With how little I pay attention to these boards and by proxy any posts you make, I have decided to agree with you! It's a terrible idea, but I have a better one!

We'll call it the Shia Happy Imagination Tour!

What we'll do is we'll get together once a month and all draw things in the same subject together, thus touring the imaginary art world together in a happy manner, hand in hand! It can't fail!

My last FArt submission was a 5 page comic that dealt with Chloe trying to right a grave injustice. There was nothing racy or edgy in it.

If you mean my current submission let me say I presume Caemgen's statement (which you are attempting to rebut) refers to my history on this forum when he says I'm not known for being racy. I have a body of work consisting of over 100 pieces which you could look through to establish what my history here is.

I also have almost 50 pieces on DA too. You know Deviant Art, the site where you can post damn near anything short of an outright sexual act (sometimes even those slip through) and get away with it, what do you see in my gallery there? Disney cartoon characters from the Lion King and Lilo and Stitch side by side with City of Heroes gift art with some Dragons and StarWars stuff thrown in. You've seen tons of my artwork VexXxa how would you characterize my history?

@Johnnykat: For those that want a short version of what I'm about to say here it is.
--------------------------------------------------------------
You're wrong Johnnykat.

A lot.

What qualifies and what doesn't qualify for this contest is not your decision to make.

Who should win the contest is not your decision to make.
--------------------------------------------------------------
For those who want the line by line break down of just how wrong he is read on for the list...

Despite what you publicly state I don't like doing this (you have no idea what I like or do not like, stop visiting my intentions with baseless accusation) and I generally do my best to ignore the sheer volume of wrongness in your posts (factual, contextual, semantic etc etc etc) but every so often it gets to be too much in one confined space or you direct it at me forcing me to respond. So as to not further depress the thread though lets try it with a bit of humor.

Lets play a little game of "How many times can Johnnykat be wrong in one thread."

1. Tirade: She called it a tirade because... it reads like a tirade. (look it up if you don't know the meaning).

2. Dismiss: Her post was not a dismissal it was a correction... you had your facts wrong... again.

3. Disclaimer: It was not a disclaimer either since she did not deny you a claim (she just pointed out you were wrong) nor is she revoking responsibility or affiliation with your words nor is she limiting the scope of a contractual obligation.

4. Classic: It was not a classic example of anything.

5. LoL: I doubt you truly laughed out loud. (yes this last one was teh jokez... let's call it 4½ )

All that was just one sentence. Slow down man are going for a record or something?

6. "Fair enough, in regards to Tartar" Fair enough is something I say when I make a point and someone else has a compelling counter point. What actually happened here is you were wrong yet again and never bothered to even check your facts before spouting misinformation if that's what it means to you then yeah... fair enough.

7. Bonus wrong! His name is Tartyrsause. You repeatedly call him "Tartar" which isn't even a correct abbreviation of his spelling... it's a condiment.

8. What you claim is a Nipple: It's not.
You're referring to the dark line along her right micro-kini strap I take it? ahhh but you know her left micro-kini strap has a dark line along it's outside border too, it's up near her hair, but I don't see you mentioning that one... I guess by your incredible "dark line near the bikini edge must be a nipple" logic her left nipple must be sticking out of her shoulder then. I think you and the shaper are seeing what you want to see.

9. "Shia through attrition and adherence to the rules should just have this FArt title now.": Wrong. I have broken no rules this month. Furthermore you are not the FArt administrator Johnnykat, you do not get a say in the outcome any more than I do. Despite your declaring it, your statement is really just your own flawed opinion. That and $3 will get you a latte.

10. "Ironic your burned-out theme sort of summarizes how this year's FArt burned out." This is not irony. I'm guessing you thought you were pointing out Situational Irony (since Pyro's statement is not even close to Tragic, Socratic or any other form of irony) but this result is not an unexpected surprise contrary to what everyone thought would happen... to some it was not only expected but predicted pretty much from the beginning.

11. Bonus Wrongsauce! Burned-out ≠ Fire Sale. The two have very different meanings

12. " I find it even more irritating when someone instigates the situation and then retaliates and complains about it even though they originally instigated it. And you know who you are." BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Wait really... your not joking here? Come on you cannot be serious! The best recent example of someone doing this is YOU Johnnykat.

Have you forgotten YOU were the one responsible for the Bayani flame boot incident? You were the both the creator of the piece/source of the problem and the instigator. Ring any bells?
Also you keep mentioning it over and over and over and over again.

You find it irritating? Now that IS ironic. Lol!
(and yes I really laughed out loud )

P.S. Hey didn't you like already quit the contest n' stuff?

If your popcorn was ready months ago wouldn't it be stale by now.

I dare say Caemgen knows me better currently than you ever will.
TLDR

oh wait my names included suddenly im intrested

Lets see a art competition thread where everyones at each others throats , heck for a thread that good id happily share my stale popcorn .

nom nom nom nom nom nom

Your acronym is problematic.

So basically, the short point of that tldr rebuttal to the simple inquiry of whether or not the image in question is inappropriate is:

"You're wrong Johnnykat.

