements.
But simply joining? No requirements beyond the desire to join are needed (afaik).

I've some RL stuffs that is keeping my in-game time in check currently, though I 'should' have the base done* by the time the Chalet opens.

*a base is never really done IMHO, but you know what I mean
Sorry for the slowness, but I just opened up the 1,000,000 healing badge for Auto-doc/tree of wonders. Don't hold yer breath for the 5mm or 25mm healing badges!

Dreamt: We're giving back to the game. No, seriously, we're lowering average prices [however trivially] by reducing the total amount of inf chasing the same amount of stuff. Think of it as antifarming. If you want to know how to become rich, we can help with that too [although this isn't really the thread for that.]

Mini-guides: Force Field Defenders, Blasters, Market Self-Defense, Frankenslotting.

So you think you're a hero, huh.
@Boltcutter in game.

I get it. I was making fun.

Just because making MY life easier than a trust-fund kiddie would be a much better alternative doesn't mean I don't understand. Sadly the rest of the world does not yet know that they are here for my benefit, so this sort of thing goes on. Everything will be forgiven once I am the Benevelant Tyrant of Earth, except Kevin Stolls from second grade. I will never forgive you Kevin!!!

/random silliness

Though seriously why is this thread on the internal workings of a particular SG on Virtue in the Market section?

It started as a Market Forum project, amongst the market forum regulars....the debate amongst which server happened.....we ended up on Virtue. I think we could move, but then Virtue would know all our secrets and quite frankly, some of the market goers think the market forum is the only COH forum. Kinda like that really bad M Night Shyamalan movie...no, not that one, the other one, not the one yer thinking of though....The Village thats the one.

Although I have only donated 5 billion total (2 directly and 3 indirectly) I have to say the 88s have become one of my favorite parts of this game in many years.

I may have a spare billion under the sofa cushions and be making another small donation soon.

but like they say on Jerry's kids any donation helps even if it is just a billion or two

PS. to the powers that be I am officially requesting my due promotions within the SG, also a key to execituve wash room would be nice ..

PPS. hurry on that last bit I gots to go

Yeah, I guess it is a little off topic, but no one has complained, and since every other thread on this forum generally falls into one of three categories:

A. I can't afford anything and you are evil
B. I can afford everything and I am evil
C. Buy my stuff, evil-doer!

I'm guessing the moderators gave us a pass for being interesting!

Well I always thought it's relevance to this section lay in the fact it was an influence sink (is that the right terminology?) project.

Can we make something to go in our fire pit which looks a bit like a blue centurion?

That is all.

My take on it (the off topic issue), is that it really is a Marketing topic
insofar as:

1> The primary premise is market/inf based - an experiment, if you will, to
see if a group of marketeers can indeed purchase their way to the top and
to guage whether that effort produces any detectable market effects.

2> The vast bulk of the membership of the group is comprised of regulars
in this forum and the bulk of the threads are "financial" in nature (even if
it's just to list project contributions)

3> A secondary purpose for a number of the members is to try to provide,
and encourage a fun, inf sink for players, geared towards mitigating (to
whatever degree possible) perceptions of inflationary market effects.

That said, if somebody (ie. a Mod) felt strongly enough that it should be
moved to the Virtue Forum, I doubt it would cause much angst or uproar.

Still, it seems to me that a bunch of Marketeers are amusing themselves
(and quite a few others, judging by the commentary) with a financial
marketing experiment encased in the form of a SG.
<shrug> works for me

Cheers,
4

PS> @Fulmens: I'd probably put in a plug for a promotion for Granny too
(she's the lowest rank of any contributors over 5M prestige currently)

I'd be up for that. Potlatch is 35 and I just lifted the no xp ban now that he rolled and sold all his hero merit drops.

Granny will cheer you all on from her rocking chair ... and possibly start knitting a quilt
showing all the brave, heroic faces of those taking part...

I might be down for a lowbie TF...of course, I'd have to get out of teh Base long enough to attain the minimum lvl required for such an endeavour

Then again, I'm not sure how much 'help' a human-only PB would be, aside from shooting energy beams out of her eyes, hehe...

guess I'll wrangle that goat* when I get to it

There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. Well... maybe not for the Pit; but, given the right ambient lighting, the Mystic Advisor 'could' look blue... with his arms out to his sides as they are, I 'could' erect a nice little contraption behind it...

Gah! now I have this idea stuck in my head...thanks <.<
