Theory on future content (Speculation ahoy!)
This is the only way I'd accept a Praetorian Hamidon raid/event. We already have two Hami raids where we fight an amoeba. I'd like to see something new and interesting. And if it has to involve Hamidon, a non-amoeba Hamidon would be much better.

Hopefully they'll remember that not every hero or villain who runs it is against all that Cole stands for. It would be rather a letdown after the intelligent narratives of GR to have a TF/SF that expects every participant to be gung ho about taking on the Praetorians to nobly save Primal Earth. It'd be nice if any future TF didn't revert back to the original portrayal of Praetoria as the evil goattee universe.
I believe our next major, future content will be a raid dealing with Tyrant himself.

That said, my still loyal to Praetoria hero will welcome any opportunity that comes along to bust into the BAF and take down Mother Mayhem. It would be good to be able to fulfill Kang's last request.

I think Hamidon exists in Praetoria (those of us who have been in the sewer system there have heard something down there, I have no idea what), but after a nuclear holocaust where Praetoria may be the only city on the planet?
It's way way more than an amoeba. I like to think of the phrase 'The Coming Storm' as a perfect storm. One that has the very worst elements blended together in the most perfect way. When the stories of the survivors of the Shadow Shard tell you that Rularuu broke his world...and Praetorian Earth came so close to being broken....I look at Rularuu...and Hamidon. Food for thought.... |

I was thinking there would be another "faction choice" in the future. ie: Support Ouroboros or "The Letter Writer's" Teams against The Coming Storm. (And more than likely each other)

as it turns out, the raid will be a multiple mission raid, task force like, with 50 participants. the first few missions are alignment ambiguous but hint at something else. where was cole before hamidon went apecrap? the hamitorian became incarnate with cole's help! <ohno's> forcing loyalist and resistance into an uneasy truce to settle hamitor down once and for all, or maybe just now. it ends in a pvp brawl of resistance/loyalist/hero/villain in one big free for all time in the replacement of cole as poobah of praetoria and a slightly altered version of scorched earth destiny.
this should satisfy even the most hardened doom player.
/what? it could happen ;p
Kittens give Morbo gas.
Ya know, I saw a picture of Praetorian Hamidon on one of the various billboards throughout Imperial City, and although it was just a silhouette, he kinda reminded me of this.

Statesman and Recluse are bad enough. We don't need any more actual humans with even more insane power levels. The way newer content has been presented, it makes us look like the big heroes. In tip missions we constantly run into heroes and villains who are on par with us. The new signature characters are on par with us. In Maria's new arc the Freedom Phalanx acknowledge us as big-time heroes in our own right. Upgrading a character, and a parallel version of a character in our world at that, to be so powerful he requires more than one team of us to defeat would be a huge step back.
Rularuu and Hamidon and Leviathan and their ilk are a different story. You ain't gonna solo Cthulhu, I don't care how good your build is. He's freakin' Cthulhu. Those are global threats, the kind heroes traditionally team up to take down. So we could have a raid-type event involving the Leviathan, Merulina, Shiva, or the guys who use Kheldians as rocket fuel. A raid style event in Praetoria could involve either the Hamidon or a whole lot of War Walkers. Tyrant himself is just a powerful guy, on par with Statesman, and should stay that way; it's his legions of killer robots that are the threat.
