I have a couple of friends who may be interested in seeing the "new" City of Heroes after Going Rogue comes out. Are there any plans for a re-up or free weekend to coincide with this launch?

And yes, I have everything I care about from the list. The costume codes are merely "neat-o" to me. Put them in the store. Have contests for t-shirts, posters and drink glasses. Put THOSE in the store, too.
NCSoft "marketing" asked what we thought would bring more players to CoH, while basically ignoring what existing players wanted to be able to buy, rather than only seeing it at M&Gs and (now non-existent) HeroCons. Money is money. Getting freebies of stuff I *can* pay still qualifies as a prize.
How is this equation difficult?

Why is it that people insist on every contest, promotion, etc., being aimed squarely at their personal "fun zone?" If this giveaway doesn't appeal to you, so what? It wasn't meant for people that already have all that stuff in the first place. No big deal. You lose nothing.
Loose --> not tight.
Lose --> Did not win, misplace, cannot find, subtract.
One extra 'o' makes a big difference.
So can someone show me a pic of the PPD hardsuit costume 'power'?
I don't understand why they don't just randomly email active players the code...like a lotto.

There's a link here to a Dev Diary of Going Rogue. If you comment (after signing in to an account) on where you would go in real life if you had a jet pack, then you get entered in a contest for a Jet pack and/or a free Going Rogue code!

How about instead of these give-a-ways, you add some of these costumes powers to the NcSoft Store.
I'm not a costume junkie, but I know I'd spend 4.99 per costume power that intrest me.

I'm glad to hear that so many people on the forums don't need these codes and/or don't want to participate. That will ever so slightly increase my chances of finally, finally getting one of those booster sets that I don't have yet (assuming, of course, that the booster is what gets offered.)

As long as all of these prize choices get added to the Forum Games contests here on the forums that have been taking place for months (Search a Word, Screenshot the Spot and Caption Contest) during this promotion, I can handle that; the ones ran here every Mon, Wed & Fri take some sort of skill or creativity to complete... the Facebook and Twitter ones are basically "the fastest typist with the fastest Internet connection wins".
And to the person who compared these contests to radio giveaways, at least with radio giveaways you can be the 34th caller to win if that is who they are looking for; the FB/Twitter giveaway is akin to always having to be the first caller and your radio reception has to be faster than anyone else's to get a shot.

Personally, I think it's a cool idea. I severely doubt I'll be one to get any of the prizes.
I feel sorry for NC Soft that they give people an opportunity to win free stuff, but all they get is complaints that it isn't as good as it could possibly be.

There's no way that I'm gonna win any of these, but I'm still going to try. :-) While I'm sorry for everyone who already has all of the booster packs and item packs and costume packs, I'm certainly looking forward to the 1:1000000 chance that I'm going to have to start catching up to everyone else as far as in-game items goes. :-)
We complain because WE are the people who already paid for these booster packs. Besides, 1 code? Why not 5 or 10? It's not like they're losing money on this investment.
Personally, I have all the boosters.
