So you can either cope with the market fluctuations on a BARGAIN BIN purple set or use 20 HV merits for each piece you want. 20mil each is very reasonable just for the set bonuses.

How does buying all the recipes and deleting them, causing even less available, make the prices go down? I don't get it. What happened to the whole supply vs. demand argument that the market forum lives by? Now, less product = cheaper? Hmmm. Odd...

The disconnect is that, while most of the market forum isn't really evil, Chaos Creator actively enjoys earning the reputation that marketeers have been saddled with.

To be honest, I haven't seen much from either side that I would have done anything about, were I a mod. I might go as far as occasionally sending people a polite note to ease up a bit.

this is a pretty tame thread. I don't think anyone is really trolling to much.

I know I am never really surprised or offended when someone chimes in with an I hate marketeering comment on a thread discussing some form of market manipulation.

Plus, the whole idea of just burning your influence for the sake of deleting recipes that are saturating a market segment just for fun is kinda humorous. The sleep and confuse drops are so under valued that they really would just be taking up slots any major marketeers would be using to sell things with better margins. The only reason they even sell for what the do is because of the set bonuses, not natural supply and demand.

I am noticing this statement popping up over and over and it amuses me to no end given how the confuses are up to a hundred million now.

Yeah, there's a weird spike going on that makes me think there might be some new MA exploit that requires plugging. Pieces of the purple immobilize set that could be bought for 30-50m last week were going 150-180m last night.

Quick trivia: what new set is the best of the ones released in GR?

And the spike could be all the GR characters getting to 50, sure. It's across all the purples (Apocs other than the triple have hit 600+m, and Hecatombs have climbed back over 300/400 per) as far as I can tell. Seeing that much change in a week, though, makes me wonder.

Plus, it's more fun to be paranoid.

I bought 5 purple recipes... I think it was the Hectacomb proc but don't quote me... at 101 million a piece (put in the bid over 3 weeks ago). I crafted them and sold them for 180 million plus, and I thought I was making good money.

Then, only a day or so after the last one sold, I noticed that the recipe alone was now selling for in excess of 200 million. :P I'm sure it's much worse now.

The good news is, I still have a few purples lying around that I can sell if I want.

Take your word for it. I haven't been able to get in game since last friday due to illness. They are still a bargain purple set even at 100 mil compared to the 200-400mil I last saw for most of the other recipes.
