What's the stupidest thing you've ever done?
I didn't know that you could have more than one of an enhancement in a power, so my first scrapper had his attacks slotted something like 1 acc/1 damage/1 recharge/1 endredux/1 defense debuff.
Also, I tried taking on a giant monster on my Storm/Elec defender. This was waaaaay before I knew that debuff resistance even existed, so I expected Hurricane to make him a pushover.
Having Vengeance and Fallout slotted for recharge means never having to say you're sorry.
Another of my Tales of the Dim Bulb...
This one happened back when issue 5 was on test, and before trick arrow got over balanced. Up till this point, I'd never seen Paladin. I'd heard of it, but never saw it. And I'd spent days trying to catch a spawn. Anyway, this day I was in kings row on a level 7 or so TA/A defender. I stood 4 foot nothing tall, and was enjoying myself.
Then this HUGE robot comes stomping by. I was saying aloud "He's big. he's really big. Wow he's big." Next thing I know I've hit numpad 1 and launched an arrow at him without thinking. I turned to my friend with this dumbstruck expression and ask "Did I just shoot him?" My friend said "Yes, RUN!"
I turned and started to run, but couldn't escape. Pally hit me a couple times with electric blasts. Realizing I wasn't going to escape, I stopped. After saying to my friend "%#@$* it" I launched every debuff I had. I started to fire anything I had up as fast as it came up. Debuffs, attacks, kitchen sinks. I threw everything at paladin. And I was starting to win. I had it's health down by a quarter. Then Pally stepped on me. BAMN, game over man. I was dead. Just like that.

Madam Enigma's History
Back in one of the first Halloween events, I was flying through Bricks with my dedicated Emp, and there was a cluster (like 10-15) Elochai GMs just standing around. I don't know what the hell i was thinking, but I suddenly decided my tier 1, unslotted energy attack would certain serve them up some Justice.
I was a pumpkin pie before I hit the ground.
On a recent, non-CoH note, when reinstalled Thunderbird, there is a very fine between LOADING your backup and SAVING OVER your backup.
Stay Gold, Paragon. Stay Gold.
Nolite te bastardes carborundorum.
Early in the game, I had a Storm defender in his teens, and I thought it would be fabulous to stack Stealth on top of Steamy Mist. The instant I toggled on Stealth and detoggled Steamy Mist, I knew I had been had.
Triumphant Defenders Forever

HelinCarnate:OMG it is so terrible. I have the option to take 3 more powers but no additional slots. Boo F'ing hoo.
I rerolled my very first level 50 character because I wanted him to be taller.
Three days later the Super Tailor got announced.
One thing I constantly do: if nobody is the designated tank, I will not shy away from running in and grabbing the alpha. This includes toons who cannot tank anything. I've died a lot as a result and it's joked about with my friends sometimes. On the bright side, it makes someone more capable rush in ahead of me to do the tanking so I stop getting killed so much.

Ah... my own new days to this game... I remember them...
(The pain... The torment... The absolute conviction that the Giant Monsters where out to get me...)
I remember the first time I hit level 6, and was told to go to King's Row. I had no clue that the rail lines existed, but I new that a 'Hazard Zone' was not a place I should go alone. So, looking at the map, I though... 'Hey, I just need to cut through Skyway City!'
...
Needless to say, I ended up deleting rather than try and figure out how to get from the hospital to the Kings Row exit without dieing again...
Another famous head-beater: Back when Task Forces gave recipe rolls, I got one of the holy grail drops: the Miracle +Recovery recipe. And, as I was playing a Katana/Regen scrapper, I had no need to slot it myself. It was like a holy light shining on my character, I was looking at no more Inf problems, ever. (A constant problem for me.)
But, I needed to sell off extraneous crud first, so headed to the nearest store to offload... and ended up clicking to button at the wrong time, and sold the Miracle +Recovery.
I then proceeded to quit so I could beat my head against a wall for a while.

Oh so many but let's see...
Frist year in game I joined in December and was just in time to be awarded a brand new Jingle Jet. As I leveled my character I wondered now I have this wonder jet pack why would I waste powers to get FLY or SS? Of course 30 days later the jet went poof and I took my travel power (FLY) somewhere around level 20.
Same Mastermind character, I started on COV, hit 30 something level and was passing through Sharkshead. I spotted the Ghost of Scrapyard with no strikers for support and thought. Hey I and 30+ level now and thats 20 something GM I can take him! I have since learned the sutble intricate workings of GMs automatically con at the same level as whoever attacks them.
More recent same as a number I have seen here. I was at Wentworths and was putting a rare bit of salvage up for sale. Checked the going price for it and THOUGHT I typed in 10 million but in my haste I missed a zero and sure enough someone out there looking to get something cheap got it for 1 Million.
Of course there have been Mis Tells that have left me blushing even sitting here at home staring at the keyboard and any number of other goofy mistakes one makes when they try to play after too much work and too little sleep. LOL

total kick to the gut
This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.
on my first character until about lv 20 I thought you slotted enhancements in the enhancement tray so I carefully selected which 10 enhancements I kept in my tray.
Back when I first started, I took flurry on my grav/kin controller because the dark/dark scrapper I teamed with had it and I thought it looked awesome.
I also took a bet that my toon with fly could race around AP faster than said scrapper who had super speed.
/gignore @username is the best feature of this game. It's also probably the least used feature.
