Actually potentially worse is the rescue Tina Raymond mish from Timothy R. It's normally OK, but if you get one or more spines wardens in the group guarding her, they can kill her before she's freed. When I first saw her she was on 1/10 hits last time I did this and couldn't save her.

Not in large teams but I've never done it solo either. The trick is to keep the person(s) they are following in the middle of the team, running to the opposite side of the ambushes, and keeping back when pulling from areas that might lead to a chain reaction. It takes a disciplined team to be sure but we had done all that just from our "never let the ally die" challenge we apply to all allies, not because we thought it would fail.

A mission that is nearly impossible for a large team but easy for 1-2 person teams is the Lady Jane mission in the Midnighter's arc. Hooboy - done it once out of a lot of tries but don't want to try again.

Isn't there a Tina mish that is on a 9 min timer? I've never actually tried to make that one happen.

IMO, any hunt mission of more than 20 is an intentional, pointless waste of a player's time.

For that RWZ mission where you have to rescue General Aarons, one trick is to lead him to a safe place (like the mission door), and then ditch him via stealth or super speed. It is also possible that once he is a combatant (aka been rescued), someone with Recall Friend or the Summon Teammate temp power can stand at the door and port him, then ditch him.

Thats the conventional wisdom on CoT of course. But was not true when I was there recently. vast majroity of roof tops were banished.

This is horrible. I triad to do Numina (I think) TF and got assigned this hunt. By the end I hated the 5th again. Worst Kill Stealers I have ever dealt with!

The Hunt Council missions need to be adjusted so they can be either Council or 5th Column. Either that, or give us back a bunch of guaranteed Council spawn points.

I totally agree! Bringing back the 5th Column is kind of a bitter-sweet experience.

It's pretty easy if whoever goes to Boomtown has ranged aoe, because so long as you've done any damage to the Council, it doesn't matter who actually kills them. Without ranged aoe, it's an absolute swine.

Aware that it was coming, I've actually succeeded at it the last two times I got it from the contact, once on a Dark/Psi Defender and once on a DB/Regen Scrapper. Amusingly, the Scrapper was set to +2/x6, and I wasn't planning enough in advance to have lowered my spawn sizes. That really made it interesting. (I did it on the Defender before the new difficulty settings, though it was on Invincible.)

I've been on a large team that succeeded at it once. That was pretty cool.

I've done that one once, and actually pulled it off despite having no idea it was coming. Mostly due to being on my Ill/Rad, who could stealth easily, and alternate Phantom Army and Spectral Terror to distract or fear any spawns around the glowies.
