Hehehe Okay I HAD to check back and see what the answer was. That does sould like fun.

I like playing "let's you and him fight" by leading hostile NPCs into to each other and watching them fight. The Ghost of Scrapyard is the best for this since his massive mob of scrapyarders have linked aggro. It really works well in Potter's Field because there are so many NPCs there. Just a couple taunts and pretty soon the entire area is one big war zone.

The AE is great for making huge NPC battles as well. Pick a huge outdoor map, add the maximum amount of patrols possible, split the patrols evenly between enemy and rogue, crank it up to an 8 man spawn, and watch the massive battles as the patrols run into each other.

Quick answer is "if I find it fun, by definition it's rewarding," but I know what you mean.

Hmm.
Costumes (Have to get it just ri... what do you mean they're releasing new pieces?)
RP
Coming up with bios.
Finding the most awful puns I can for names.
Tormenting friends with the same (as well as other places in game. Sure, the Tsoo are easy to come up with comments. Then there's "Hey, think for breakfast they serve Malta Meal?" Or after KB'ing a Cimeroran off a bridge - "Hey, I didn't know the Romans had flight Cims...")

I found a really fun way to make huge riots in the AE - give every enemy in the patrols Gang War and Mass Confusion. You end up with a gigantic mob of dudes wailing on each other with whatever they can get their hands on - and I haven't tried it with 8 man spawn yet either!

Cim? Nice pun, but is that how it's pronounced? I've been saying kim-eh-ROR-uh.

I pronounce it Sigh-more-ah. I'm probably saying it wrong though, I can't say Ouroboros either

(or spell it...)

Oh, one of the fun things I do is entirely useless...scouting around to find out where each of my characters live.

Also fun but of really no point to anyone but me, I created an incredibly over-detailed and anal retentive timeline for all my Victory characters.

Dec out.

I still like Hellion Skeet Shooting better.

On a similar note, I like using Haymaker on my tank on stuff in AP, and seeing how high I can get them in the air. Bonus fun for somewhat higher levels that get knocked up but survive the first blow (barely) and I can take them out with Laser Beam Eyes before they hit the peak of their "flight".

I've always thought it was Sim-eh-roar-ah.

And just use Oreo portal, like I do. mmm...Oreos.

I'd like to third this. I love going to mercy with my /psy dom and using TK thrust (5 KB IOs) to literally launch mobs farther than I can see. I try to aim them at Kalinda sometimes, raining ragdolls down on new players.

I also love hunting for holes in the map. The devs have closed off many of my old ones but I can still wiggle under Atlas and get inside one of the radar towers in RWZ.

I like to check out players' character info. If I see a cool or funny looking character in my vicinity I'll check their info. I look at their badge total and if they have a bio I'll read it, sometimes even pm them if I like it. So just know that @Angryellow may be watching you

the 2 strongest AVs that are in the AE that we can use are the dr aeon AV from STF and zenflower from what ive seen (zenflower owned recluse and several other AVs, the only one she lost to was dr aeon, dr aeon could literally kill anything, even GMs before they got put into their own category)

1) I like methodically crushing hordes of enemies, over and over again, whether its for loot or not. Of course, it usually is, but the crazy over the top number of foes and huge teams where you just repeatedly faceroll bad guys ... or sometimes they faceroll you if you aren't careful ... well I love it. I love repetition if its something I like. WAY back in the day, I was the guy who would just pick a block in Brickstown, or a huge warehouse, and go around it in a square over and over for 5 real life hours or more, just grinding. Whack, Whack, Whack. Frankly, I love repetition. It just so happens that repetition can be lucrative, but hey, I know what I like.

2) I like fighting statues, so I love running on all-controller teams. The mechanics of control are my absolute #1 favorite thing. I love neutering the effectiveness of the bad guys (so debuffs count also). I should really probably list this at #1 except this list is in an arbitrary order.

3) I like making costumes. I spend a lot of time in the costume creator.

4) I like planning out cool builds that interest me, and implementing them (getting them to 50, and getting them IOed, and playing them along the way). Build planning is half the fun of the game to me. I love to see a good character plan come together. Of course, this ends up bringing me full circle back to #1.

Hellion Golf definitely.

Using Whirlwind. This is one power that is now completely useless (used to be very useful) but I still take it just to stand by trees/dumpsters/cash machines/mailboxes with it turned on.