A lot.

What qualifies and what doesn't qualify for this contest is not your decision to make.

Who should win the contest is not your decision to make."

OK, fair enough. But, that's not really answering the question - that's just more-or-less mudslinging to avoid the question. Even the written disclaimer (or whatever you want to call it) while informative, doesn't seem to "cover" the "exposure" that is happening in the image.

Ultimately, there is a really easy way to solve this instead of all this going back and forth. Just ask a Mod. If the Mod feels this is kosher to post here, then the situation is diffused and that's that - so what is the problem again?

..err.. I would prefer the NICE mod people not focus there lovely eyes in this direction as most all of my art commonly features nude women or clothed women that I would perfer to be nude, or men that I would perfer to be women that I would perfer to be unclothed.. unless its just a picture of me, then a simple speedo thong and a smile is all you need

@Johnnykat: Telling someone they are making numerous errors ≠ (does not equal) mudslinging.
Also I'm not avoiding the question at all I just realize I am in no position to to make an official ruling on it.

Neither are you. Neither is a mod.

Asking for a mod's perspective is just a diversion as he/she could only give their opinion the same as you could... and it would be equally useless in deciding this contest.
It is for the FArt admin alone to decide.

You seem not to understand this though as you don't say "you think" Shia should win or present what you think you see to Wassy and leave it at that, instead you declare that Shia should indeed have already won. By the time you get around to saying "in my opinion", in parenthesis... at the end, you are already speaking in past tense and congratulating him on his victory like it's a forgone conclusion... that somehow because you declare it's over, it must be over. Your flawed opinion has no bearing here.

So I say again you are wrong and it is not your decision to make.

Next month's theme is ribbons.

I'm taking Pyro's concession as making CR vs. Shia as the final fight.

As CR pointed out with an earlier post, he clearly meant to cover everything up in such a way that everything naughty was covered, but just enough. Depending on how you see things, it can go one way or another, but even through the back-and-forth... it was ambiguous line choices and not an attempt to show more than he should have.

If anyone doesn't like it, too bad. You can either do this final ribbony theme or not. There's not money or a prize on the line, and I don't think the street cred is really going to shoot the winner to fame or fortune, either. CR should advance for his immunity, I saw no malicious intent to break the rules in his entry, and Shia should advance for his wonderful entry, regardless of Pyro's concession.

------

Also, I will not be around for this last fight, so hopefully CR and Shia can play nice on their own. I'm not going to be renewing my sub when it runs out here soonish. A couple weeks ago I was alerted to an incredible opportunity on campus this year. There was an unexpected opening on the Board of Trustees for the Student Trustee. The Student Trustee is a full member of the board, with all the voting rights and responsibilities of every other board member. The position is in existence to make sure that the student voice is adequately represented to the highest decision-making entity at the college.

This past Thursday I was elected by Student Congress to fill this post.

Besides classes and work, my weekdays now are also full of office hours for this position, and regular meetings with much of the administrative staff. I also have duties as an officer of Phi Theta Kappa, and really must keep my weekends for commission work with as few distractions as possible. So the CoH subscription is going to lapse.

I'll still be around via dA, and none of my contact info has changed.

Sad to see you go Wassy but happy you have such a great opportunity. Best of luck to you and thanks for hosting this year's FArt, drama and all!

And as a parting act, she makes Mel splurt.

Well, who doesn't like ribbons? That and I thought it was fitting (blue ribbon, winning ribbon, ribbons supporting causes). It was better than what I was mulling over, anyway

And thank you. I'm excited for the work ahead this upcoming academic year.

Also not that I WOULD, but just the fact that I COULD make a motion before the board to fire everyone in the Financial Aid department if they ever screw with me again makes me giggle with maniacal laughter a couple times a day now.

Grats on the opportunity Wassy. Regardless of any of our meaningless drama on the boards here, it's genuinely nice to hear that someone manage to snag a good position in RL. Go kick some bootah.

Awesome Wassy, glad for you

Also... ribbons yay!
I know a certain catgirl who gets tangled up in them!

Congrats Wassy. Despite all the board nonsense I wish you nothing but good fortune in that thing called Real Life. Hopefully you have success and happiness together in both your personal and professional life.

And when you return (for everyone returns eventually) I'm sure we'll be able to find something new to bicker over

Congratulations Wassy that is great RL news indeed. Go get em girl.

However it's sad news for this forum (you will be missed) and for this contest though. Most of the artists that should be competing have dropped and if the host/admin that is in charge of running the whole thing is leaving now too, then that to me says contest over. I take Wassy's official ruling to mean that my piece this month constitutes a valid entry so my immunity stands.
I wouldn't choose a win by default but it's better than nothing.

Thanks to all who participated/voted/followed along and I hope we have a better go of it next year (if there is a FArt next year... perhaps an art jam is the way to go).

My apologies to Toxic Shia for an anti-climatic ending.

This year's contest is ruled as a No-Contest, but since Sept's theme is ribbons, then I declare myself the winnar. Always bet on Suichiro.
