Can HEATs and VEATs change sides?

Parenthetically, I have to say I find it amusing to say the least, to hear someone complaining about unfriendly denizens on these here boards.

Compared to EVERY other gaming-related board I've ever seen, the regulars here are, as a rule, kind, polite, helpful, and hilarious.

Nothing I've seen in this thread (so far) is budging me an inch from that belief.

But I'd love to visit Sleeping Kitten's regular stomping grounds to romp in the fields of actual sugary sweetness and support.

Where please?

It is not a matter of "having problems" with them, it is simply a matter of ARE THEY THERE?

Don't know how to make it more plain... again, I have not made it to redside, or blueside, with either, I am simply asking the question...

It IS sweet, but I don't have to tell you that...

I have run into Void Hunters spawning along with Longbow and PPD.

Now, here's the funny part. The Longbow or PPD will turn on the Void Hunters and kill them before I arrive. It's quite helpful.

I'm sure it's a bug, but I'm hoping the devs do not devote a lot of time to rushing a fix for it.

Can you give more details please? What level? What zone?

In Tip Missions, levels 20-30 and 30-40. I've been running Vigilante missions with my Warshade, and he runs into Longbow all the time.

I'll have to run more missions on the redside now that I have gone Vigilante, but I'm suspecting they do show up over there.

I figured you must be having problems with Void dudes based on this...

"can a PB or WS run them with no fear of Void hunters??"
"would be nice not to have to worry about them"

I have seen them often during my PB & WS switch from hero to vill side mishs. Can't give you specifics where exactly I found them b/c I thought about them as much as a Mook Gunner.

You "figured" wrong pilgram, since I have stated multiple times that I have not been in the situation you describe... I am simply asking a question...

Quants are actually existing parts of the various factions. When the mission is getting the mob data to populate the map, it checks to see if there is (or was*) a Kheldian on the team. If the flag is true, then it adds the Quants to the list of mobs to draw from. If it's false, then it ignores the Quants.

You can see what mobs have Quants by going to any Architect Entertainment building, and choosing to create a custom enemy group. Choose to populate it with Standard foes, and look at each faction, one by one.

* For whatever reason, when a team has a Kheldian, the flag is set to True. However, when the Kheldian is no longer a part of the team, the flag does not reset to False. Disbanding and reforming the team will reset it to False.

Khelds have cooties. It's not hard to understand.

Man, I really was not expecting to see two pages of this thread when I came back.

The SoA one seems especially odd to me... Soldiers of Arachnos... who are good guys. Mind you, the very idea behind an SoA character is he's already breaking free from what's expected of him, so maybe it's not so weird. But it would be fun if they had Arachnos agents/assassins hunting them hero-side the same way Quants and Voids hunt khelds. After all, I'd think Recluse would be a little miffed at them running around Paragon in their Arachnos armor/outfits. ^_^
If I remember the story for the SoAs correctly, You've pretty much giving Arachnos the finger the whole time anyway. Though, I could be remembering wrong.

It's actually quite easy to imagine a story reason for this. The void seekers want to eliminate anyone who is or has had contact with the Khelds, for example.

I didn't perceive the levity, either. I just thought you were being obnoxious and inferring incompetence on the part of the person 'threatened' by void hunters.

Serious question to posters following me: Would you have taken what I said seriously enough to be offended by it, like Evil_Gump appears to have been?
No. I would just write it off as obnoxious behavior. There's certainly no shortage of that here or in any other part of life. If you let these things bother you, you'll just get ulcers.

Hey, this thread is up top again. Woo.

Back on topic:
My Crab is a full hero.
My PB is a full villain. Quantums, Voids, and other PB entities spawn redside.

Sorry, but you really can't tell people you aren't worried about them when you indeed, said, you don't want to have to worry about them.

THAT being said, Quant's basically "hide" in with factions when khelds are included, so yes, they'll be red side.

Don't worry, though

There a number of blueside factions where possessing anti-Kheldian weaponry doesn't make much sense. In the cases where there is no "Quantum Blah" to spawn the game adds a Void Seeker/Void Hunter/Void Stalker/Shadow Cyst to the group.

i've seen this in the Rogue Isles as well with the zone spawns as recently as yesterday. Void Seekers milling about with Scrapyarders and Mooks. Few things look as out of place as a Void Seeker chilling with a bunch of guys in flannel and jeans.

This is why I wish they would phase out the whole quantum/void/cyst thing after level 20. They aren't much of a challenge anymore, and it is always immersion breaking for me to see the voids mixed in with the non-human villain groups like the Redcaps or the Devouring Earth.

Now if they would replace the random void spawn with an ambush group that announces itself with "There he is! Get him!" that would fit better. Then they would be intruders and not trying to blend in.

I imagine they can run the arcs... but I would assume that they don't have access to the actual powers.
