Updated 7th September 2010: European Going Rogue In-game NPC Design Contest!
While I've got an "But I want to enter!" voice whining in the back of my head, EU really deserves this. Looking forward to see what gets entered.

Good luck to the EU, make a darn interesting NPC
I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.
Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.
So sad to be ending ):
This is completely up to you and don't forget the name will be a big part of the design too. Don't call a beefy, evil, maniacal looking character Teddy Bear or Cuddly Prince...although now that I'm thinking about it, it sounds rather appealing.
Anyway, let your imagination guide your mouse! |
Not currently in the EU, am however an EU resident, will be taking a pop at this one as it's the first time I've seen a bit of a budget being thrown at an EU competition. :P
Wow, cool . I'm so gonna take part .
Bring it on Europe!
Hmm I am a UK resident, but I play on the US servers, I wonder if I can still enter.
I find this absolutely hilarious - in a good way. EU only contest! (From someone in NA.)
Go show 'em what they've been missing, EU folks!
Wanted: Origin centric story arcs.
If you've only played an AT once (one set combo) and "hate" it - don't give up. Roll a different combo. It may just be those sets not clicking for you.
See, now I'm irritated. This is a contest that I'd actually stand a ghost of a chance of winning as it doesn't require you to be an artist like most of the US competitions, and it's only open to the EU players. When does the US get a contest like this?
EDIT - And just to point out, I'm glad the EU got their own contest, just irritated that of all the contests the US players get most require some form of artistic skill of which I am completely devoid. A costume design contest I'd stand a chance at, but we never get stuff like that. *Shrug* Oh well. Have fun with that one EU, and may the best (wo)man win!
First...congrats, people!
Second, and more selfishly, I would rather switch contests with you guys. Grrrr.

Hmm, I can't find anything about this contest on the http://www.onrpg.com website!
Help Dirk Knightly the freelance detective solve a case in Arc ID:368097
So. This contest...
Where? I can't see anything on the site that's apparently for the UK.
The Widow's Dark Hand - leader of Faux Pas
Champion Server
Tee Hee!
Nothing on the german site too
Darn, now I wish I didn't suck at creating costumes
The M.A.D. Files - Me talking about games, films, games, life, games, internet and games
I'm not good at giving advice, can I interest you in a sarcastic comment?
@Lyrik
I saw the news post on Onlinewelten yesterday. Don't know why they have removed it.
So where on the site do we have to go, i searched city of heroes, and design an NPC competition but i have found nothing about it D=
Also this NPC can be pretty much whatever, there are no specific guidelines as to what the NPC has to conform to right??
oh and could we have a little info on this studio 55 thing, wouldn't want to end up making a giant semi-mechanical werewolf if studio 55 is supposed to be a chocolate factory or something...
Still no sign of any info, which is a shame since I now actaully have a concept and character fleshed out XD
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Hi all, there's a little bit of a delay with some of our partners. The OnlineWelten contest is up but we're still waiting for Onrpg and Gamekult to kick theirs off. We'll let you know as soon as it is done!

The European contests are now up on Onrpg, Gamekult and OnlineWelten! And while I don't advise you to create a character that clashes with their surroundings, there is room for originality and creativity, it is Studio 55 after all!

Just checking, is it one entry per person? Or can we enter each of the three contests? (with different characters?)
Thanks
Always remember, we were Heroes.
Well, I'm still waiting the results of the "Rock, Paper, Shotgun" competition.
Announced the 13th of August, but no date limit nor any news about it.
Any dev knows something?