I don't have much spare time these days so I'm less inclined to indulge my non goal-oriented impulses.

One thing I still do that I get a kick out of is wildly overpay for 'junk' salvage. It tickles my fancy to imagine the reaction of the player who sells a circuit board for 500k or a million.

I still sometimes flip uncommon salvage, which I guess is rewarding in the sense that I make a profit, but it isn't an efficient use of limited market slots. But again, it tickles me to buy something for 5k and sell it for 100k, often as soon as I list it.

Back in the day when big teams street sweeping or hunting kraken in Perez was all the rage I'd head over with my high level emp and run around buffing, healing and rez'ing the lowbies. After that died out I'd take him into the sewers and run the same deal.

It's hard for me ignore a mugger or vandal in Atlas, whatever level my character is.

I thought I was the only one who did Sniper Hunting. Even more fun with my AR blaster where I can play "Elite Assassin" in my mind.

I once used my 48 Earth controller to fire off Stalagmites on a group of 5th Column in Steel Canyon and they wandered back and forth in a dazed row for what felt like an impossibly long time. Naturally, once they finally came to I had to do it again. And again...

People watching in Atlas Park is relaxing sometimes. I also enjoy costume contests (even if I usually don't win) just for the social atmosphere.

Running along the monorail lines for as long as I can before I slip off.

Sometimes when I see a GM, I get the urge to fire off a snipe at it and then run like hell, giggling to myself

I... I instigate things. I make crap happen.

I'll be on a team and everything is going pretty smooth, and all of a sudden you'll see in chat-
[Team]Destined to Die: :3

And your reflexes kick in and you try to help out your team and OH GOD THEY ARE EVERYWHERE I DIDN'T KNOW THAT MANY GUYS WERE EVEN IN THIS ROOM HOLY CRAP WHAT HAPPENED TO AGGRO CAPS?!

Generally there are about two people left standing after one of those. Oh god it is fun.

Or running into pocket D, leaping up on a table and being all like "OH GOD RUN THERE'S AN ICE DRAGON AFTER ME **** I'M HIT SAVE YOURSELVES!!!" and using Hibernate.

Or stopping suddenly when I see someone awesome, and riddling them with praise! BAM BAM BAM! And then I'm gone booooom!

dammit, someone's already horked the 'playing this game' and 'posting on the message board' answers. ah well, may as well go with the answers the OP was looking for.

-using Flight and zipping through zones, especially anytime GMs are up and wandering, and blasting 'Highway to the Danger Zone' just because.
-going to KR or Brickstown or wherever there's a good cluster of buildings and just jumping from rooftop to rooftop, with SJ or Hustle & Combat Jump if they're close enough.
-killing any villain with throwing knives or brawl.
-using Kick often just because it looks like im kicking someone in the g'nads.
-random exploration. haven't been everywhere in the game, so i like checing out places i havent been before.
-taking high level heroes to spots where no one ever goes and just laying the smackdown on whatever's present.
-teaming up with folks who like to chat, and letting loose with rapid fire quips. (and making angry faces at my screen at folks who make a nice big 8 person team and spend 4 hours not saying anything except to tell anyone who says anything that isn't 'buff plz', 'no spd bst' to shaddup)

Yes, it's pronounced Sim-ur-ROAR-uh. (I asked the devs back when I was filming the I-12 trailer because there was supposed to be more voiceover in my video, but cut it due to time constraints - but I needed to know how it was pronounced!)

I miss organizing Lobster Races in Atlas Park. The sheer volume of WTF responses from seeing a fleet of speedboosted Lobster-form Kheldians zooming around Atlas (in the seated position) along a preset course was just wonderful fun.

O.o

I'm trying to imagine what this looks like. I'm pretty sure I'm failing, but the mental image is still one of the funniest things I've run into this week.

used to have some fun with the "Shock Tactics Air Display Team" in Atlas... a team of players synched up and flying in formation and changing fly poses simultaneously

We almost got good at it

Deceive is one of my favorite time wasters: Deceiving Embalmed Cadavers just to see them explode their buddies. I often do that in low level zones as I'm running by.

Hellion Soccer: Get two players with Repel, and then find one of the walled parks in Atlas with arches at either end . . . every now and then, the ball "expires" and we have to find a new ball. The Hellion looks even more like a ball when I use Tesla Cage on him . . .
