If you could be...

If you could be one of your heroes or villains, who would it be, and why?

I myself would be my fire blaster, Vivaria, except that I would trade out her super jump for flight. I've always thought it would be cool to manipulate fire and ice, and the energy manipulation would just be icing on the cake. And flight is about the ultimate super power.

How about you?

Not a single one...though I'd love to date a few of them.

You two are... weird.

Anyway, I honestly don't think I want to be anyone other than me. Though I suppose I wouldn't mind having super powers, so I'll play along.

It's kind of a tough call. Grey Pilgrim is a strong contender, as when I'm really ticked off, I do wish I could flame up and burn some stuff, heh. I think I would want to stick with Super Jump on the one hand, since it'd be pretty fun to hop around like that (as long as I didn't completely wreck everything I landed on, like The Tick).

You're right about flight, though, Viv. It'd be great fun to do that. So my Archery Blaster, Menelmacar, or my Energy Blaster, Marvelous Mentalist, would be fun there (both for their primaries, and for their ability to fly).

I'd be William Shakespeare, who in game is a rad/archery defender. I'd get to go back and revise the plays to include more pokemon and catgirls.

The questions was "If you could be one of your heroes or villains, who would it be, and why?" Perhaps I took it too literally. Since all my characters are female the answer is no. If it happened, I'd be doing the "Farscape thing"...for hours.

If Viv meant more in terms of having their powers, then my answer differs. I would definitely want to be a DM/WP scrapper. I would definitely run around doing crazy stunts with minimal concern for injury. I don't think I'd ever hit anyone, just knowing that I could is enough (ok that's partially true now.) I would use ToF to scare the **** out of certain people...daily. The only thing I would change would be the ability to do reverse a ToF. I can think of several situations I frequently deal with in which removing someones fear and anxiety would be fantastic.

Oh, Des, I jest and you take me so seriously.

And (here's another joke! ) I'm not sure I need to get out more. If it's normal for people to want to be a demon (succubus) or want to date a girl that could suck your soul out and has bat wings (I can't remember the bio of some of your characters, so I'm joking off the cuff here), I should be purchasing a shotgun with lots of ammo and boarding the door shut! Hmmmm, though I suppose all those freaky Twilight moms fall on this category, too! Excuse me while I go get a shotgun and some 2 x 4s!

Heh, Shakespeare already appeals to the masses of today. Shakespeare is bawdy enough to make watching an episode of SNL look tame.

I did note a few of my characters that would probably be fun to play/be, too.

Heh, I went heavy on the smilies in my second one, too.

I actually have a character with my real life real name (which I will not disclose) that I rolled in answer to this very question when I asked my self a while back. He is a FF/Mental/Psychic Defender. I always liked how the John Stewart Green Lantern used force fields to protect himself and others from harm, but instead of throwing energy blasts around, I wanted the fields to be the product of telekinesis. So I suppose my dream powers are some sort of cross between Jean Grey and Green Lantern.

And if we had real life teams, I'd always get invites cause force fields are awesome! Although when playing these thought games, I always try to choose powers that would be useful and non-combat situations, and Telekinesis definitely takes the cake there.

Would probably have to go with Cookie Thief, my stone/fire tank. Something about turning from a tiny excessively cute catgirl(to the point of making people's brains hurt from cuteness overload) into a ginormous rock golem and smashing/burning things endlessly, seems appealing...

Second choice would be Nivek, my fire/storm corruptor, since he's loosly based on me...

Most of my toons are somewhat complicated/dark/twisted (i.e. not in a very happy place) so I don't think I would want to be them. From that perspective, I would want to be my defender, Chun Tse (who is fairly Zen) or my Tanker, Major Eruption (who jumps around and bashes things with his stone mace).

If the question is which I would want from the perspective of powers, I still think Major Eruption, as he can wade into a mob, plant himself, then bash those around him with reckless abandon. It is fun, and very cathartic

I would go with Toril as originally conceived.

I'm 'shocked' that you wouldn't want to be Vivace.

It's a toss up. Be able to reach over the counter and zap the annoying customer and make him do the Shaky Shaky Dance, or immolate him where he stands?

-ponders-

It's a tough choice.

I'm not certain which of my toons I would want to be. It would be a blaster, that's for sure.

I suspect it's a toss-up between my fire/em blaster, Scorching Flux, and the first toon I made in CoH: My energy/fire blaster, Particle Flux.

The fire/em because, well, it can be a beast. The energy/fire because imho, energy blast has the best looking animation/coloring in the game pre-customization. (If I'd only made it /em...Stupid first toon noob...)

They both fly, so that is a plus as well.

Masque- I see what you did there...

Ah, so trying the "going rogue" route with that?

Flux, don't encourage Masque. Heh.

I'm not sure if I've got the stomach to be a hero in CoH style. Lets see, I love my fire melee /WP scrapper a ton, but I've been to a few RL burn wards at hospitals, the effects of burning someone to near death is hard to see. Let's see, I've got a broadsword, dual blades, claws and an axer...chops, slices and beheadings are equally tough on the soul.

I guess I'd have to chose my archery blaster, sticking arrows into someone doesn't seem that bad, and he's got superspeed and flight, along with hasten and some other fun powers.

I was looking through my toons and was about to post that I wouldn't want to be any of them and then I remembered my katana/SR toon. Mastery of the katana plus tech to enhance his reflexes/abilities (plus the skill to build said tech, and the *coughmoneycough* of course.)

Oi...this is tough. So, I'll go at it from the good side/bad side perspective.

If I'm in a good mood, would most likely be my BS/SR scrapper a close second being my Earth/Sonic troller (save for the fact he's an 8' Anubis replicant!!)

If I'm in a bad mood, almost assuredly my Energy/Nin Stalker. Being able to take down things obstacles quickly, vitrually unseen, self-healing, ability to dodge attacks, confuse my opponents, leap from rooftop to rooftop.....yeah, that sounds good.

Hang on a minute, there's a couple people in suits with dark sunglasses at my door. I wonder what they want...
