Hi guys!

The Powerset Proliferation was the i16 decision to make many previously exclusively blue/red sided sets available for the other team, an example of this is the inclusion of Claws as a Brute move. Now I seem to remember reading somewhere on this forum that more PP's would be on their way at a later date, so the purpose of this post is to ask what sets everyone would like added and the classes to which they'd like to see them added.

To clarify, please state which existing sets you'd like to see added to a class that doesn't currently have them.

I'd like to see spines added to Brutes. It's very chaotic and uncontrollable so it just makes a lot more sense as a Brute power (where unintended casualties are no biggie) than it does as a Scrapper power (where the good-guys would feel awful if a civilian took a Quill to the throat).

There have been countless threads like this, but I guess people never get tired of talking about powerset proliferation (it is a wonderful thing).

The only powersets I really, really want proliferated:

Ice Melee to Stalkers

Ice Armor to Stalkers

And at some point in the future, I'd really like Shields to be reworked to fit Stalkers, because I love Shields and I love Stalkers, but I can't have them together!

And I suppose I'd like to try Energy Aura on a Tank, too.

A tweaked Dark Blast for blasters.

Why tweaked? Because I kind of doubt the devs will give blasters a set with a true self heal included. The only other set that appears to have been defender exclusive in the beginning was Psychic Blast....and well, that got mangled when tey gave it to blasters.

I'd only like to see 1 change made to Dark Blast for blasters. Take Life Drain and change it into a Follow Up-like power that buffs you when you use it. It would retain everything else, damage, recharge, end cost, but instead of a heal it would give a to-hit and damage buff like Follow Up from Claws does. If it also debuffed your enemy's to-hit and damage as a side effect that would be nice, but not necessary.

I think something like that would fit in Dark Blast because of the number of DoT powers in the set (3, Gloom, Tenebrous Tentacles, and Nightfall). It would make more sense to have a rolling sustainable buff as opposed to a larger buff on a longer recharge like Aim or Build Up for DoTs.

Other than that I'd like to see scrappers get Energy an possibly Super Strength, though Rage would need to be tweaked in the latter case. Possibility of a permanent 200% damage buff seems a little overpowered. (Double-stacked Rage)

I'd like to see this too. However, since scrappers have a higher base damage the developers could just lower the damage buff of rage to keep it in track.

Some of the ones I've been wanting for a while are:

Fire blast for defenders. In most cases, they get relatively strong debuffs in their blast sets, but a lot of the time those just aren't needed. My dark/psi, for example, couldn't care less that his secondary does -rech - everything is already trembling in fear, debuffed into smithereens, or both. So a blast set where the secondary effect is 'moar damage!' would be very welcome for soloing purposes. Not to mention that I've got a couple of different concepts that would really fit fire blast well.

Illusion for dominators. No fancy concepts here, I just want this awesome set on my favorite AT. It would be a hell of a novelty to finally be able to fight PToD bosses without using a tray full of purples. It's also just a fun set.

Stone melee and energy melee for scrappers. I just want these fun offense sets on an AT where I can go nuts without worrying about fury. Stone melee is the smashiest, funnest melee set in the game for me, and I want it on my favorite melee AT. And I'm going to make an EM scrapper, stick knockback procs into all the attacks, and run around laughing my head off whenever something goes flying.

Ninjitsu for scrappers, simply because I'm tired of trying to make SR 'work'. 'Soft cap or bust' as the only real option gets really annoying after a while when you're poor. Ninjitsu is a much more well designed set in my opinion.

I never thought I'd say this, but spines for tanks, simply because the idea of an ice/spines with three aggro auras sounds hilarious. Now that you can customize the looks, I might actually consider making a spines or thorny assault character someday - once animation customization reaches the set and you can change the ripper and impale animations, anyway!

I second both of these, especially since a spines tank's aggro would just cap out in seconds with the number of possible PbAoE taunts.

