How much rep do you have?

Purely a curiosity question as I don't use rep as a basis of whether or not a post or a poster has merit.

I have 2307 total.

Looks like.... 2992.

Edit: Come to think of it, I've always wondered if there was a cap. Hopefully this thread will tell us.

No idea, I prefer red to green anyway, too much green around here.

Nothing but red rep.

I doubt I have much of a rep at all. Where do we find this information?

Never argue with stupid people. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Just found it by accident, click the scales on any one of your posts. 58 here, rawr!

I've got 7 green bars. Can't be bothered to check further. Somehow it seems to go down when I make nice posts and up when I make controversial posts.

So, um, let's try something controversial.

What's the point of turning off rep if you're going to check it out anyway ? I've also seen someone with disabled rep who went through the trouble of hunting for his individual posts to check the associated rep (or whatever it is you need to do to actually see rep comments). It puzzles me.

Edit : thanks SiGGy, that's much easier than what I assumed. 841 here.

Thanks.

I have 115. How is this accumulated?

Other posters give you rep. The more rep you have, the more you give (or take away). Clicking the scales on a post that has received rep will show you any comment that was left with it.

And to the OP: I have a bit.

basically, if you see a miki on Triumph, it's probably cute and it's probably me.

Huge thanks to cuppamanga and all the folks in the mac help forum for prolonging my borrowed time on this game.

Open one of your own posts and click on the symbol as if you were going to rep yourself. Instead of giving you the option to rep, it'll tell you what rep you received on that post, and give you your total.

As for the OP's question, a quick web search says that the standard vBulletin program caps reputation at about 268 million (268,435,456), and there is no option to change it without installing special scripts.

Hint: if you e-mail rep to yourself, you can go over the cap.

I turned mine off because I think the rep system as implemented is basically pointless. I (occasionally) check my old posts for rep because I like to see the comments people give.

Rep? pffft. It's street cred that counts.

I kind of wonder other than it being a default function what purpose does it have?

Also I guess I don't post enough so 0 rep. Honestly only vaguely knew it was a function.
