Assuming unlimited budget builds, those powersets are as close to "cosmic lvl" power as this game will allow.

Standing in that with hurricane on all that you have to worry about would be AoE and range damage. And again on an unlimited budget build those 2 positional defenses would be softcapped.

I have to go with DM/Shield as well. I saw my friend IO the hell out of one and then stand in a room full of Rikti bosses. Not only did he survive but he took them all down. With soul drain and against all odds and whatever other +damage he had from sets, he was close to 300% +damage much of the time. A shield charge at damage cap is awesome to behold.
He was soft-capped to all 3 positions and the -tohit was just icing.

Anyway, I've said my share. Nobody likes being criticized, and I am calling you on your behavior, which probably annoys you.
I've said this before: You can be a very helpful person at times. However, you have this tendency to be a pompous jerk who thinks everyone should adopt your perceived counter-culture playstyle. You would be far more successful if you would drop the tone in your posts and simply try to be much more affable to everyone and most importantly - don't react to others that criticize you. If you walk away from an argument, it's kind of hard for someone to argue with you.

My suggestion: A Warshade. Get Eclipse Perma, maybe grab some extra Defense if you can, and you're gold. My build (below) focuses primarily on Recharge bonuses. A build mixed with more defense would be more survivable, but I get along just fine.
