As far as costumes, I would like to address the costume creator. How about giving us more options. how about giving us more choices for the head...of course. As for the body, Can you make it more customizable. Add upper left arm, upper right are, lower left arm, lower right arm. Chest is good, but add costume selection for abdomen. Lower body, how about as for as legging, do upper left and a seperate upper right, then lower left and lower right. It will open up more costume options, and make for some interesting costumes.

Really, I've bin wanting them to make SS so that you can run across the water so that I don't have to super dogie paddle from mission to mission. :P

Great idea we can experience the joy of suffocating from lac of oxygen or better yet explosive decompression. Though they are supposed to be working on space station arias.

And so you can knock enough of them down/ burn them so that you can summon the Super Giant Monster "Smoky the Demon Were-bear."

Better yet a surf travel power. Summon up waves you can ride. Even through the city and missions. Drown friend and enemies alike. Haha

Good idea but way hard on graphics cards.

Never happen, they still haven't figured out how to do long hair.

Need a better way to sort threw all the options first. Thumbnails if the individual parts or something.

Oh and this is so the wrong thread for this sort of thing. Expect it to be moved or something.

wait, aren't flowing tails and flowing long hair part of i17? Although I imagine it's similar to anchoring a cape onto your head, of course.

It'd be kind of funny if they ever put in weather and roll it off with an invasion of thundercloud monsters from Storm Palace retinted gray. THE COMING STORM!

Tails are animated the same way tails are and it is in i17, animated hair may never come...a CoH2 however...

~12gigs is quite a bit to lose just because they're lying about a gig really is.

My2x1Tb drives both report 935Gb in the OS, but 1,000,202,240,000 bytes in Properties...it is confusing and one of the manufacturers was taken to court about the issue...now I think both, or an equivalence marker, is mandatory...and on the patch...yeah I can't wait either

you can swim underwater. 2nd mission of itf, in the caves. there are water pools with cysts in the room, you can swim underwater.

Does this mean there are updated textures as a part of Ultra Mode?

I never got the impression it was any more than "systems" like shadows and reflections, but that, to me, doesn't seem like it would need such a large patch.

We all hope, but you can never know until it's out! Just because they don't mention it doesn't mean it won't happen, but I doubt it will happen. I wish they would do something like Lord of the Rings online did. LoTRO has a separate client to load DX9 or DX10 textures. That would be really nice The same people still play together, but if you have a better computer you can have the awesome graphics and textures . That would be a great way to implement such a change! Just my opinion, but it works well for them lol!

Yeah ... that's a pretty damn sizable patch

Of course, knowing this dev team, I wouldn't be surprised if some finished art resources for Going Rogue were slipped in as well in order to make both the future pre-download and the download itself more manageable.

Still, that's gonna take a little while.

Wait, why is everyone debating the size of a GB? I know it's 1024 MB. Either way, 876 MB is still pretty close to 1000 or 1024.

Just say no to the thought of a CoH2, really there is no need for it, unless they want to go in the past or the future, but then wait they'll just make time traveling devices.

Think of CoH: GR as CoH 3.

And history so far has shown that MMO sequels do one thing and do it quite well - split the playerbase and weaken both games (sometimes killing one of them). I don't think you're going to see NCSoft try making Lineage III or sOE make Everquest III. Could be wrong.

And Guild Wars isn't exactly a standard MMO, before that gets cited. If anything, its an online Diablo with a multiplayer component. I'd honestly be happier if it was offline, myself.

That method wouldn't work here, since this isn't a DirectX game. CoH is running on OpenGL and much of the engine was designed when OpenGL was in version 1.0

Go ahead and download it now. There's no reason not to. And this way, if/when you get into Closed Beta, you're good to go.

And if you don't make it into Closed Beta, well, you'll have more patches to download, too, since they usually have an additional 2-3 patches during Closed Beta.

Even when I'm not in, I check daily for patches. That way, when I finally have access, either through being part of a wave of Closed Beta, or the Beta going Open, I'm all ready to go!!

Which is why the devs specifically said Ultra-mode wouldn't require Vista or Windows 7 - no need for DX10 or DX11.
