Would anyone else like all TF's option at lvl 50

I was wondering if anyone else would like to be able to run all the TF at lvl 50, meaning take a lvl 50 toon and run say Moonfire, at lvl 50.

Would it be fun? Could it be done? What are your thoughts?

Do you realize that most of the lower lever opponents don't scale up to level 50? Sure they could scale them with the GM monster code but a level 20 NPC will still only have the powers available to him at level 20. That's woefully underpowered compared to a level 50.

And since there would be no risk involved there wouldn't be any reward to be earned.

Why bother? You still earn XP and inf and get drops when you're exemped. And yeah, most low-level mobs simply don't scale up to 50.

Ahh good point I didnt think about the enemy not being able to go to lvl 50, or the powers. Was just a thought, had nothing else better to do at work lol.

This, it means you actually have to think about your build, and not necessarily just slot level 50 IOs to keep your set bonuses.

Rokig: Were you around in, I think it was October '04, when they opened up the Shadow Shard and level 18 Ruularuu were cruising the streets of Steel Canyon?

It isn't any more of a fair fight when you're the level 50 and the NPC's are balanced for level 18.

This is a very easy game, especially in the upper levels, but it's still trying to be some sort of game; that is, there's some attempt at challenge.

Let's say a level 25 broadsword/invuln scrapper is somewhat balanced against... I don't know, warriors.

Now let's crank that scrapper up to level 50. They will get the following additional tools:
1. Disembowel.
2. Headsplitter.
3. Unyielding.
4. Invincibility.
5. Weave.
6. OVER FORTY SLOTS.
7. Ranged AOE attacks.
8. 10% more benefit per slot from IO's (32% at level 25 is 42.4% at level 50.)

The warriors get:

0. Nothing.

Just take your level 50 to Perez and slap greys around. It's not going to be any different.

So you think you're a hero, huh.

I'm going to say it's an interesting idea, but the problem with mobs scaling makes it impractical.

Now something like Sister Psyche that's all Freakshow could work since they exist as level 50 mobs but Synapse? Clockwork stop at level 20 unless you'd substitute the Psychic Clocks in the upper 40's arcs.

So interesting, but without revamping all the villain groups to span all levels it'd lead to several TF's being cakewalks thanks to weak enemies.

You get drops, but exemplared down they are going to be nearly worthless and the inf you get from kills and missions is negligible. Most importantly, you have no chance for purple drops.

I get the technical limitations, but I do think it's unfortunate, because that makes a lot of content that I just plain have no use for once I hit 50 - the time to reward ratio goes completely out of whack.

Plus I spent all that time leveling and kitting out the character because I wanted to use all those powers.

Are you unfamiliar with merits?

Also, some people actually play for fun but vOv. ymmv etc

The level of the enhancements aren't an issue. It's the number of powers and slots that are unabalanced. Remember the OP didn't ask about about exemplaring down to the appropriate level, he was asking about running all TF's at level 50.

Mid-level (drops from enemies levels 25-40) common salvage sells for a minimum of 10-50k on the market. You can make *millions* from some recipes in the 30-35 range. This is because supply is low while demand is high - cut down the supply and you get even *higher* prices. Bad idea.

I think this would be cool if any enemy groups involved had their level 50 equivalents used (or created) for this sort of thing. I would provide a lot more variety at endgame for players who want to use their top level characters _at_ endgame.

Actually people would complain that the devs were lazy for not making new endgame content and wasted their time. Anyone not agreeing would get called fanbois.

WHAT HE SAID :-D

Beside I find it most satisfying to pull out my 50 level MM or Crab and do a Tarikoss SF .. getting thousands in INF to defeat the same Boss I got hundreds from when I did it at the actual SF level is SOOOO much fun LOL With the new SSF system in place sure you lose powers when you exempt down but you keep right on earning like your a level 50.. what needs to change? :-D

I would love if we'd be able to play at level 50. I'd certainly play lower level TF's a lot more. Of course, they would have to make the enemies more difficult or else it'd essentially be a joke.

The option to scale all TFs up to Level 50 is positively brilliant.
A great idea which would add tremendously to the enjoyment of the game.
Be prepared to be flamed into charcoal by all the fanboys howling about why it shouldn't or can't be done; translation: They don't think anyone else should be able to enjoy the game any way but their way.
In any case, GREAT idea!

How about we can run all the TFs at 50, but if the enemies don't exist at 50 (Vahz, Clockwork, etc) they get changed into Malta? That would be a good challenge for 50s that they would enjoy!

...I forgot what experience means.

You all have really great points as to why it shouldnt happen, and few that agree with me that it would be fun. If it was scalable to lvl 50. It was just a idea that poped into my head, doesnt mean its was a good one, reason I asked for comments and feedback.

Personally if we could do it i would enjoy it!

My idea behind it was you had to run the real version first.
You dont collect the badges for doing it as a lvl 50 since you already got the badge at the lower lvl.
Was just kind of going for something that lvl 50s could do with full powers, and more content that wouldnt take alot of writing to get something out.

Thanks for your feed back guys, keep it coming.
