Illegible Enhancements
It appears they were told of many of the game enhancing features that they thought were brilliant a few in the playerbase thought the opposite. The small numbers on enhancements was one of them...it made it to live. If you look at the forums I see a lot of negativity gaining ground at the moment. You would think that something would be done by now, a roll back of some of the features that may be causing it. (Ultra Mode maybe)
Happy Anniversary
Same problem here, I think. I've got a 23" widescreen monitor, and I can barely make out the numbers on my slotted enhancements. The enhancements themselves are squished horizontally - it looks like you should be able to fit 7 on each power! I've found that changing my resolution to a 1.33:1 aspect ratio returns the enhancements to their proper size, but the numbers are still hard to read, and I don't really want to waste my screen real estate that way.

Way too many alts on Triumph, Virtue, Protector, Champion, and Exalted.
For me, the actual numbers are partway behind the symbols.
I was one of the folks complaining about this. I went to the 99 cent store and bought one of every power reading glasses they had. Even the strongest is not good enough.
I joked before about this....but now, now I am wondering.... Forget about the Devs hating Villains, in reality, and please say it isn't so, they hate those of us who are old enough to have to use reading glasses

As a temporary measure (I'm assuming this will be adjusted eventually), you can try the following:
typing
/windowscale auction 1.3
will increase the size of the auction window, and with it the text size for the enhancement/recipe numbers shown there.
Typing /windowscale auction 1 will put it back to default again (unless you've changed your global windowscale in the options, in which case you can just change the value there again).
Unfortunately it doesn't seem like you can go past 1.3 (it actually starts somewhere before that, but 1.3 is easier to remember than 1.27).
You can do the same for your enhancement tray with
/windowscale enhancements 1.3
(the enhancement tray has to be undocked)
It's a fairly ugly workaround, but at least it should make the numbers easier to read.
Ah, will have to try that next time I'm able to get on.
I agree with the tiny type being a bit much. I thought it was just a bug when I checked out i17 on Test, but jeez, I guess not. >_<;;
I don't mind a bit of a reduction in our Power Management screen, so we don't have to scroll up and down, but the IOs are sort of squashed horizontally, and the numbers are so small, that on my 20" LCD monitor, I have to get within inches in order to see what the digits say. =o_O=

Bed for me.
I will try this when I get home from work tomorrow evening, not being able to see my enhancement levels is driving me nuts.
Again, Thanks.

But will any of this work for the respec screen? I can't properly pull off one with the numbers unreadable.

There is however an even uglier workaround that can work for temporary things such as a respec.
The Windows Magnifier.
(usually found under Programs/Accessories/Ease of Access, or something like that)
This dedicates an area (by default at the top of your screen, but you can drag it around) to show a magnified copy of whatever your mouse is hovering over.
You could use it when running CoH in fullscreen (but it might involve dragging the magnifier window around), but it's probably easier to manage if you're running in windowed mode.
It's not pretty, but at least it can help you get through a respec.

Having the same issue here with the tiny numbers and mashed oval slots. My screen is set to my monitor's native resolution.
I can squint and make out the numbers but the whole thing is extremely ugly and I can't believe it was designed that way on purpose.
Great! I have a lot of toons to respec. This stinks.

On the enhancement screen, if you hover the mouse over an enhancement, you can see a larger version of it in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.

Ahh ok. I'm another one who finds they can't read the numbers and who thought it was a bug. Heck if they want to add tiny numbers for people with monitors the size of football stadiums, couldn't they just add a toggle to the options for 'People who have ridiculously large monitors/People who need a microscope to read the font'?

New enhancement screen is so tiny and distorted >< i want the old one back!
The darn powerbars look like i could fit at least 2 more enhances on it. I thought Arbiter Kim was looking into it when we reported it in closed beta. |

For the love of Pete fix this. I'll be changing my @ handle to eyestrain man if I have to deal with this much longer.
The 'squished' enhancements are to make room for the incarnate slots/enhancements. *shrug* Need to make room somehow.

That's not true at all. The 'squished' enhancements are due to the reworking of the enhancement management screen, to make use of larger resolution and widescreen monitors. If you resize your City window down to something small, you no longer have the extra space at the end of your powers.

This was occurring in the i17 beta and is in i17 Live. All the enhancements are smaller that before, and their level is completely illegible(the numbers are too small!)
I only have a 14" screen to work with. I don't understand why the enh graphics have all been reduced!
