So get yourself in Posi range and it's all good.

As for level locking, you can go in and turn off XP earnings at any point. Then you simply stop leveling.
Okay...that should be no problem, I'll shoot for lvl20 to take advantage of stamina!

I knew you you can turn off xp now, didn't know the terminology! I saw your post in the Freedom Server section and was a bit confused:

"Note: I have another Fire/Rad in the works now. This one will not be level-locked and will be used to get us access to higher-level TFs. "

Hope to see you on Monday! (Kitty Combustion is my F/Rad... "@midnight dread")

Yeah. My first Fire/Rad is stopped at L33 for maximum earnings via recipe generation.

The Fire/Rad I'm working up is primarily for giving the group access to higher level task forces.

What level are you guys currently? I have a Fire/Rad that is level 11 so it is probably a little low. Also, how long do you usually play for? Do you just do TFs/Trials or missions too?

Thanks!

Just any fun team content, I'd guess. 2 weeks ago, we plowed through the Dark Mirror arcs.

And I will be able to team tonight. Hooray!

A very enjoyable team. I was suprised and grinned like crazy the first few missions as we zoomed around with all those AMs applied and things melted in droves. Fun!

I'm glad I saw this thread and dropped in with my new Fire/Rad. Thanks for having Main-Sequence along on an extra fun Positron part 1 and 2. Great team mates.

Okay, we did not one, but TWO taskforces this week.
We had a full 8-man team and we just whupped a..butt!

Posi 1:

We finished in 44 minutes and change. Yeah, slow. We'll try to get it done faster next time.

And the shadow us'es (STATION!)? They were WIMPS! Their butts were kicked eight ways to Sunday. VERY underwhelming.

Posi 2:

Here we were Taskforce Tunguska (see BIG BOOM).
And yes, Doc Vahz DEFINITELY felt the boom.
We ran about 3 minutes over the 1 hour time limit I'd set on both TFs.
I attribute this mostly to some VERY long load times in a couple of instances and only one DC through the entire run.

You can find all the pics HERE.

I'd like to thank:

  • Greased Wheels
  • Zero Decay
  • Fork in Microwave
  • Kitty Combusion
  • Therm O'Dynamic
  • Main-Sequence and
  • Hadesmord

And, as promised, I've built a separate Fire/Rad for higher level taskforces.

Introducing Vortex Core.

On the flip side, much fun was had by all and many, many bad guys were melted down into scrap. Alone, I pulled 2-3/4 levels and nine badges.

Sounds like the Fire/Rads are having great fun... all without me

My work schedule has me locked up at work the past Monday nights, hopefully that will change over the next few weeks and I will be able to re-join the team

I understand. I helped start a villains Fire/Rad team over on Protector. Unfortunately, due to the way they decided to schedule, I'm unable to attend.

Bah! My mother had car trouble yesterday so I was the taxi for the evening. I will work on my Fire/Rad and catch up with you guys for sure! I made this particular toon a few years ago specifically for Fre/Rad teams too, so it would be really cool to use it for it's original purpose.

I have not done the new Posi yet... I know it was just done but hopefully we can re-run in the future.

If anyone wants to name another night and time, I'm game for it. I still have to get the new Posi on Trolla as well.

I have no problem re-doing it with the Fire/Rads. The lobby scene is just a farce compared to how faceplanty it was on all tank teams. And really, the dopplegangers just melt. It's sad. Muah ha ha ha ha.

I assume the leader must have done posi 1 to get posi 2?

Nope. You can start either.

Okay guys. This evening we'll likely be doing the Sister Psyche TF.
If, however, get have more lowbie characters, we'll do a Synapse. HOWEVER, we're going to crank the difficulty a bit (what's life without a bit of challenge?)

If we wind up pulling enough people to man two teams, we can split them up by level between two separate TFs. I know there's a few out there who haven't gotten the new Posi runs in yet.

Again, the hill in Talos. See you there.

Worked my toon up to 18 (I think) last week doing Posi 1 and 2. Ready for Synapse this week! (hopefully we get a team to do that one)

This week. On Fire/Rads!

I have to report we didn't have a successful team.

We had TWO! We had almost a dozen people show up. So, we separated out between lower level from upper level.

Epoxy Man took the higher level group and ran through a couple missions, then took off on a Citadel with 6 players.

The lower level group went in and slapped down the Clockwork King and his army of (as per Sister Flame) "Clicky Clacks" and made them beg for the oil can.

Two small oopsies. First, I got a bit over-anxious, and summoned the other team to fight Babbage a mission too early.

Okay! I admit it! I was dropped on my head (extensively!) as a child!

So we went in and mowed down the mission in question and came back out to boot Babbage booty but good!

Oopsie #2. Apparently Babbage has either been failing to spawn, or running afoul of some nearby drones. Because he never showed.

So, on to the finish. We lost one guy to him due to early aggro. We resurrected him and proceeded to make Clocky pay for his misdeeds (in large denominations). We finished in a time of 2:24 (with the Silver timer on us).

As always, more screenshots are available in my gallery, as linked above in this thread.

Awaiting pictures from the captain of the Citadel team.

Known players from Team Synapse (Settings: +0/x8):
  • Thermal Hazard
  • Fork in Microwave
  • Vortex Core
  • Crimson Image
  • Happy Scorch
Known players from Team Citadel
  • Zero Decay
  • Greased Wheels
  • Therm O'Dynamic
  • Main Sequence
  • Rubeus
  • Radiant Hestia
Please forgive me, I don't normally run with chat logging on or I'd have all the names.

Note to self: TURN ON CHAT LOGGING DOOFUS!

Awesome run guys! I bet we could have cracked the 2hr mark had we not waited up (twice, lol) for the no-show Babbage. He definitely didn't want any haha. Ah well. Looking forward to next week! (FYI this Monday is Memorial Day for those in the US, in case you forgot!)

Tons of fun. I only wish that Babbage showed up so that the 12 of us could make him bend over.

Hello everyone, I recently got back into the game after a year or so break. I created a character on Freedom after seeing that my old home of Protector was not as full as I like.

Anyways, I want to know if you guys go strictly fire/rad because this sounds like fun. I went Ill/Rad myself so part of the synergy is still there.

Oh dear BOB that would have been hilarious.

We've been trying to keep it mostly fire/rad. But if you show up and you really want in on a team, we can usually make space.

Illusion might be a little problematic though. It's more of a confuse/disorient based set than a hold/stun/damage set like fire.

Ah well, show up. We can always give it a try. If it doesn't mesh, we'll be honest and say so.

Alternatively, if you have a character slot available on Freedom, there is no reason to not make a fresh Fire/Rad there. That was what I did with Therm O'Dynamic over a week ago. I made him the day before the double Posi-run and quickly got him to around 11 in time for Monday night. After that session, he was 24, and after last night, he ended at around 26 1/2.

Oh, and I think that last member of the Citadel team was Radiant Hestia (I think I spelled it right).
