Fire/Rad Superteams Forming on Freedom
I'd like to get in on this as well. My Global name is Dancing Shadow.
This sounds fun. I usually frequent Protector and Justice. However, I would be interested in getting in on this. You guys would welcome me right... with open arms and warm chocolate chip cookies? LOL
I'll roll a Fire/Rad tonight and start leveling. I don't think I will be nearly as high as you guys are by tomorrow night. As long as it's ok I would love to team up with you. |
We'll see you there.
FInally was able to run with my Frad again last night and had a blast. Looks like Friday nights is gona work out a whole lot better for me than monday.

Heya Infernoqueen. Welcome back!
We're on Mondays 9PM Eastern to whenever.
We're also on Fridays, 7PM Eastern to whenever.
Sorry about the lateness of the post for Monday's event guys. Busy busy busy!
We had another great turnout this week! We started off by trouncing those despicable ner-do-wells Eochai and Jack in Irons. Unfortunately, due to the amount of time they'd been fighting, only some people got badges. We'll try again for a Monster Mash sometime in the future. Make sure EVERYONE gets them.
We then proceeded on to go open a can on Hro'Dtoz in the RWZ. I'd been trying to spank him earlier in the day solo and couldn't get him down below 25% before he'd spank me.
So I upped the diff and brought friends.
Bye bye big Rikti guy!
We then proceeded on to Unai Kemen. We opted to take the Pantheon Masks mish twice as we're not just working towards max merits, we're also working on accolades.
While it was a shorter night, we called it early.
I'd like to thank everyone who showed, and I'll see you guys on Friday!
Many thanks to Hyperstrike for organizing/running this. I really appreciate it.
Okay! A quick night tonight. We had 4 people there at 9PM and had a couple more straggle in a bit late (traffic sucks sometimes).
Because of this, we opted to get Warmly Yours her Midnighter badge. Meaning we got to run the mish at level 48/49.
Poor Rikti never knew what him them!
We even managed to get though the Lady Jane mission without getting her killed!
*FAINT*THUD!*
Then, about this time, I had a client call (still have him yakking in my ear now) because I forgot to pull his temp extension off our phone system...
As such, I had to call the night early. Sorry to the people who didn't get to play longer. I'll make it up to you guys. More Firey-Raddy goodness coming soon!
Sorry? I am so glad you run these! They are so fun!
I am just sorry we didn't take a screen shot for you!
I think last night was the first night where we ever team-wiped. What were we running on -- +2/x8?
I did discover after the only wipe that leading with Radiation Infection pretty much guaranteed a wiped spawn (something I hadn't always been doing since we normally moved so quickly). It was definitely cool wiping out level 52 spawns at level 36 - 37... (Yeah, I was "SK'd" up to 48 or 49, but STILL...)
Thanks again!
Just an FYI people.
Fire/Rads is TONIGHT! 9PM Eastern.
If you want to be super, play a Fire/Rad.
If you want to be a GOD, play on a team FULL of Fire/Rads!
And yeah Blue, we were running +2x8 for a bit there. So TPK's happen in an occasional, but startlingly rapid manner.
We need to try and stay grouped a bit better. When we spread out too far, or have people jumping ahead, it exacerbates this sorta thing.
And again, we take ANYONE who has the cojones to put together a Fire/Rad and jump into the frying pan with us.
Great run tonight. We had a couple new (to us) players on board and we wound up just completely wiping five tip missions in under an hour.
After that we gave GM hunting a quick stab. Jurassik was the first to feel our fulsome fusillade of firey fury. Cue one smoking pile of rubble!
Then, after a bit more searching, we caught Babbage hiding in a corner in Boomtown. Wierded us the hell out though. After a couple whacks, he launched for orbit! No, seriously, there was this HUGE leap and he was up on top of the nearby building! We're sitting there going ????????
Finally he got his cojones back and stopped hiding from us. We then proceeded to rambunctiously rout his rage whilst rising to ridiculous regions of radness.
And now that I have all that aliteration out of the way, I bid you good night!
Tonight's participants.

Wow! I sure picked a bad night to miss! Oh well, hopefully I'll make it next week.
Another "EVERYTHING DIES!" night tonight at Fire/Rads!
First thing, we hit the Halloween tip mission. Just burnt our way through it, ate the ambushes, belched, then screamed for more!
Since we were still hungry, we went in search of some char-broiled GM. Out to PI and first thing we did was put down Eochai then Jack immediately afterwards. Jack's spawns seem to have been "fixed" this year as he's showing up MUCH more dependably this year than previously.
Then we settled down for a bit more ToT. Death on a flaming stick!
A few more people picked up the Halloween tip and we ran them. First, again at 50. Weird thing was, we had to enter the mish THROUGH the light beam inside AE!
Then one of our other players got the mish in the 30's. It was a bit more difficult, but nothing we couldn't handle.
At that time, I had to call it. But we got a lot accomplished tonight.

Had a blast during my first teaming with the fire/rads and I look forward to many more to come. I had heard these teams melted mobs but was awesome to see everything in action. Perhaps we'll have to burn some Rikti Invasion Mobs soon!!!

And if we can get everyone ITF-worthy, I wanna do an all-Fire/Rad ITF sometime soon.
I have my fire/rad (Eire Elemental) up to lev 36, I'll have to stop by Friday night ... sounds like a load of fun.

The one time we got a tank, he complained endlessly about us killing all his stuff. |
PS: I want to be on your server because of this thread. It must look like judgment night when you guys do this stuff. Some kind of discoey judgment night.
Fire/Rad troller? On Freedom? I admit NOTHING!
It's....

Yup. Another successful ITF for the Fire/Rads.
Six Fire/Rads, a Stone brute, and a Rad/Kin Corrupter.
If our brute had been going any faster, he'd have impacted on Paris and caused widespread devastation.
First mish, instead of going up the back way, I decided to fight up the hill. The Nictus ambush kinda whacked everyone but our brute. But, from the SB and 6 AM's he was moving fast enough to sprint across the area with Solaris in tow. Mission successful.
Second mission, we again just marched through, killing everything in our way. Had a couple deaths due to explody cysts. But no big deal.
Third mission. We fought our way up the hill. A little lag, but nothing severe. We got to the console and proceeded to WHUP ITS ELECTRONIC HINEY! The first wave of Romulus Phalanx died with nary a whimper. Most of the second did as well. And while the third tossed us around some, we got through without a death. We then pulled both the AVs and put the flaming hammer down on them.
Final mission. We just marched up, cleared everything in front of Rommy, and then me unfortunately fat-fingering "follow" while targeted to Romulus started the assault. We had one death at this phase. We just locked debuffs on and cooked him through the nictus healing. We killed him once, then got him down halfway before he regenned up. We locked in on him again and cooked him down again. The final couple times were just adding insult to injury.
In closing, while not the fastest ITF (we weren't trying for a "speed run"), we got it done in a respectable hour and seventeen minutes. Our brute's only lament was that we were killing stuff so fast he couldn't build fury.
I'd like to thank all the people who ran with us last night.

When people ask me why CoH instead of WoW/LotRO/Trek/etc. I point to stuff like this. No 'holy trinity of mmo's required'
And while I'm a big fan of rad(have a fallout/vengance build double rad def) I can't get into fire control and make it work for me.
