I am very aware of the deadline ticking away and am hard at work on a mini-comic.
I figure I can always enter a lesser (read: truncated version of the story) entry
if I cannot complete it in time but I'm thinking go big or go home. 
Brief summation: One of my best known mains Chloe Macomber is attempting to do a retcon of Issue 5 the Forrest of dread. Both because it brought her lands into this reality and stranded her people here with the Redcaps their sworn enemies and because the enormous amount of power the event took had to come from somewhere and (in my story anyway) that somewhere is the super powered beings of Paragon... which would explain the depowering that happened (read: fricken crapload of nerfs 
) during that issue and shortly there after.
She hopes to be able to send her people home and seal away the Redcaps for good while restoring powers to the heroes that lost them.
This will come at great personal expense unfortunately as this will undo her history as well where she gained her dark powers (from the Dark Servant that answered her call) and her radiant powers +control of the Shivans (from the day the meteors fell in Bloody Bay) and her epic battle with her younger sister Mary in the trial of 10 where she won the right to wear the witches hat and went on to retake control of the Cabal (a retcon in itself).
The ritual, if successful, would revert her to an underpowered "normal" witch, put her back under her sisters cruel thumb
and cause all the friends she has made along the way to have no memory that she ever existed... regardless she is determined to try.
The last several weeks have been spent planning and collecting lore/info needed and also on page layout and writing out the verbal story itself...
now in the final stretch I'm trying to draw the art for 1-2 panels a day and if I can keep up this pace it should work out fine.

This world requires a mechanism to prevent scenes of child abuse. Having them grow up quickly when under attack might send the wrong message. Perhaps just give them orbital laser support.

P.S. not that it's critical to the piece (it covers the retcon just fine either way) but I don't think the hands in that position would cast that shadow (yes I've seen the youtube video)... instead of the index and middle fingers making up the ears the middle and ring fingers should be the ears and the index should stick out and bend back in to form the nose and eye of the bunny.

I WISH I had an idea I could change up. The only stuff I can think of which might work is already too similar to other peoples 
Has anyone hit on what if Recluse became the patriotic hero and statesmen became the villain? I know Praetorian Statesman in the current deminsion is technically a villain but you know what I mean....
@Frost: Think man, surely there must have been a time while playing where you though... If only this part of the story had happened this way instead... or something to that effect.
Anything story related you desperately want to change to suit your tastes? (UP n' Away burger now serves Chinese takeout instead?)
Anything that is good can be written as evil instead or vice/versa. (States is really a tyrannical bully... oh wait that's been done. )
Anything old can be made new. (All "cars from the 70's" are banned by the city official and replaced with SUV's, hybrids and vehicles people actually wouldn't mind being caught dead in.)
Anything ultra rare could be made commonplace. (suddenly all the civilians have powers... "you can only lift a 100 giga-bigga-tons??? stand aside hero let me show you how that's done!")
Anything rediculous in the game can be made sane/rational or vice/versa. (Suddenly the powers that be figure out they had it wrong from the beginning... when a civilian walking along "bumps" into a hero THEY ARE THE ONES TO GET KNOCKED ASIDE, NOT THE HERO WHO IS MADE OF SOLID EFFIN' GRANITE... ahem sorry, pet peeve. )
Anything seemingly innocuous could secretly be a front for great ebil. (Paragon Cleaners are secretly behind the rash of villains hiding out in the sewers to increase profits on hero outfit dry cleaning?)
Anything large could be made small. (Citadel is really just an angry midget in a suit! That explains a lot.)
Anything figurative could be made literal. (Icon really does charge an arm... and a leg! They are in fact secretly supplying body parts to the Vahzilok)
Ok most of these are terribly silly ideas (and may not acutually fit the retcon theme) lol but hopefully it will get you thinking creatively... or at least get a chuckle.
P.S. Meanwhile my entry still remains a bunch of random seeming images that I am frantically
trying to tie together into something remotely resembling a cohesive story... I'm not quite in panic mode... yet.

Well - here's my FAIL!
If I'd completed it, it would have had a title like: "Issue # 32 - The TRUTH Finally Revealed!" (Subtitle: They've Been Here All Along)
(There'd be more NPC's - and I'd probably zoom in more - the NPC's are supposed to all have just pulled off rubber masks, revealing they've been Rikti all along. But, hadda give priority to some r-l stuff (good stuff) and so none of the great, wonderous-ness of the concept will have to wait.)

I just got an idea, but need to confirm a detail. Am I right that Ms. Liberty is actually much older than her appearance? I looked up but wasn't able to find her actual age, the only clue being Statesman is her grandfather and he's been around for a long time. Or am I confusing her with Sister Psyche, whose bio states that "she does not age physically while in another's mind"?
If they both are much older than they look, who do you guys think is a better symbol for timeless beauty?
It's Statesman that is very old. Due to the Well of the Furies/Incarnate power, he doesn't age normally. Ms. Liberty's mother (Miss Liberty) is available to fight redside, in the Mender TF that takes place in 1963. There isn't a mention of Miss Liberty's daughter in that TF, so most folks assume Ms. Liberty was born after that.
Sister Psyche is supposed to be something like 90 years old.
