Resistence: All hail Calvin Scott?
Yeah, it's like having a black quarterback or offensive co-ordinator. It totally makes up for everything.

On the contrary, Cole's goal is to keep the world safe from the Devouring Earth. (Or at least Nova Praetoria; we haven't seen all the zones in GR and how far Cole's protection extends)
How much more selfish can "only I know what is right for everyone" and on the other point, He makes the norms, hard to violate yourself

While some may call his methods draconian, Nova Praetoria is definitely a utopia for its residents.
Cole does not define societal norms; society does. Cole enforces the law of Nova Praetoria. Law and societal norms are two different things. In most areas, "obey the law" is a large societal norm (though in some countries around our world... urgh), but many norms have nothing to do with the law, and as long as the resident's aren't violating Cole's laws, nothing happens to them.

I'll miss you all.
I said "Nova Praetoria is definitely a utopia for its residents."
Being a former resident doesn't entitle you to utopia

And even the current residents are denied things they're entitled to

Such as?
Say "free will" and I'll smack you.

The residents of Nova Praetoria have both freedom and free will. They may not enjoy the results of what they do, but neither would I enjoy the results of jumping off a tall building.

By that logic, neither do you, or I, or anyone on the planet, or any sentient being in the universe.

Well, are you trying to withdraw more than you have in your account?

Nonsense, who would do such a thing. But they keep telling me that my bank card is locked, so I can sometimes get a little frustrated.

Maybe they didn't think you had enough assets to underwrite the loan?

Marauder is in charge of the Powers Division - that's blatantly not racism - he trains and commands Tyrant's superpowerd forces