However, Ninjitsu would require some changes for scrappers in order to make sense in that AT. To me it seems that Smoke Flash would have to disappear since Placate isn't useful for scrappers.

My planned Dual Pistols Corruptor would very much like to have Poison available for a secondary.

Also, Sonic for Masterminds.

Ice Armor/Ice Melee for Brutes/Scrappers. I'm not sure which AT i'd roll, but i'm not really into running another tank.

Ninjitsu for scrappers... very very much want this...

Super Strengh for scrappers already.

Ill for Doms.

Fire/thermal for Defenders.

/Dark for controllers...

BS for Brutes...

I could go on... really, like i said before, just all of them. Get to it Devs!

In order of personal desire:
1. STONE. MELEE. FOR. SCRAPPERS. *SMASH*
2. All the weapons for melee (broadsword for brutes, warmace for scrappers, etc.)
3. Dark for blasters
4. Fire for 'fenders

Ninjitsu would need a couple of changes, which I assume is one of the reasons it hasn't been proliferated yet, but I don't think smoke flash is actually one of the powers that'd need changing.

Placate is not a stalker exclusive effect - it exists as an IO proc in the purple sleep set, and in a couple of different temp powers. It's not exactly common, but the precedent is there. It might not serve the core scrapper purpose of doing damage, but not every power is required to. It's also thematic as heck. Why should only evil ninjas be able to vanish in a cloud of smoke? Lastly, as it stands, it'd be a skippable power - possibly useful, but not mandatory - and I think it's important to leave some powers which can be skipped if you want. Basically, I don't think there's any real reason it *can't* be there, so I wouldn't mess with it.

The powers that would need to be changed, I think, are hide and caltrops. Hide is obvious - unlike the placate effect, that *is* a stalker exclusive. Looking at the other armor sets, dark armor comes to mind as a precedent. For scrappers, it has a generic stealth, which is replaced by hide on stalkers. I would expect the reverse to happen here - hide would go away and be replaced by a generic stealth.

Caltrops would need to be changed simply because they're already in a scrapper epic. I would swap them for something similarly gadgety, like a sleep dart or similar. Nothing too flashy, just a short range, short duration mez with a minor debuff (-damage?) attached. Again, like caltrops, useful but not mandatory.

With those two changes, I would think the set could be ported easily.

I'd vote for regen for brutes, axe for stalkers, energy melee for scrappers, ice melee for stalkers, and ice melee/armor for brutes. Sure they say that the slowness would cut down on fury gained, but Dark Armor stops mobs from attacking with cloak of fear, right?

I'm with Silas on Poison for corrs too, that's a good one.

Dang, took my response in the 2nd post

Ice stalkers would truly be a beast of a set. People always go on about how weak Ice melee is but it's really not that bad. And then when porting sets like that to Stalkers, they always *add more damage*.

Just gonna focus on the FF for Corruptors part. Force Field on a Corruptor would suffer from a similar issue as Trick Arrows, in that it would be nearly a duplicate of the Mastermind version.

The damage from Force Bolt and Repulsion Bomb would be higher, Dispersion Bubble would give a little more Mez Protection, and Insulation Shield would grant slightly higher resistance to End Drain and Recovery debuffs, but otherwise...

Corruptors and Masterminds share the same modifier value for Defense buffs, Knockback, and Mez (Durations or Mag).

Even worse, Personal Force Field for MMs would give higher Defense and higher Resistance than the Corruptor version.

Forcefield is another set I think needs a little work before Corruptors get it. Otherwise, it'll be like Corruptor Trick Arrows all over again (by that I mean ).

Edit: Sonic Resonance is pretty much in the same boat; it'll be nearly identical for MMs and Corruptors.

Okay i am not a big fan of corruptors, my highest is only at 23. But the set i want proliferated the most would have to be FF to corrs. I love FF and it is not used nearly as much redside (mainly due to only 1 AT having it imo).
