Yeah, all that rad IS epic.

And with all those AMs going "running" is precisely what you're doing.

Hey kids! It's Monday!

I was on the road for several hours today and not sure if I will make it but hopefully a lot of others will definitely be there.

I got school at 7pm Pst. I can probably get in the first half hour with you guys. How long will you all be on? I can make it back by 10 at the latest. I can pull an all nighter after that.

Also are you guys going praet tonight? Who do I contact for invite. If you're on right now I'd like to chat. I might make right now and get some levels in so if I get back after class and people are on there will be less of a level disperity.

Okay we meet on The Hill in Talos Island at 6PM Pacific, 7PM Mountain, 8PM Central, 9PM Eastern. Standard or Daylight Savings, the times are always the same.

We play until we're done. Usually it's somewhere in the neighborhood of 2-3 hours.

You can contact me.
I'll be on this evening as Vortex Core.

Anyone have a level 50 Mid's build for F/rad using the suggested powers?

Honestly? No. Mostly because the rough power outline we provide leaves so much room for customization.

The real must have powers are Accelerate metabolism, maneuvers, tactics, and assault from the leadership pool, hotfeet, imps, and your favorite AoE mez to set up containment. After that, you can really pick anything else and it's hard to go wrong.

Smoke and bonfire are the most skippable in fire control. Choking cloud, fallout, and Emp pulse are the most skippable in radiation emission.

Honestly, I wouldn't call Choking Cloud skippable. Big PBAoE hold as a toggle?

Some of that is my personal bias. I have never liked choking cloud, but in a FRAD superteam it becomes pretty darn good. But then again, so does everything else.

*FWOOSH!*
AV: *GACK!*

Fire/Rad Team Leader: Okay we took down the last minion. Now where's the AV?

Okay, I'm labeling this one "Taskforce OMFGWTFBBQ!"

Okay, what's so wild about this?

Two things.

  1. Before the start of the raid, we did a bit of street sweeping. So, going into the raid, I was the proud possessor of about 60-80 merits.
  2. We spent the majority of the time in the bowl both upright AND at recharge cap. I spent most of the raid cackling madly.
We'd picked up a couple more people to fill the team, however their computers didn't seem to be able to handle the raid. So they dropped and we spent most of our time with 6. Not that it mattered.

I'd like to thank Luna De Nocturne and Turgenv for organizing and running the raid. A damn fine piece of work!

Okay, got in early this evening and picked up an ITF on another of my toons. Was so busy not dying I didn't know I'd missed the start of Fire/Rads.

My apologies to everyone. Won't happen again.

On the flip side, you guys took the initiative and started up a Posi1. Good work!

Once done, I was able to join for a Posi2 too. However, it was rough going. VERY rough. The lag tonight was so atrocius that I had to call it. I was going at mobs, getting approximately NO attacks off, and dying instantly. then rubberbanding back and falling over dead. Maybe it wouldn't have been so bad at even level and proper group size. But at +1x8 we were getting murdered. And all I could do was stand there and........watch.

GRRR!

We got about 2/3 of the way through Posi2. I promise I'll make it up to you guys next week.

Additionally, next week will be my first off this dang wireless connection and on something relatively stable (though calling AT&T DSL "stable" is like calling a gunshot wound "uncomfortable").

I'm actually kinda irked. This was the first time I've ever had to do this. And I hate losing. Hate it like poison. So I'm going to do my damndest to make sure it never happens again!

See you guys next week. Bright and early.

Also, been talking with a couple of you. I know that Monday at 9PM Eastern isn't always the greatest time or day for all of you. What would you guys say to an additional day for Fire/Rads another time during the week? And if so, what'd work for you?

My fault. Sorry guys. I had fun tonight regardless and will be back next week. I was playing Monday Morning. I was late because I got out of work late. I think Thursday?

Any chance of getting a time slot for us weekend warriors?

Okay, it's roughly 9 Eastern and nobody's here today (yet...I hope).

Anyhoo, a couple people have asked about another day (either moving it to, or in addition to).

How would Friday be for you guys? If it's an additional day, we could also afford to start earlier so that we can get stuff knocked out and still have playtime available to east coasters.

Maybe Friday, 7 PM Eastern and going until people get sick of it?

I may be able to make Mondays again, in a week or two. Currently I am hauling kids around between 7:45 and 8:00 PM CDT, which means I am always too late to join. Theoretically that will change back to 7:30, sometime soon, which means I might be able to make 8 PM.

I really enjoyed the hand full of runs I got to do with you guys -- was a total blast.

Just an FYI, we don't SOLELY run TFs. So if you're in a bit late, it's no biggie. Just shoot me a message.

Another crazy night at Fire/Rads.

We had a small turnout tonight, so we decided to go work on accolades in Croatoa for a bit. Pumpkin Master/Mistress, Bane of Danan, Bewitched, Cap Buster. All of them, TOAST! Then, for laughs, we ran a Katie. As we were only 5, we picked up an enterprising blaster and made our way to the TF.
Dear LORD! Mary MacComber never knew what hit her! She and her spawns kept coming in on top of us. Cue much choking and burning. The knockback was a bit of an issue (she was overcoming my single knockback IO too), and a few deaths were had, but we never team wiped and just marched on through the spawns to Ten Times The Victor. Heck, there was barely any endurance drain going on.

The second mission, we probably should have just reverted to standard Fire/Rad practice and marched through, cooking everything in our path. We decided to stealth it, and it took somewhat longer.

The kill-all was straightforward. Stun, cage, choke kill.

On the last, we were hampered by the fact that Katie's soul won't fly out with you anymore and the fact that she was aggroing on EVERYTHING. So it kinda turned into a kill all. In the end, the blaster was lamenting that he hadn't brought HIS Psi/Rad instead. He also, unfortunately, bailed from the team before we could get a screenshot with him in it.

Afterward, a few people still needed progress on their badges, so it was back to cooking ghosts and Fir Bolg for a bit.

All in all a VERY productive night. With exploration badges from Talos and Croatoa, I picked up something like 20 badges.

Vortex Core made level 45 during the TF.
Warmly Yours made level 38.

Of the Fire/Radders tonight, we were:

  • Zero Decay
  • Vortex Core
  • Warmly Yours
  • Hot.Stuff
  • Greased Wheels
