I'm just thrilled I got a first place vote. Only took four months! Really amazed and glad to see how spread out the votes are. I'm keeping track of this myself, and every single vote almost is completely changing the rankings.
Some quick statistics:
Points separating first through third place: 1
Points separating fifth through eight place: 4
very very close race so far here.

Awww, c'mon, go easy on the kitty... While I agree that posting ongoing scores and campaigning for votes should be off limits I do believe that Amerikatt meant no harm (or real persuasion) but rather was just being her usual wide eyed innocent (though self promoting self)...

also as far as Amerikatt goes, well I would be pretty dam happy to have someone ecstatic over a picture I did of them.. and I think a lot of artists would for that matter..

Tarty - go back and reread the first post - this is NOT a non-elimination month.
She stated there's plenty of entrants left to go forth with eliminations and I must say I agree... If we kept going with no eliminations it would be too tempting for some artists to slack off and submit just something... *shrug*

Since the majority of eliminations were due to dropouts I think the question to ask yourself is whether or not you'd have allowed dropouts to win their way back in to begin with... If not then I guess it's all but a moot point.
If so then I don't see any reason not to continue with the idea if several are interested in trying to win their way back in... Just make it clear that if they again fail to submit a qualifying entry on time that we will all mock them relentlessly and pelt them with rocks and garbage at any given opportunity...
What with the contest being for fun and all, I see mo harm in having someone returned to the island. But then again, if not enough evictees are interested then *shrug*
And the votes from the Yokel jury are in. They are as follows:
1. Frost - ahh, this brings back memories. Love the method. Love the innocence and joy it conjures.
2. Bubbawheat - lolly-stick men! Excellent idea! Sooo aged 4!
3. ChristopherRobin - far more mature than anything that decorated my patio when Junior and pals were 3; I get all fuzzy when I remember these chalks!
I would have liked to vote for everyone, to be honest, but because I had to narrow it down to 3, I applied my own personal filter and went with entries that employed techniques I remember my son and heir getting involved in at Nursery and Reception (that's probably more or less equivalent to US Kindergarten, I'd guess).
