I don't care what the team task is I was trying to go to the store.
when the leader clicks the new team task...
...when any teammate enters the mission...
...when any teammate zones anywhere...
...when any teammate joins the team...
...when any teammate leaves the team...
...when any teammate sneezes...
In other words, I'd love to have your personal checkpoint not disappear whenever any team oriented thing happens.
I'd go for this UI change. Drives me bonkers as well.
I use the thumbtack on the map for that.
I saw some player's screenshot once that included his/her/it's UI. They had detached their map from the mission box and resized it to be unobtrusive, but tucked right under the target box. I've started doing this and it has helped for the issue you speak of. While in a zone I can momentarily hover (I like fly powers) and zoom in on the store in question making it easy to reselect it as a waypoint. Yeah, until some feature prevents your selected waypoints from getting zapped, this may help... it helped me anyway.
You used to be able to do this back in the day, and I'm not quite sure how it got changed, but it's been effectively bugged ever since.

This.
It drives me insane when I'm trying to level up/go to the store/put on my shoes etc. I don't really see the point in this waypoint change? It would also help to be able to see the person's rep without them having a mission up and/or be in the same zone.
/Signed. Drives me loopy. Sometimes I click on the trainer and it lasts for a blink of a second, then its gone again. Really irritating.
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Despite having played for years, I still need to open the map to click on the icon for, for example, the Train Line.
On Villains, some of the icons are so closely spaced together (and the map zoom resets after every instance) I have to zoom in every time.
Then the location marker disappears and I have to go through the whole rigmarole again.
I play mainly Viallains, and don't use waypoints for stores and trainers, because I know where they are. Even on the Occassion I play a Hero, I still know where all the old stuff is.

My response is pretty much "learn where this stuff is" too. :/

As a related issue, one thing I hate is when I'm on a team and I wanna read the contact dialogue, everytime someone zones, enters a mission, etc etc, the dialogue window just says "loading...".
Usually I just go to ParagonWiki afterwards if I'm too annoyed, but still, it's a needless annoyance. Like having someone repeatedly close a book you're trying to read.
Oh, how many times have I run across a zone thinking it was my contact I was zeroing in on, only to realize it was redirecting me to Detective Hockenloogie or Fraggelrocker or whatever and I was a mile in the wrong direction.

Ever tried to catch up on the cape mission while others are at the door? It's really hard to do when your waypoint keeps resetting to the mission in AP.
Yes, I'd like my map to stay where I selected it, not to change because some other thing in the team changed. Very frustrating.
I'm such a geek. Some of my heroes have journals.

I've only experienced this once, and I already despise it.

Extremely annoying when it happens, esspecially when you level up in mission to an even level and want to train a new power. Drives me up the wall.
Extra credit if the Devs fix it and code it to say "Oh HELL no!" in Will Smith's voice every time it resists being changed.

Does anyone get irritated when they're on a team and their enhancements, recipes, and salvages are full so they click on a store on their map to find their way there. While running there the leader clicks on the new team task, and now the map is leading to the mission instead of the store. And they're like Noooooooooooooooo!
My suggestion is to have a team task waypoint and let each individual party member have their own individual click waypoint.
If it ain't broke set it on fire, then say it was a fault in the design.
