The question I asked that was probably too late to realistically get an answer was if there were any power sets, like Empathy, Poison, or Shields which are unlikely to be proliferated, due to issues with the new archetypes.

A katrillion bajillion times yes! No more having to beg strangers to temporarily join your SG to invite your own toons (which I've never had trouble doing, but still it's a hassle)!
Cross server teaming? I woulnd't mind, but what I'd really like is cross-server SGs. Imagine having the entire Hero or Villain universe to recruit from instead of just your own server. That would rule.
