Seeing Nightfall just nixed the idea of Dark Blast ever coming to Blasters (for now)
aoe immobs for blasters
AR/Dev with Mace will be a lot better now. AoE Immob for Ignite (unless they give it the Burn fix and remove the Fear out of it), and add in S/L cap to my Rng/AoE capped defenses so melee isn't as dangerous either. Losing Cryo Freeze Ray is acceptable.

Some of these choices are just very odd and seem almost OPd in some places and meh in others. I think this may be one of the few instances where PPPs will be more popular than APPs

I was thinking of these changes to the PPP for blasters and I was thinking if a Blaster can farm better now. If you think about a squishy farmer some think if a fire control controller or a fire control dom. What do they have that makes them a good farmer? Immob, Stun, AoE Damage. I was thinking a fire/elec/Soul mastery blaster might be able to farm. I know it might not be the best, but it might work.
1. Buff Up: Build Up + Aim
2. Immob: Tenebrous Tentacles
3. Stun Chain: Oppressive Gloom (Mag 2)+ Lightning Clap (Mag 2) + Thunder Strike (Mag 2)= Mag 6 stun
4. Attack Chain: Fire Ball + Fire Breath + RoF + Night Fall
5. Repeat if needed.
lvl 50 - Elec/WP/Mu Mastery Stalker, lvl 50 - Dark/EA/Soul Mastery Stalker, lvl 50 - EM/Nin/Soul Mastery Stalker

Sonic/Mental/Soul has the potential for 4 cones, while immobilizing the entire spawn and debuffing their resistance.
Well, most sets can have 4 cones now (Sonic can actually have 6, but 2 of them aren't very useful for damage)

Didn't see it but that was a godawful long thread.
I'm just upset that blasters aren't getting shadowmeld the way were supposed to.
My Ice/MM/Cold is definitely changing to Mace. Good-bye chunky Ice Armour, welcome stylish Scorpion Shield! All this while freeing one or two powers and not causing major build changes. I like.

Sexy purple aura S/L def shield in one power pick over unflattering hip expanding cyber-ice blocks combined with a side order of Snow Storm or Flash Freeze? Shaking and crying right now.
Not to mention the fun of Web Envelope + Blizzard... 
It also makes Rain of Fire a bit more useful.

My main toon, a Fire/Fire/Cold blaster is most probably switching to Mace Mastery for Web Envolop and Scorpion Shield. Web Envelop + HotFeet + Rain of Fire + Burn on my already effin' crazy AoE damage with Build Up + Aim + Fireball + Fire Sword Circle on crazy recharge just makes me drool. I hardly ever use Hibernate in PvE as is, and I ever so rarely PvP. But still can be fixed easily with a phase shift power from WW.

Electrifying Fences for my E^3 blaster would be great, it's a farming build(yes I farm with it) and every time I drain a mob they scatter. Would definitely be a nice choice...

Rule number six of an empathy defender is NEVER underestimate a blaster's ability to die. I don't care if he has CM, Fort, both RAs, bubbles (both FF and Sonic), and is fighting next to a Storm defender with hurricane on. If there is a way to die in that situation, the blaster will find it.
